The
most
beautiful
water
tower
I
have
seen
and
a
popular
landmark
of
Mannheim!
It
was
the
first
place
I
visited
during
my
tour
of
the
city
and
I
left
with
mixed
feelings.
The
tower
itself
is
stunning,
huge
and
beautifully
decorated
in
art
nouveau
style,
however
when
I
looked
closer
I
saw
a
lot
of
rubbish
lying
around,
engravings
and
graffiti
on
the
railing/walls
and
trash
in
the
water
fountains
located
on
the
side
of
the
building
-
I
guess
that's
what
you
can
expect
on
public
place
with
free
entry.
Apart
from
the
little
walkway
around
the
tower's
base
(it
is
inaccessible
during
the
nights)
and
admiration
of
statues
at
the
front
ledge,
there
is
nothing
much
to
do,
you
are
not
permitted
to
visit
inside
the
tower.
I
must
say
I
enjoyed
the
park
surrounding
the
tower
a
lot,
it
was
very
colorful
as
the
flowers
were
in
full
bloom,
grass
was
super
green
and
well
maintained,
there
were
many
benches
to
sit
on
and
relax,
and
plenty
of
shade
from
big
trees.
Only
the
small
front
fountain
was
working,
the
main
rear
fountain
was
fenced
and
closed
for
renovation,
quite
a
misfortunate.
As
Wasserturm
is
located
centrally,
there
are
plenty
of
shops
and
stores
nearby.
It
was
not
busy
at
all
during
Sunday
mid
day.
Definitely
a
place
not
to
be
missed
while
in
Mannheim!
