great views of Heidelberg. The walk up is a bit challenging but the views are worth it.

Well, many beautiful views can be seen when reaching the garden at the top, walking through philosophenweg. Stay put, sit at the corner, one of the many benches, or get any place, and enjoy the view, relax a bit, have some deep conversations, or just be in the serenity of the moments. Definitely worth a hike/walk/ride. Thought there are a couple of ways coming down the way to the city. On the way to the garden, you will se the physics department of the university, physics library, some modern villas and many benches. Preferred visiting time: around Sunset.

It is a beautiful place with an incredible castle view in front of you along side necker river. The thing you should keep in mind is that it is a hilltop area and you need to carry a water bottle with you. You can also rent a bicycle to explore this place.

Amazing place to sit and have wonderful view of castle and river and the City rooftops. A place where you can recite Jaun Elia with a view!!!

Lovely place. Entire Heidelberg can be seen from this point. It is more beautiful at night, especially the Palace looks stunning. Good place for cycling as well.

Beautiful place to enjoy awesome views of the city and hang out when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, this place is now overrun with "Zugezogenen" that can be incredibly loud and annoying when there's good weather so, I'll stick with the even more beautiful spots that only real locals would know about.

Great place to relax and take in the view of Heidelberg Castle. There's a path leading up to here with a stairway down to the bridge that leads you into Hiedelberg, so you can walk the loop in 45-60 minutes.

Beautiful view! It's a great place to take in the beauty of Heidelberg from above. The Schlangenweg/Snake Path is a great way to get up. But watch out, it's a breather! Once you get to the top (Philesophenweg), it's smooth sailing. Go to the right to hike into the forest, or to the left to go towards the Philosopher's Garten. There is a playground on the way and an ice cream kiosk for refreshment.

ez hike up and down and good unobstructed views of the castle and historic old city. Plus flowers for those who like flora and fauna.

Good view of city and castle, but not much to place other wise. You may walk up here if you don't have much to do or if you want some exercise. There is some history associated with the place. There are not any historical things to see though.

One of the highest places in Heidelberg with enchanting view ⛰ were you can see the whole city from above besides you can set for relaxing and see the beautiful sunset🌅 You must visit. You will pass through a narrow road to reach the top. Prepare your water and some snacks and good 👞
