Great location, and the staff is friendly and tries very hard to make up for the dated facilities. This hotel just needs some updating and some TLC. The beds were comfortable, but the sitting room furniture was uncomfortable, overall a good place to stay.

🥐Open Buffet Breakfast experience: Prepare for a culinary rollercoaster, or should I say, a rollercoaster of horrors! This hotel's breakfast buffet is a comedy show you won't forget. The scrambled eggs were an enigma, simultaneously overcooked and undercooked – a true breakfast conundrum. The bacon resembled rubber more than anything edible. Fresh fruit? Not so fresh. The apples were wrinkled, bananas were borderline radioactive, and the oranges were more bitter than a failed stand-up routine. The coffee? I suspect they brewed it in a gym sock. Even sugar couldn't rescue it. In conclusion, if you're up for a laugh (and a cringe), venture into this buffet's culinary horror show. One star for the unforgettable experience. Enter if you dare! ☕😱

Disaster. Overpriced for 150€/night, worth 30€ max incl. breakfast. Rooms very old, dusty carpet, smell in the room. Dust around phone and room corners. Broken hose in the shower, old equipped also here. No drinking water provided, no glasses. Many issues at reception - had to repeat same thing several times, paid for parking but couldn’t get the receipt. The parking ticket didn’t work at the exit despite promises that it will at reception. Most of the information promised/said at reception was untrue. Very disappointed for the lost time here. The only positives are location and average (still absolutely not worth charged 21€) breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 nights. This place is grand. Checking in is not until 3PM. We checked just before than. Very nice and helpful person at the desk. Our TV didn't work, so we got moved to another room, no problem. The hotel got its own swimming pool, which I used as often as I could. Breakfast is very nice and plentiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. I forgot my mask on the first morning and one of the member of staff provided me with a mask, so I didn't have to go back to our room. Thank you very much for that!! It only takes you a few minutes from the hotel to hit town. Just around the corner from the hotel is a tram stop. Number 4 or 4a will take you into Ludwigshafen. Would I stay here again?: Definitely!!

Let‘s put things into perspective. Has the interior seen better days and is not up to par with the usual maritim chain standards, yeah I think you could say so. But my room was fine. The bathroom had the most signs of "wear/age" but everything worked and was clean. The way other reviewers here portray it as a total disaster is totally uncalled for imho. The breakfast buffet and especially the breadth and quality of fruits, cereal, rolls/bread were only surpassed by the genuinely attentive and friendly service of the staff. As I‘ve understood the very place will either get a complete overhaul or even broken down. My stay was perfectly acceptable and the hearsay horror stories are unjustified if you ask me.

Place is too old and needs a serious renovation. My room and the whole floor was extremely warm. Had to leave the window opened at night. Breakfast was quite nice but staff at the breakfast room was impolite. The whole experience was pretty poor. View from the room was nice but the balcony was so dirty that you couldn't stay there.

Excellent location across from the main square with lovely restaurants nearby and an easy walk to the main train station. Rooms were very dated and the air conditioner did not work. No one to fix it as technicians don’t work Sunday and no one bothered the next day. The request was ignored or forgotten about. Breakfast was good and staff in restaurant friendly. Rooms were big with high ceiling and bed was comfortable. I would suggest a different option for a hotel.

Very dirty room making me and my child sick and nor able to sleep due to all the dust. Added a picture from all the dust on the wall. The staff said management would contact me and ger back to me but they nevwe did. If tou arw thinking to book a room here, don't!! I advice you to go somewhere else. Rhe location is great but thats it. The Breakfast was mediocre and not worth the extra money. There is no pool as pictures suggest online, posters or the book in the room wirh hotel instructions. I suggest you if you read this not to go here for your own health.

Pretty good. The food was great, the service went beyond what is expected, the staff was kind. The greatest disappointment was the lack of swimming pool, it was broken, but the placement of the hotel was excellent. Would recommend and I am recommending it anyway !

I was given a room on the 6th floor. You could take an elevator to the 5th. It then had to walk up a flight of stairs with all of your luggage. The room stank of cigarettes and was filthy. The bathroom was tiny. No coffee pot or coffee in the room although I believe they advertised one. There was air conditioning and it was super hot out so I was so happy although even on the coldest setting it was still stuffy and hot. I pre paid for two nights on Priceline but left after one and did not receive a refund. It was horrible. The exterior is gorgeous and location was great, so there was that.

Even not very good room conditions, location of the hotel and historical views are the positive sides. There is no bar in the rooms and only one bottle water included 😎

Old fashion hotel which would need entire refurbishment. Bed is good, at least good nights. Seminar room with air conditioning too strong which one couldn't switch off, not environmental friendly. Nice service but lack of flexibility

Stayed 2 days here I especially like their breakfast spread! The staffs during breakfast were so friendly especially a lady named Melba who was very helpful as I was new in town The room was big n spacious, they have a coffee machine downstairs if you need coffee maybe at night, this you can take it to go, the room has a balcony but our room looks out to a boring building so nothing much to shout about 😂 Convenience wise it's close to the tram station, many restaurants n shops nearby ,also the Banhof is like 5 minutes walk away

Big room, perfect for families. Friendly a& helpful staff. Public parking in front of the hotel. Perfect location downtown, but rooms are quiet. There is restaurant & they have shows sometimes. Lots of restaurants, bakeries &coffee shops around, Starbucks on the corner of the street (They speak English there). Friendly city, people tried to help even though we don't speak German.

We loved the Hotel, location, service and atmosphere. But the air conditioning didn't seem to work so well which made it hot in our room at times and difficult to sleep. We had to leave most of the windows open to get cool air into the room. We left the windows shut for 5 hours and noticed that the room wasn't cooling. Just couldn't handle the heat. At that time it was approximately 27* C in the room

Everything was fine. Just not the ‘wow’ the online pictures suggested. We came for the pool. It was acceptable but not the glorious pool the online photos showed.

Lovely old hotel with a great cooked breakfast just down the road from the station, near the tramlines and opposite the water tower. I always aim for the Maritim when visiting Mannheim.

The hotel has seen better days. I'm sure 40 years ago this hotel was very classy and expensive but now it's just a shell of its former glory. I could only describe the room as like the ones in horror movies. The room That we were in looks really dated and the pillow, duvet, and towels smelt like it wasn't changed from the previous occupant of the room. There was a piece of nut on the floor that was I think eaten by the previous occupant. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and water stain. The bathroom was small and the toilet doesn't flush well, there was also black mold on the tiles of the shower area. It was horrible. To be honest, just remembering all this makes me feel itchy. The pool was not functional, there was technical problems they said. The receptionist was great, the cancellation of the remaining days we were supposed to stay was fast and they helped alot. The breakfast was good with wide varieties of things to choose from.
