Soi39 Mannheim is an absolute gem among Thai restaurants! From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere transports you to the vibrant streets of Bangkok. The authenticity of their dishes is unparalleled, each bite bursting with flavors that truly capture the essence of Thai street food. A standout feature of this restaurant is its cash-only policy, which might initially seem inconvenient, but fear not! An ATM is conveniently located nearby, eliminating any hassle and ensuring you can savor your meal without any worries. Be sure to plan ahead and reserve a table because this place gets busy, and rightly so! The word has spread about their mouthwatering offerings, and the crowds eagerly gather to experience the culinary delights. When you visit Soi39 Mannheim, make sure to bring along some company, as the food portions are impressively generous. The best strategy is to order an array of dishes and share with your companions. That way, you get to sample a delightful variety and revel in the communal dining experience, just like the locals in Thailand. From the delectable Pad Thai to the spicy Tom Yum soup, every dish will leave you in awe of the skilled chefs' artistry. Soi39 Mannheim has truly mastered the art of bringing the vibrant tastes of Thailand to your plate. If you're craving an unforgettable Thai dining experience that mirrors the streets of Bangkok, look no further than Soi39 Mannheim. Prepare to be wowed by the authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and a delightful dining adventure you'll want to relive over and over again.

(UPDATED) BEST AND MOST AUTHENTIC Thai restaurant I have found so far in Germany (okay at least in Rheinland Pfalz and Baden Württemberg region). I have been living in Bangkok for 3 months and in the meantime also traveled inside the country, so I know how does it really taste. So i really recommended people to come here and eat the real Thai Foods. It is lil bit outside Mannheim Quadrate so u have to drive bit inside Mannheim, but now they also have tables inside which is more comfortable and better all and all. Is expensive yes, but I can understand, they used the real Thailand products so they prolly need more expenses in the ingredients. So I totally okay with it😁 I completely recommend u to try their Som Tam (9/10), Frittierte Morning Glory (10/10) Knusprige Schweinebauch (9,5/10), Pad Thai (8,5/10), Yam Ped Yang (9/10), Miang Kham (9/10) and maybe if u come with ur friends or family u can try they mix platter so u can try many small dishes at the same time😋 Thai ice tea with milk (9,5/10) is also super recommended, it tastes just exactly like u would buy them from street vendors in Thailand🥹 I‘ve tried their Pad Krapao with duck as well (9/10) and the Prawns with tamarind sauce (9/10) i feel like everything is super delicious here, i could just come here everyday! Ah their dessert, the pea flower sticky rice with ice mango was also amazing (9/10) - make sure to share since it‘s quite a huge portion. Make sure to reserve a table especially during the weekend, and they only accept cash so don‘t forget you Bargeld home😆

Nice little Thai restaurant with great ambience. The staff is very friendly. The waiting times after ordering food is not very long. Food tastes very good. I would recommend this place.

If you like legit Thai Food, this is your choice! Soi 39 made me homesick, made me miss Bangkok. I grew up in Thailand and this place brought back memories. Not only is the food superb and none of this “pretend” Thai food. The food is like what I’d get at a good place in Thailand. It’s legit 🏆😍🇹🇭 We had the Moo Krob (fried pork with dipping sauce) + Pad Thai Gai (pad thai with chicken) + Gaeng Keow Waan Gai (green curry with chicken) and every single dish was authentic. The green curry was slightly spicy, nicely flavoured with tasty pieces of chicken and real Thai eggplants, which are a rarity outside of Thailand. 🥘 The Moo Krob (crispy fried pork belly with dipping sauce) was spot on! Yes please. German pork prepared Thai style. 🐷 Pad Thai Chicken comes served on a hot plate with an egg omelette as a base. Usually i’ve got the egg ontop or chopped up into strips, this was a different take and very good! 🍗 Nice vibes from the owner/staff and the whole interior fuses together old school German with old school Thai and a hint of modern Thai (plastic carry case for condiments & plastic napkin dispenser). Even their bathrooms have items from Thailand on the wall. Loved it. 💰Cash Only - hope they’ll accept cards next time :) Thank you! 😍 *************** 👋🏻 Hey fellow Google Maps friend, If you also enjoyed your meal at SOI 39 in Mannheim, do let me know by giving this review a thumbs up 👍🏆 Thank you 🙏

The food is exquisitely authentic and delicious. The ambience is really cool it was not as noisy as I had expected so you can have good conversations while savoring good flavors of Thailand. The only quirk I have is the price. 20€ for Tom yum gung (for 2) is pretty steep.

