So, disclaimer* we had 2 free adult tickets, only paid for our 3 kids (€40?). That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here, but we did walk through the whole thing in under an hour. Now, our kids do tend to run to each exhibit as fast as the next (excitement). It really is what you make it, if we had spent over €70 for our family of 5, we may have lingered longer. It does seem a bit pricey for the size and exhibits, but, we have been to many aquariums and this (in our opinion) was one of the neatest atmospheres! The whole aquarium is just one big exciting exhibit in itself. Our kids absolutely loved it and we thoroughly enjoyed watching them! Also, many people commented regarding the food. We didn't eat but did look at the menu, we thought the prices were reasonable. However, we didn't eat, maybe the foods not good lol. We had a good time, it wasn't crowded at all, and the balcony where you can sit and eat if you wanted had lovely views! *side note* You should update your website for ticket purchases. When entering the billing address for cc info, there is no option for the US or even the UK. I was unable to purchase tickets online because of this. Just a recommendation if that can be fixed!

fishes in tiny tanks. They should be in the sea, not in glass tanks. What an horrible place REPLY TO YOUR REPLY: What about I put you in a tiny tank and see how you feel? Would you say you have sufficient space? If you care and want to educate people, start by not capturing animals and putting them in jail

Sea life Speyer is a great place to come with the family. It's even more easy while the German 9 euro travel ticket is on. While the building is relatively small, it isn't too expensive and will easily keep any fish living kids amused for an hour or two. The exhibitions are displayed with German and English info. There are not many big fish but there are some cool exhibits like the large tank with shark, tuna and a sea turtle and the coral tank. I wish the building and exhibits were of the same scale and exoticness as the address life center Birmingham, but my son didn't care and had fun from start to finish. Oh and even though we went on a Saturday or was not crowded and the cafeteria on the second floor was not expensive which is also a bonus.

(Translated by Google) I was there with my 2 children. Collecting the stamps is great for kids. The information too. However, at the price of 55 euros, I expected a little more for my children and myself. For 1 hour it's nice for the kids, but nothing more.

Quite a small aquarium compared to other Sea Life centres I have been to in the UK but it was still a good day, my 5 month old daughter loved it. It took us around 1.5 hours to go around the while thing and then we had food upstairs after ❤️

It was nice experience visiting there, if you are someone who loves fishes, it's a must visit place. It's like visiting a large size aquarium. You can see a large variety of fishes which are eye popping.

Small but nice. They have everything from seahorses to jellyfish, sharks and even a sea turtle. The aquarium glass is clear so you can see all the sea animals very clearly. The big aquarium tank at the end has all the Nemo characters and then some. Take your time as the place is rather small. But overall nice experience for younger kids.

First impression: Parking is somewhat limited and not free. The aquarium itself is smaller than I expected from the ticket price. The aisles are really narrow, and when we visited today it was quite crowded so it was rather difficult to move - at some places, it was even difficult to see the sea creatures. The underwater tunnel was really short and again narrow like the rest of the aquarium. However, they have a good variety of sea creatures, grouped in interesting enclosures with information in both German and English. Staff are friendly. Toilets are free and clean.

Visiting with teenagers during Covid Pandemic. The entrance fee is quite high for what sea life offers. If you expect a huge complex with various sea worlds and topics than you will be disappointed. The place is small and offers some great animals in the underwater world. Everything is more or less designed for little children but our teens could still enjoy a fun time taking pictures of different angles of the fishes. We spent around 80 minutes in there. Sometimes we were rushed due to keeping distance rules and the need to leave a place because the next visitors entered the security distance. We give it 3 stars since it is entertaining but with prices being so expensive, we will definitely not go again.

It's good for children but they have small place so it's not possible to have Dolphin or whale in this Aquarium. An improvement is needed definitely as there are no information boards in english only a few parts have the information in english if you press a button.

I was there yesterday, not too busy. Paid 19€ for entry, was done seeing everything in less than 1 hour. Nice but too small comparing to the entry fee, i agree with other comments its a bit disappointing for adults.

(Translated by Google) Very nice to look at. Great tour. Unique underwater world. Not cheap, but worth the trip. The children can get a riddle book where questions and tasks have to be solved at various stations. If everything is stamped correctly in the booklet, the kids will receive a trophy at the end. In the restaurant there is quick food, so that you can strengthen yourself before driving home. We all liked it and we'll be back. (Original) Sehr schön anzuschauen. Toller Rundgang. Einmalige Unterwasserwelt.

Fortunately I read several reviews before we visited today so I knew our visit would only be about an hour and wasn't expecting a gigantic aquarium. I loved it though. The floor was clearly marked throughout so that it was clear how far apart groups should be. A disinfectant station was available at the entrance and exit as well as a sink just before the gift shop. Overall, my worries about being out during the time of Corona were calmed, and I felt good about threw precautions taken there. In general, there were lots of interesting sea creatures and coral to see so that my family and I alll had a fun experience!

