Pension Arabella

Hotel Indoor lodging Boarding house

😠 Unfortunately there are no zero stars here. So first of all, who or what can call themselves a pension in Germany? So I had a room with a sink where the water stayed cold because the boiler socket was broken, the toilet was in the hallway and there was a shared shower🤔, all for 36 €😕 for one night... People often mention guesthouse, booked, rooms,

Every hostel is better.👍😁 But tastes are different. 😎

Impudence! I booked with the guesthouse last week and even called them to let them know again. When we got there yesterday the door was locked and despite ringing the bell several times, no one opened it for us! When we called the guesthouse on site we were pushed away several times! I recommend not booking there but looking for another hotel!

1 out of 5 possible stars is given for the location of the guesthouse. It couldn't be more central. But that's all there is to say about this guesthouse as positive. This is by far the most miserable accommodation I have booked in 30 years. The staff cannot be reached by phone or in person. The reception was extremely unfriendly and the booked overnight price of €28 suddenly became €35 per night upon arrival. For the 8 days I booked, that's an additional €56. With 3 suitcases to the 3rd floor, without elevator. The mattress was pure horror, as were the nights. Sleeping is more comfortable in every hammock! Apart from that, the whole bed squeaks every time you turn it around. The shower in the hallway could only be used cold, as it was almost permanently occupied and heated up with an electric boiler. The walls are extremely noisy and you can hear every cough from your neighbor. CONCLUSION: NEVER AGAIN!

I had booked a room four months in advance because I had to go to Mannheim for a conference and knew early on that cheap rooms would quickly be fully booked. At first we received an incredibly rude welcome because the lady had to wait for us because our train was unfortunately delayed, then it turned out that my booking (for which I had a confirmation and everything) had been canceled on the grounds that I had I didn't get in touch anymore. It was true that I didn't contact you until the day of arrival to give you our arrival time, but I had never heard of the fact that you have to contact a hotel/pension again after the booking has been confirmed. Because if the guest doesn't show up, the room will be charged to him one way or another. So in conclusion, even if it's inexpensive, avoid this guesthouse because in the worst case scenario, like me, you'll suddenly find yourself on the street despite booking early.

(Translated by Google) That's the most shameful, filthiest and disgusting thing I've ever seen. There is not even a private shower, let alone a private toilet. (Original) Das ist das schämigste, dreckigste und ekelhafste, was ich je gesehen habe. Es gibt nicht mal mehr eine eigene Dusche ganz zu schweigen von einer eigenen Toilette.

Very slowly. The price is really great, the rooms are clean, it's free, the location is right in the city so it's a top location if you spend a lot of money you also get a luxury so if you're too stingy and only want to pay €28 then please don't complain. Typically proletariat don't want to pay anything to live at home in Asia or don't have an apartment. Then you get a fair offer and you tear yourself through the months

(Translated by Google) We spent a weekend in Mannheim. We were very satisfied. Right in the center, you can reach everything on foot. Very friendly reception with nice conversation! Rooms are simple but clean - value for money is right here. We'd love to come back!

I cannot recommend this accommodation with the best will in the world. At first they have rooms available, then two hours later they no longer have rooms, even though everything had already been clarified over the phone. The reason was that the boss had not sent me a written order confirmation. That's not how you treat customers. Of course the boss was not available. Apparently they got a better request. Willingness to help = 0 Despite local knowledge, they didn't want to help me.

My conclusion about the Pension Arabella in Mannheim: I was at the guesthouse with my wife over the weekend. The hallway had a strong smell of mold, but thankfully this wasn't found in the rooms. It is relatively clean, the operator has worked on it. There is a toilet and a shower on each floor. The condition of the bathroom on our floor was fine, there was nothing to complain about in terms of hygiene. Unfortunately the noise level is very loud on weekends, which was the biggest drawback. I can't say what it will look like within the week. Opposite the guesthouse there is an underground car park where people met at night and chatted loudly. On the whole you can say that it is sufficient for a place to stay if you are out and about during the day. But it would be inadequate for a longer stay.

The guesthouse is located in the middle of Mannheim, there are many shopping opportunities and restaurants nearby. Even at short notice, I always got a room that was very affordable for this location. I can recommend the guesthouse, everything has always been very uncomplicated so far and I have been a guest there several times. The rooms are quite simply furnished, but are always clean and there is also a washing facility. I will definitely visit more often due to my work.
