Nice hotel in the centre if touristic area. Within walking distance everywhere. Amazingly quiet as for a rooms above the pub. Pretty views from window. Room was cosy & nicely equipped. Comfy bed. I actually appreciated having coffee in bed (kettle & coffee available in room). Big plus is decent Irish food & drink in the pub under. As a guest you get a discount in pub. Atmosphere makes you feel you’re back in Ireland. Nice selection of breakfast options within few minute walk.

Went there for karaoke last saturday, my friends and I were ~10th in line. Unfortunately the line did not matter, since the host sung herself all the time (she sang like 3 songs after every song sung by guests) and the „dj“ just randomly chose who gets to sing. Also the sound quality was catastrophic. Service was slowish but it was packed to be fair and they were really nice. EDIT: had to change my review to a one-star. Not a single one of my group got to sing that night so i really don‘t know what point you‘re trying to make with your reply.

Very sad about the Karaoke experience on 15.09.23. The pub and also the staff is great. But unfortunately, the DJ Duo and thus the Karaoke was pretty bad. For the Karaoke you had to register and que for your song via QR code. Que time was long - up to 2 hours, but in the end the DJ-duo sang most of the songs themselves (and sent the people that queued for that song away?!?)… Also, the skillset of the dj was sadly pretty low. Sad that a good bar is downgraded and loses guests caused by such behaviour.

Was stood at the bar for over 10 minutes. The bar staff did look up at us 5/6 times and still ignored us even tho he could see money in our hands. It took one girl who was sat at the bar to get the bar staffs attention and even then they didn’t serve us for another 5 minutes. All we wanted was one quick pint and then to move on. The bar was not overly busy, they seemed preoccupied with everything else but the customers at the bar. More American stuff in the bar than Irish

Very typical Irish pub, they serve Irish plates and beers. The food is not exceptional but the atmosphere is good. Rugby and football matches can also be seen. Only thing that tainted my experience was to see kids (14-16 yo) which were allowed to drink beer and vodka right next table

Waited almost an hour for food and the meal wasn't worth eating. Chips not cooked, toast was just hard white bread. There are some great places to eat in heidelberg. Just not here. At add some further detail as requested. 09.09.2023 we arrived at 12 noon along with a few other tables. Orders were taken by a friendly waitress. Then we waited, and waited. Other tables started to complain after about 30 minutes. Still no food appeared. We waited. After about 1 hour of waiting food started to appear from the kitchen. I ordered a chicken club sandwich. The chips were not cooked and the bread was white and hard rather than toasted. Other tables also complained about the quality of the food when it arrived. What a disappointment 😞

I didn’t stay at the hotel but I ate here. Actually, I came here a few times for drinks and stuff. All right, so this is just a regular Irish bar so I don’t even know why I came here but I was forced to basically. This isn’t really my first choice or even my 20th choice. But the food was all right. I got the fish and chips and it wasn’t bad. The fish was starting to turn. My coworker ordered some of that appetizer basket with a bunch of deep fried food. Things like spring roll, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and calamari all fried stuff. He got severely sick and the only thing he ate was the calamari. Also, just from looking at the deep fried foods, they all looked extremely burnt.

Talking for the "hotel" Sorry, but this is not a hotel. Just a sleeping room, where you need to walk through the storage area of the restaurant. And check-in is not possible before the restaurant opens. Location : 5 Service: 2 Room: 2

Went in to eat and unfortunately had some hair on the food, which i had tocsend back. Ordered a glass of water while we waited (which came from the tap) and was charged €5 for it. No acknowledgement of the mess up with thenfood. Staff were friendly though but would still give this place a miss.

The hotel has a great location - right in the heart of the old town. We had to climb around 40 stairs to reach our room (no elevator is available). The room was a bit worn out but everything one may need was available. The bed was extremely soft. The shampoos were very tiny packages. In case you need more, there is a supermarket very close nearby.

Stopped here to watch crystal palace play and despite our result really enjoyed the pub. Seems like your typical Irish bar but has a great vibe and atmosphere especially for football games. Good range of beers and drinks to chose from My partner and I enjoyed the steak sandwich which is quite good considering where you are

We went with a big group of friends and had a great time. Kitchen closes at 22:00 sometimes it's important to know. The place looks really good, like most Irish pubs. And beer is ultimately great too. They have the Heidelberger sort, which we all wanted to try out. Also, service is great. The bartender is very kind.

It has been a while since I have been in an Irish pub in Dublin. I very much miss the experience and atmosphere. Spending an evening here was like travelling 1.500 Kilometers back to Ireland and it felt amazing. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking to have a fun relaxed evening and to anyone who would like to indulge in an Irish experience. I had a blackcurrent cider and Guinness throughout the evening which were both amazing, the chicken salad I had was also prepared with exquisite care. I had the pleasure of being served by an Irish waitress that evening who kindly gave suggestions and her own experiences with different options on the menu. The allergy card was very helpful, here however it is important to note that not everything on the allergy menu is still available so it should be compared to the new menu before ordering.

Went cos I needed a wee and was craving a cider (not been back to uk in 2 years.. saw they did a full Irish breakfast and thought why not. Ordered with low expectations (as most places out of the uk can’t get it right) and it was actually very good! Bacon was super good and also the sausages too! Would go again for sure 👍

I booked a table for two for dinner last week. We were cheated with a table, providing 2 seats at the counter near the toilet in the dirtiest corner. Needless to say, we left it. Arrogant staff. Bad service. Dirty tables. Not recommended.

