I was specifically looking forward to visiting this place during my day trip to Mannheim, and long story short - it took my breath away! Out of this world experience! I had a feeling someone took me to China for a moment! It was a little complicated to get to the tea house, as I had to use one of the official entrances to the Luisenpark and currently the closest one is at the base of Fernmeldeturm. When I got there at around 1 PM the place was fairly empty, only a couple of visitors, however an hour later it was a crowded and bustling place. Once I walked around the tea house surrounded by a pond full of koi carps I sat down for a little refreshment. They offer here a large variety of tea and something small to eat - Chinese dumplings. While I was waiting for the food and tea I enjoyed listening to the sounds of nearby waterfalls as well as traditional chinese music, the atmosphere in the secluded yard was very calming and relaxing! Tea is served as in China - tea leaves are placed in a cup and you can make as many infusions as you want. I got a beautiful porcelain cup to drink from, however the overall impression of my little tea ceremony was a little spoiled by having a plastic kettle with boiling water next to my cup. The tea I had was absolutely delicious! It was so good that I wanted to buy some. Luckily the majority of the tea offered in the menu are for sale so I walked away with a bag of China Jade Jasmine Pearls tea! Chinese dumplings were exquisite, especially the pork ones! I would not mind tasting each and every item on the menu next time. For both tea and dumplings I waited less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately we had a little misunderstanding at the beginning about the payment options as I didn’t have any cash, therefore I ended up wiring the money to their account (odd and unusual but it worked). The service was very nice and friendly, spoke some English, and generally tried to make sure my experience was great! Toilets were available at the back of the building and were relatively clean. Once I finished snacking I explored the tea house and its beautiful and well maintained gardens. The highlight was of course the building itself, the detailing and architecture is spectacular! The whole place is very photogenic and picturesque, especially at the entrance from the moon bridge! Absolute highlight of my visit, both in terms of food and sightseeing! 100% recommended! Visited in June 2022.

Food: 4/5 We tried the tea, it was great! The black jasmine pearl tea was great in aroma. The green tea was easy and nice to drink. Tried some of the dim sums, it was pretty good. Not over the top dim sums but it was still tasty. Service: 5/5 Super nice and friendly, attentive and accommodating.

Wow what an impressive and very authentic place. You really feel as if you have just travelled to china. Biggest Chinese tea house in Europe as part of one of the most beautiful landscapers parks in Germany.

Great tea options and the area is really nice, but the service is slooow! It took 1 hour to serve 2 cups of tea. Also, no card payments unfortunately.

The views and the location is nice. However the tea and the service is very lack luster. It take a very long time to get service. Also a long to to get your tea and food. They apper to very understaffed also many tables seem to be coved in dirty dishes and not being cleaned. Orders are being messed up and mixed up. Would only recommend to go if you have a lot of patience. Other than that very disappointing.

Beautiful setting if you want to sit down in the garden but the service is quite deplorable, the staff do not speak English and the menu is in German only. Food is ok but nothing incredible.

We have realy enjoyed. Were 5 persons. An exemplary Chinese tea ceremony. The hosts are kind, the tea is perfect and so is the dumpling

The garden is awesome and the tee is indeed very good. However, the waiters are inattentive and unfriendly. On top of that, I had the unpleasant experience that I had paid a bill of 9 € with a 20 € bill, but only got one euro back. After I pointed out the mistake, the waitress gave me back the remaining 10 €. My impression was that this wasn't just negligence but was done intentionally. I had ordered a little snack: They brought a snack that was still wrapped in plastic foil. Furthermore, the snack was different from the description that was given in the menu. I was quite disappointed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this tea house at all. It is really a shame that the staff is so bad, because the location deserves better.

Had a lovely time with my grandma there and we’re served by the sweetest woman from Portland. Service can be slow but the people working there make it worth it! On the menu is a selection of Chinese teas (black, white oolong, jasmine and more) A must go if you’re visiting the park

Lovely teas selection ,delicious strawberry cake!. You get your value by ordering tea here. A flask of water and you can drink 2-3cups from the tea leaves. Clean restrooms. Sitting outside is more to my taste. Inside is overwhelming with Chinese incense?

5 stars from me but DO NOT ORDER COFFEE here! It tastes like Klix cappuccino, which has more sugar in it than coffee. The service went out of their way to fix it. (5 stars for that) Hey, managers, please get a decent coffee machine.
