(Translated by Google) In connection with the manor house a little higher, it is a free and interesting place to stay to get a little insight into the past of the beautiful Palatinate. Please keep the places clean so others can enjoy them too, thank you.

(Translated by Google) Very well restored. The Romans already knew where the beautiful places are. (Original) Sehr gut restauriert.

Amazing to stand upon the site where the Romans made wine. Not a difficult walk to the site, but it is inaccessible by car. A beautiful view awaits you. From here you overlook all the vineyards from atop a tree covered hill that holds the ruins.

Easily accessible on foot from Bad Dürkheim (free parking at Wurstmarktplatz) via Michaelskapelle, signposted (a little over 2km, Villa Rustica) Tip: Check social media for hospitality ("Wein auf der Römerkelter"). Then there will be a gastro stand, drinks bar and toilet house... and the view will be even nicer 😉

This is a partially restored ruin of an ancient Roman winepress. It is enclosed but fully visible through glass panels, with signs to read inside and artifacts to look at. Many people posted pictures of the villa and winery ruin on this location, and while they are very close and I'm sure part of the same establishment back then, this is a freestanding structure about 100-200 meters away from the villa itself. Please see my review on the Villa Rustica Weilberg for a much more detailed review on the experience. The photos I post on each are only of the actual site they are being posted under. Absolutely take the time to walk here while visiting the villa as it is very interesting to look at and only a quick stop to add on to your trip.

(Translated by Google) Worth seeing and great location. Yes, the Romans already knew where it was beautiful. Boards explain the places and rooms. Sometimes there are events with demonstrations. The ways to get there are great between the vineyards (Original) Sehenswert und tolle Lage.

(Translated by Google) Rather old hat. Well located, the Romans knew where to build. Plant still in progress. No on-site tasting. (Original) Eher der alte Hut. Gut gelegen, die Römer wussten wo man bauen muss. Anlage noch in Arbeit. Keine Verköstigung Vorort.

👍 We came here today at the end of a long day exploring Bad Durkheim and didn't end up actually going in the salinen but did walk all the way around it, then enjoyed the water playground with our kids. There are a few beer gardens and bistros and restaurants right there I would have loved to stop had...

👍👍 Amazing site of physical history. Google maps will try to take you there but it will miss the small trail entrance just north of the hospital building. Follow the trail upwards, maps has an accurate pathing for trails but essentially just reach the hill top through several switch back trails

👍👍 I was confused about what this was exactly based on the Google Maps location information and reviews; I figured it was a ruin of a Roman villa and winery, but there were opening hours and a type of building that most ruins don’t have. Indeed, it is “JUST” a ruined Roman villa and winery, though ther...

👍👍 Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but inside the museum in particular offers a great world about the flora and fauna of the Palatinate and also worldwide.
