This is a beautiful park area with benches throughout the park. Some benches have better shade than others. The tower itself is nice, but the fountains are really what ties the park together. I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the city, even for a little stroll.

We came to visit after many, many years. The place is great for a walk, and a picnic, especially during the warm period while the water is flowing. We bought the cakes and coffee at the Starbucks right across the road.b

If you visit Mannheim, this is a must see site. Underground parking was easy access. Many Shopping Stores and Café are in the surrounding area. The Waterfall was spectacular. I will return to this location.

This awe inspiring tower is just awesome to view. It is winter so thing we're closed off and no fountains were on. Still a great area to walk around and take in the sites. We will visit again in warmer weather and hope everything is back and working.

So many green spots, I love it 💚💚💚💚 as a park lover, this place is a great place to have a picnic with families and friends or even just me time and reading books. It takes circa 10 minutes walking from the main station I guess.

Probably, one of the best places to drop by in summer when in Mannheim. The Fountains behind the Wasserturm are just spectacular. In December the Tower hosts the famous Christmas market of the city.

Went Manheim on this weekend during my Germany trip and then went to this beautiful place where we took several pictures. There is nice atmosphere inside the park, you will absolutely love it. I will rate this place 5/5, because of it's surreal architecture and last but not the least you can easily find out the parking.

Very nice place to take a break during a city tour. Trees and walls provide shady spots right in front of the landmark. If you want to sunbathe, use the extensive meadow areas.

A central point of the city, five minutes by foot from the central station. You can spend some free time during your visit to Mannheim. Would a great place to visit even if you have around one hour layover at Mannheim central station to another destination :)

It's a lovely monument, you can walk up the stairs and get a great view down the main street and just behind the water tower is the monument to Karl Benz, so take the time and walk right down the path of the fountain.

The Wasserturm in Mannheim is a captivating architectural gem. This stunning water tower, constructed in the early 20th century, combines elements of Art Nouveau and Neo-Baroque styles. Its intricate details, stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural heritage. Today, the Wasserturm houses a restaurant, adding a touch of elegance to dining. Set amidst the Friedrichsplatz gardens and reflecting in the adjacent pond, it's an iconic and picturesque landmark. Whether admired during the day or illuminated at night, the Wasserturm Mannheim is a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.

It’s near to main Mannheim market and good to visit in evening time. Take couple of photos before leaving infront of fountain and garden.

Probably the nicest place in Mannheim and quite beautiful. On one side it faces a large street and a small park and on the other side a huge fountain and a far larger really beautiful park. Also quite central in the inner city of Mannheim and completely free. Worth a visit!

A great historical monument (built from 1886 to 1889) and its well-designed garden, statues and water fountains has made a nice and enjoyable place for Mannheim's evenings.

A picture of the Wasserturm doesn't even comes close to actually seeing and feeling how majestic the tower really is. It's a must see in person day or night.

The most beautiful water tower I have seen and a popular landmark of Mannheim! It was the first place I visited during my tour of the city and I left with mixed feelings. The tower itself is stunning, huge and beautifully decorated in art nouveau style, however when I looked closer I saw a lot of rubbish lying around, engravings and graffiti on the railing/walls and trash in the water fountains located on the side of the building - I guess that's what you can expect on public place with free entry. Apart from the little walkway around the tower's base (it is inaccessible during the nights) and admiration of statues at the front ledge, there is nothing much to do, you are not permitted to visit inside the tower. I must say I enjoyed the park surrounding the tower a lot, it was very colorful as the flowers were in full bloom, grass was super green and well maintained, there were many benches to sit on and relax, and plenty of shade from big trees. Only the small front fountain was working, the main rear fountain was fenced and closed for renovation, quite a misfortunate. As Wasserturm is located centrally, there are plenty of shops and stores nearby. It was not busy at all during Sunday mid day. Definitely a place not to be missed while in Mannheim! Visited in June 2022.

Manheim was one of the first places we had visited when we came to Germany. It's a great place, it has many options for eating out and this park it's lovely to seat under the sunshine at lunch time. The park was really well taken care of and it was pretty clean.

It is not worthy a visit at the moment due to the refurbishment work being carried out to the fountain. In winter all the trees and flowers are dead.

An excellent place to walk and enjoy the view. Fountains are turned on during summer. The night view of the tower and fountain is magical.

Short visiting at morning between trains. Surrounding roads really make the perfect matches with the Wasserturm. Though ine side is on constructuon, it is perfect to enjoy on the other side.

Good place to rest after a walk in Mannheim. Lush grass ground under tree shades is quite peaceful. The water fountains create a good environment in summers.
