A building with history worth seeing, not only from the outside but also inside on 4 floors deep down into the basement. It looks a lot from the outside and you can hardly tell which eras it has been through and how it has been changed again and again. The exhibition is worth seeing and at €3.50 it's not too expensive considering what's on offer and how much it costs to maintain it today...

We've been to Ladenburg so many times, but we've never noticed the Lobdengau Museum. It's a bit embarrassing.

One of the most exciting city museums I have visited so far, where you can see a wealth of archaeological finds from the city's long history. What impressed me most was the Roman section in the basement, which gives a very vivid impression of the period. Remains of columns, amphorae, artistic copper fittings, jewelry, games, clay pipes, armor, weapons, and a variety of finds in surprisingly good condition are shown here. I am very grateful to the two very nice older ladies at the entrance for motivating me to see this (free!) exhibition.

Beautiful museum in the heart of Ladenburg. In the historical building you can find out about the history of the Roman town of Ladenburg. The museum is located in the old town. Parking directly at the museum is usually not possible as there are very few parking spaces available in the old town. From the school center parking lot you can reach the museum in just a few minutes on foot. The museum extends over several floors which are barrier-free accessible via an elevator.

Beautiful museum, with very informative exhibits. From the Stone Age, through the Romans, to more modern topics. Most of the exhibits also come from the surrounding area. A real insider tip.

Very nice little local museum. The section about Ladenburg's Roman period is particularly impressive!

Affordable, very interesting and nice staff. I particularly like the furniture from the Baier family from the Odenwald on the top floor.

A really great place, full of history, very lovingly designed and with an incredibly friendly staff who took their time. Answered questions calmly and allowed you to touch antique mammoth molars. Simply class. Convince yourself. Keep it up.
