Great place next to the river - amazing place to chill out with family, friends or even alone. Perfect view of the Heidelberg old town!

Even though there are some comments annoyed by these little dinasours, I love how chill this place is. Geese are so cute anyways. They can be my guests stealing my food. Grab a beer and enjoy the moment.

Die Neckarwiese gehört zu den beliebtesten Plätzen in Heidelberg. Man kann sich im Sommer dort gut erholen und die Umgebung genießen. Es gibt auch mehrere Spielplätze, Cafés, Volleyballplätze, Tischtennisplatten etc. auf der Neckarwiese.

Wide green spaces on the Neckar Revier sides. A lot of sport options to choose from. Public toilets, cafe and some snack bars are in the area. 2 playing grounds for children off all ages. Geese are always walking around. Some areas are open for grilling as well. Parking is only allowed in a Parkhaus located under the bridge.

Amazing, peaceful and cozy spot, But beware of the Geese! They own the park and they’ll walk right up to you and try to steal your food, theyre not afraid of people at all!

Amazing place to spend your free time. With friends or alone. Actively or passively. You can grill in the designated areas or play beach volleyball on one of the many playgrounds. Flighing a kite? Windsurfing? Canoeing? All possible here. Amazing view on the city and the castle in the distance. And the omnipresent ducks, which became the symbol of the Neckarwiese and serve as nice distraction from your everyday troubles.

I like going there on a sunny day just to enjoy the views and the greenery. Most of the time, you'll find food kiosks from which you get delicious crepes, beers etc.. the area is not very crowded during the week but on friday and saturday afternoons, you barely find a quiet place to sit and relax.

The lake is very beautiful and beautiful. It is 6 am. There is nothing but me and the ducks. It is amazing that you are calm and people are asleep.

Enjoyed great views of Neckarwiese from the Theodor-Huess Brücke during a short visit to Heidelberg in mid-February 2023. Beautiful waterfront greenspace to enjoy the Neckar River.

Great place to picnic, play, spend time with friends and family. Skate park, beach volleyball, lawn games, kids play area; restrooms close by. Nice view of the Königstuhl.

It was very nice to walk along the river Nectar, which will lead you to the old town.

Wonderful and fun. I visited it with my family. My daughter found a great playground. I and my wife saw a beautiful view around the park.

Sehr schöne Wiese am Heidelberger Neckarufer mit riesen Spielplatz/Wasserspielplatz. Reichlich Bänke und Toilertten vorhanden. Leider sind auf der Grünfläche sehr viele Hundehaufen zu finden....daher 2 Sterne weniger.

Very good very good value for money too. Stayed in April 2023 for two nights and staying in September 2023 for four nights. Great view facing the River Rhine.

Best spot to spend a sunny day. Bring your friends, a few drinks/snacks, and a few different games. Good time guaranteed. :)

Beautiful place over the Neckar river's banks, especially in the Heidelberg area.

Used to love sitting here on summer days, until those bloody geese came to reside in Heidelberg. Now you can't find a spot to sit on without sitting on geese feces or being annoyed for food. Not sure what local government can do about but its a shame, I don't go at all anymore.

The best way to spend your time in Heidelberg is to chill out by the Neckar. Also very good for long and rejuvenating walks. Very scenic and picturesque. People are very friendly too.

Good place during the summer or when it's sunny. A lot of ducks who have their right of way. But are nice and dont usually harm the people sitting there. A cute place to sit and have a picnic or study. Usually gets very crowded but can always find a spot. Dont forget to bring a picnic blanket if you wish to sit down.

Place to walk, it's calm. You will see some ducks. And you can feel the river flow. Visit the bridge in the evening and take some deep breath.

Nice lawn park with child’s playground, and you can find lots of Egyptian gooses here in the early morning at least in may.

Public open ground with greenery and river view. Small parks and sand box area for beach volleyball available. Cycling track available as well

One of the best parks I've ever walked in! Lots of wildlife (there are friendly geese everywhere and even a water vole!), people enjoying the weather, kids playing, students reading, and boats passing by in the river. Just lovely 🌹

Great place to be. For me it was a short visit to Heidelberg and we parked the car just at the end of this park in a parking lot than walked through it to reach the old bridge. The view over the Neckar and the castle and the old town on the other side of the river is simply marvelous. A beautiful peaceful place.