***** The Verdict***** The Place: Feels very at home ❤️ typical Thai House for its atmosphere. The Food: so for the food, got the Fried Morning Glory, Yam salad and Original Phad Thai. All of them are so Aunthentic and good! They used original Thai Ingredient and the the Phad Thai is not with instant Thai sauce, it is very genuine 👍 The People: Thai Personell runs the business so expect Asian Hospitality at its best ❤️ Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was simply amazing. Great service, nice ambience, and outstanding cuisine. We had the Thai pancakes (starter), vegan duck and a Pad Thai. The food was prepared perfectly, veggies were crunchy, vegan duck was crispy and all well seasoned. Book 3-4 days in advance to get a table !

You’ll never be disappointed by this Thai restaurant! I mean, it’s probably the best one I’ve ever eaten in Europe. It’s very traditional Thai food, spicy enough, can be a little bit sour though, but it’s like 8.8/10, I was very impressed I could find this restaurant in Mannheim, recommended to all of you who enjoys exotic cuisines.

This is the best Thai food I have ever had in my life. Let alone the ice tea is stunning (the one with lemon). I could drink it all day! I can recommend Pad Thai!

This was only an ok experience. As my wife is from Thailand and we spend a reasonable amount of time there the food was not up to the standard other places in German provide. Thai cuisine features certain flavours brought forth by the way they are prepared. Especially stir fried dishes like the Thai comfort food Phat kaphrao feature a distinct slightly charred aroma from the preparation in the wok. This was lacking here entirely. The flavour profile in its entirety was to mild for what you would expect from real Thai food, especially when the restaurant has “street food” in its name. Phat kaphrao from auntie at the corner shop in Bangkok still beats this by a mile. Especially as the quality of ingredients is not the problem here at all, they are good in fact but unable to shine do to the afore mentioned problems. The price point therefore is also not warranted, even for a metropolitan area in Germany. As of now, not recommended.

Not located in the very centre of the city but traffic is convenient. Even during weekdays nearly all tables were reserved, at least between 6 pm and 8 pm. The reserved time slot is 1 h 50 min, and additional order, in our case 15 min before the end, is not accepted. Iced green tea with milk is a little strong but gets milder when the ice melts. Kra pao is not on the menu. Here only with chicken (not with pork). Unfortunately it was not available the week we went. We tried Pad Thai Original and Knuspiger Schweinebauch, both delicious. The service was quite friendly. Overall worth recommendation.

Outstanding - one of our best restaurant experiences. Authentic food, super nice staff, great atmosphere. Lots of vegan/veggie choices, gluten-free options, no glutamat. Appreciate the attention to detail throughout the restaurant. Seriously- If you enjoy Thai food then this place is a must visit. But: leave your credit card at home and bring actual money, because cash only.

we went to the restaurant due to the high rating. but everything is just not that good. 1. u need to wait looooong time to get ur dish even it's just a salad. 2.everything is soooo sweet with soar. 3.salads r too big to swallow. all the dished have the same side vegetable. 4.little expensive for the size. hard to be full. 5.can not take card, but the ATM is just nearby.

Incredibly good food. A nice selection of special drinks. Great atmosphere. Prices are appropriate. The only downside is that they have a very strict booking schedule and they WILL kick you out after your alloted time is up. I'm still coming back.

Fabulous experience that we stumbled upon on our way past mannheim. Authentic Thai food - the som tam, the fried morning Glory was just brilliant. Fresh vibrant and tasty. Loved it so much that we drove back again the next day to ensure we could eat dinner here. We live in Rotterdam but will be back again for some great thai food. - the Dutch trip