We were there just for drinks. Good varieties of Ale, pils, also good food and snacks available. We also enjoyed the Epl game at the time. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Located in the center main walking ally..is pretty easy to find. The hotel is above the bar, is acxesible via stairs up.

Needed a pint and a sit down after climbing up to the castle and back, then traipsing up and down this beautoful city allllll day. Wasn't ready for food, so the Irish Pub was the destination of choice! Did not disappoint, thoroughly enjoyed the first snakebite I've ever bought in a pub (I'm used to making it in bus shelters as a teenager hahaha). Really nice atmosphere, lovely staff, and great Irish-themed decor. Yes!

The Dubliner will forever and always have a special place in my heart. From the servers - Insa, Simon, Arthur, Julia, and Maria - to the bar tenders - Jer and Alex - and the owner - Tessa, the staff make this place so special. Quiz nights and Karaoke nights are the best times to go and have an amazing night, not to mention 2 for 1 shots on Thurs-Sat. The food is great and the vibe is immaculate. I look forward to visiting The Dubliner again soon and would suggest it to anyone in Heidelberg!

Highly recommend for a great evening. Service is friendly and attentive. The drinks are prepared well and the music just takes the entire atmosphere to another level. You can see people enjoying and sometimes dancing on the beats. The place was full when we visited, but we did manage to grab a table. Very nice experience.

Irish pub is my go to place in Heidelberg. They have a good variety of beer. My personal favorite is Guinness with blackcurrant. They also have other flavours of beer to try along with the classic Guinness. They also have a wide variety of cocktails as well. They have a good variety of snacks especially for a vegetarian, snack basket is a very good option. I've tried their burger as well which was quite decent. The only problem is, kitchen closes at 9pm and after that there is nothing much for snacks. The place is opened till 1-2am in the night. They usually have games playing on different screens which make the atmosphere exciting as the fans have loud reactions. Service is usually good, some people there are really nice adn friendly to the customers and some are not so much but nothing to complain. I definitely recommend this place for beer lovers. 🍻

Great Lively Pub. Some really good food and some great Guiness. Best place in heidelberg to watch sport. Especially Rugby. Good atmosphere.

Pub is nice place, atmosphere etc. but it can happen that your watching a Bundesliga match and in second half they come to tell you that they cant continue that program (as they did today) while the TVs with the British football continue playing. Schade Dubliner's but that needs to be menshioned that you send off the people like that!

Ideally I would never rate a cafe or a bar 2 stars , but this is an exception. As a new customer you'll not be attended optimally. That's how we felt .

Didn't stay overnight. Had some super Irish food. Wanted to go there again, unfortunately kitchen closed on that day. Super place to watch gaelic sports or just have a good drink.

A hotel owned by the Irish Bar. It's a bit of an old building. The rooms are small, the bed is uncomfortable. There wasn't even water in the room. You don't get what you pay for the 107 Euros. We chose it because there was no vacancy in other hotels. I will never stay there again.

Service was amazing, great vibe. Horrible food 😢 they had nothing Irish but Fish and chips and the fish was burnt outside and soggy inside. Other meals tasted like nothing.

We ate excellent food, received fantastic service, and had a wonderful time here. Be sure to include this place on your visit to this town. They have daily food and drink specials. Plus they have a hotel above the bar/restaurant! Win-win!

Dubliner has a great location and even better seating options. You can sit right outside beside the streets, or you can sit inside and watch a football match or you could even sit in the quiet open courtyard inside. Food wasn't so great, most of it lacked salt or spice, some even greasy. The beer was good and very friendly staff too.

So, the hotel get 3 stars the bar gets 5. My life partner Julie, great friend Yvette loved the location but hated the fact you cannot check in or check your bags in until 1700. Room are what they are, lil loud and smoke comes in the windows at night but that’s ok.

Perfect place to be in Heidelberg. Directly in the beautiful center, tasty food and drinks, friendly service, nice prices - but don't forget to reserve a table at the weekends. The rooms are fine, you got everything you'll need and it's clean. Also with tea and coffee, and it's really quiet! Absolutely recommended and I would come again immediately.

Went for a meal, nice variety of both food and drinks. We we're seated at the back of the restaurant. Ensure that you are not in a rush as service can be slow.

Great food. Great beer. Fun times. They show American football and it was full even on a Sunday evening. We waited 10 mins for a seat but the waitress was super friendly. Guiness is the best but do not try Blackcurrent Guiness. Menu is in English and German.

Great little Irish pub in the middle of Heidelberg action . Staff was friendly. Sports games are played on TV. We stopped for a beer on a Friday eve . Lots of people and a friendly atmosphere.

This place could be more Irish, otherwise ok. Beer is good, didn't try the food. Staff is friendly. Pretty international crowd there which I loved. I'd go there again, when back in Heidelberg.

As Irish pubs abroad go this is reasonably good. We enjoyed a few beers while the football was on & service was good & servers friendly. We didn't order food but watched others eating what appeared to be good burgers. It's a friendly pub & busy at times but worth a visit.
