Nine fabulous Johannes Schreiter stained glass windows, worth an intercontinental trip!

Church that went through several styles throughout all the renovations until the mid-19th century. Memorial stones in the church and gravestones from a cemetery that used to exist around the church. There are more graves. The church is the oldest registered church in Heidelberg, not far from Faulenz Pelz (Zwinger) and opposite the university library

Located at the heart of the Old Town near the Universität Bibliothek, it is a wonderful church.

It was closed but it is really nice place but I did not like something, there was dirty and it is not good for historical figures

It was a very nice concert with the ESG choir. Beautiful voices, well conducted with a lot of dynamics and joy in singing.

Worth a look inside for the incredibly ornate detailing and high ceilings

The Heidelberg University Church is beautifully built and is just one of many places of worship in the city. Students can find refuge here for selected university services, e.g. the memorial service for the school shooting on January 24, 2022

Sunday service, 10.00 clock. Impressive building, kind congregation.

Cathedral is more beautiful outside than in. Climb up tower is worth the view.

Unfortunately we could only see it from the outside and I think it's a shame that it isn't open to visitors for at least 2-3 hours on Saturdays. Building itself is beautiful and stately

It looks interesting but i did not actually get there due to road works and diversions sending us the wrong way.

A church worth seeing, in which Johannes Schreiter's modern window cycle fits in very well. Here you can find the historical mixed with the modern in an impressive way. Plus the numerous tombs of scholars throughout the entire history of the university! A must for art lovers!

The church is very attractive as a concert hall for the big band "Big Bang", also because the friendly sexton heated the church.

A historic place if you go to visit it should do it with guide, because have a lot of interest historic aspects that worth to know.

Dropped inside here to rest my feet, and a nice german man invited me to see a Bach's concert that evening. Looks like there's a lively community here.