Not value for money, not many big fishes like sharks and there are no reptiles even. it's very expensive and the place is so small, some fishes are kept on very small aquarium.

Lovely way to spend an hour and a half on a rainy day. Interesting to see the fish native to Germany as well as tropical ones.

  • 4/5 Alistair B. 2 years ago on Google
Looks small from the outside but they've done a really good job getting lots of exhibits in. Turtles, sharks, big fish, small fish, Jellyfish, lobsters, seahorses. Kid enjoyed it a lot!

We enjoyed the visit during a rainy day. Good working hygiene concept and easy purchase of tickets via the app possible. Loved the variable lighting feature for the jellyfish!

Sea life in Speyer is a relatively small aquarium. It is situated near a marina and the rein river. There is a bar upstairs with toilets, including a disappear changing table. People working there are usually nice and helpful and they are constantly cleaning touching places as glasses and handrails. Outside there are tables where you can sit, even if the sea life is already closed. There are no free parking spots near sea life. You can park on the street (minimum 2 EUR=2 hours) or in the sea life park ( I am not sure about the prices). What I specially like is that the aquariums are usually near the floor, so small children can explore on their own, without asking the whole time to be carried. We went there with our son when he was 2 and 3 years old, and both times he had a lot of fun.

Loved this place!!! Very ideal for a kids day out! my kids had so much fun but so did I, I would absolutely recommend this place for everyone!! it's lovely!!!

Great assortment of aquatic life, I was especially thrilled with the Piranhas and shark. The gift shop was also neat, I got a penguin snow globe and penguin magnet to add to my arctic decor at home. Though I would have loved to seen some arctic creatures, it's very understandable why there were none. Parking isn't that bad either, just three Euro. There is a scavenger hunt for the children and for two euro you can get a souvenir Euro with sea creatures on it. I hope to make another round someday.

Beautiful place to learn about the marine world. The kids will absolutely enjoy it. The visit is well organized with an online ticket booking system and a slot based entry to avoid crowds. A huge variety of marine life can be seen here. Absolutely recommended to visit. It takes around 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete visit.

Great place to go with family and definitely with kids to see lots of fish. Unfortunately you cannot use cash. Either to pay at the door or in the shop or at the restaurant. Even if you you want a coin souvenir or shark teeth they cannot exchange your bills to coins. A 5 star would have been given if they had put that on their webpage like they did to their tickets.

This was something just to get out of the house. To me -it was kind of small compared to other aquariums. There is a small interaction area, gift shop & snacks served here as well as an elevator. It's best to book in advance, there were people turned around at the door. You can book the same day, but at least 2-3 hours before you go is best (weekend trip)

  • 3/5 Sel 1 year ago on Google
We went on a rainy Saturday and the place was crowded. If you have the chance get your tickets in advance and try to avoid the usual visiting times. The place itself was quite small but really well designed and family friendly. Plenty, of fish and even a little interactive area where you are allowed to touch some starfish. All in all a nice place to spend an hour and continue to visit Speyer.

Enjoyable place, especially for kids. Decent amount of various sea-life, organised in interesting manner. It is rather small, divided into two compartments, 1h is more than enough to see it all, even twice. Nonetheless interesting and fun

(Translated by Google) The entrance fee is quite high, this can be explained by the high cost. Unfortunately this location is quite small compared to other Sea Life locations. Due to the size, a crowd quickly arises. This can be disruptive and slow down the fun. If I had a choice, this location wouldn't be my choice. It was sad that there was a long line at the cash register and families with children had to queue outside in the rain. A roof would be attached here, which protects the guests somewhat.

(Translated by Google) Here you learn a lot about marine life. Every time I am enthusiastic about the exhibition, but I also have to say that I want to study marine biology. Among other things, the staff is very child-friendly and answers all questions, there is a petting pool and many viewing pools, but the most famous is the underwater tunnel. Fortunately, I have already won an annual pass, which has been used very often. It really paid off.

Approximately an hour from residence. Easy to find with GPS, parking was immediately adjacent. Aquarium was under covid-19 rules and thus visitors were sparse. Easy movement through facility, no bunching up. Some "hands on" experiences were suspended (hand sanitizer and sea-life do not go well together) but the remainder of the aquarium had good displays, dual language signs, I THINK that I saw qrc codes, and stamp stations for the kids. Made it through aquarium slowly and easily with 2.5 and 4 year old kids. Took about an hour total. Big, wide stroller was an OK idea and fit everywhere with little effort. Staff was attentive to visitors and offered information when asked. Was a little expensive for the hour we spent there (€45?), but the kids enjoyed it and that was the point of going.
