From the outside this place doesn’t look like much but the interior is welcoming, neat and modern The place is not very big so definitely make a reservation (the offer food to go too!) The food was very good! Dishes come with rice unless you order something with noodles, and the portions are vast Probably the fanciest Thai restaurant in Heidelberg so, high end price wise UPDATE: the portions I had last time are way smaller which for a person who doesn’t eat a lot means you can be ok but the rest will not be satisfied, breaks my heart to deduct one star for this reason

Very nice Thai food in a proper environment and excellent service. If you like Thai food I strongly recommend to visit Bay Jok if you are in Heidelberg!

Visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening and was positively surprised by my experience. The food was incredibly tasty and came very fast. The team who took care of us was very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and definitely recommend it!

I never expected to rate this restaurant with just one star due to its service. I've been a loyal patron for three years, but I'm disheartened to witness a decline in its standards. Today, I phoned in to order my usual items, and the male waiter's arrogance was shocking. He yelled, "Are you done ordering?" in a disgusted tone, even though I had four items to request, and he forgot them after placing me on hold. It's sad that the service from this individual has ruined the otherwise excellent food.

Had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. I would suggest improving the drinks a bit. Most of my drinks were ice cubes 😛.

One of the best restaurants in Heidelberg with delicious food, but doesn’t quite fully resemble authentic Thai food… I would say it’s more of a thai fusion. Everything was of high quality, but dishes are not nearly as spicy as I would have expected for a Thai restaurant. When considering this I would say the restaurant still has delicious food and good vibes. It’s always crowded so be sure to have a reservation!

We went spontaneously into the restaurant today at around 6.40pm and asked the service girl if they have Thai chef because I would like to eat in Thai restaurant only if they have thai chef as they know how to cook Authentic Thai cuisine and she replied me that yes, the chef is Thai and he did Ausbildung in Thailand or something. I was like why Thai need to do Ausbildung for cooking Thai food? But anyway we agreed to give it a try. She informed us we can only eat like 40mins as they are fully book at 8pm and we agreed on that. Then we sat down, order the food with a service guy who isn’t Thai and he’s a bit rude. We ordered Noodle soup with duck and with beef and papaya salad. Noodle soup was ok, nothing like Thai except noodle but papaya salad was disaster. It wasn’t Thai way at all!!!! Nothing in the restaurant is Thai especially hospitality, nothing like Thai food and zero Thai atmosphere except a Buddha statue who sits at the entrance of the restaurant. We won’t take anyone there, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. And we left at around 7.50pm and the restaurant was half empty and we have no idea why the staff said it’s fully book. Btw I’m Thai and I know well about Authentic Thai food.

So it's not a bad restaurant to eat at, but you can get cheaper Thai food elsewhere. The taste of the food was authentic spice included, the location was nice but a bit small. I had the papaya salad also know as som yum. And a spiced chicken. My wife ordered spiced beef. The taste was good the food came out fast, just a bit pricey I would say.

SEHR LECKER! Amazing red curries!!! This place is very authentic and it hugs you with the delicious coconutty smell as soon as you enter to the restaurant. I always ate red curry chicken HOT. I loved it every time. It was so amazing so I could not order anything else every time I went there. It is a good place to go with your family and friends. Prices are a bit higher but you get the proper service and fine dineish environment there. Locations is super close to tram stop and there is a parking lot nearby. After COVID they start to do take outs. This place is always packed so make sure that you have a reservation before you go there. I will always remember and cherish this place.

Great food and deserves the hype it gets on Google ratings. We really liked it. It appears that you really need a reservation there because when we walked in all of the tables had names on them, but we were able to eat quickly there without a reservation, but the lady that sat us down told us they would need the table by 7 pm. So make a reservation if you can. I had the green curry and it was great!

I have been to the restaurant 4 times. The first 2 times, I was fascinated by the food, the atmosphere and the ambiance. Nevertheless, the following 2 times, my food was a bit disappointing (Tried different plates every time). Hence, It is a bit difficult to rate it. However, the ambiance is great and some dishes delicious. I would definitely recommend the king prawns and to try the special dishes recommended by the chef. Last, but not least the restaurant is a bit pricey.

so let’s start with appetizers: They are those common chicken skewers and rice spring rolls with typical sauce. Would commend for its Peanut sauce at least. The Main; Pad Thai: So I ordered this one with Shrimp as to check if they do the same as what authentic Thai peeps do. Comparable to Authentic one, this one is ok but lacks of a bit taste. I wouldn’t say its bad but somehow, I have the feeling that they toned down the taste to cater for german palate. Which is, I find it not so authentic. But don’t get me wrong, It is still ok. I commend those big protions of Shrimp at the top. Those are kinda on top class quality. Drink; Thai Icetea: For this one, Its very Good 👍 Overall for this Restaurant, I will give it a 4 star for its close to authentic Thai dishes they offer. But if they want to really be an “ Authentic Thai Restaurant”, I would suggest to stick to Original Thai Recipe and never tone down the Taste. Even so, for sure Germans would still eat here.

We loved the food, but the prices were a bit too much. We paid almost 70 euros for 2 entrees, one appetizer, and a few drinks. However, the taste was good and everything was cooked perfectly. I also appreciate how they are environmentally conscious.

It is hard to get a table at the restaurant, and the portions are small, but the focus is on quality ingredients. I went to check it out and see what the hype was about.

Love the ice tee with milk here. There are quite a few vegetarian options. Decent Thai food, and cozy dining experience. Make a reservation before going.

Great Thai food, fresh and light as it should be. Not nearly as spicy as most Thai restaurants, but that was easily adjusted with the delicious chillies. Mixed entree platter is highly recommended. Atmosphere is light and friendly, with sufficient space between the tables. Decent pricing. If we lived in Heidelberg, we would return often!

Tried Ginger Beer, Pad Thai, Spring Roll and the dessert was the cherry top!

I will give a helpful tip. I understand a busy restaurant. But upon arrival we were met with “do you have a reservation” which seems common in Germany. Even when the place is half empty. We got placed beside the door, the sun beat on my wife, we got noise from the open windows and flies. We noticed people with dogs and those waiting for takeout got a better seat. You want repeat business. Those who walk in…. Could walk anywhere.

10/10. I have eaten tons of Thai and this was hands down the best I’ve had. The rice is wild rice (healthier, thank you!), and had REAL, tasty vegetables (not frozen). We also got a duck and chicken pad Thai, and the meat was amazing to accompany the noodles. All around, so impressed…and this was takeout! Lastly, they had a packed house and made time for our takeout. Super appreciated as we had a very hungry two year old. Very impressed and fabulous waitstaff!

Delicious food. The papaya salad was a bit too spicy for my taste but still ate it all because it was very yummy 😋 nice environment at the restaurant and friendly staff
