Absolut imposantes Bauwerk!

This place is a historical landmark for Koblenz, it's a must visited place. If you are the person who like to take a walk along the rivers with the very relaxing view, this place is perfect. It’s simply beautiful, just love it!! And it's free! Unless you want to take a cable car to the castle.

On the edge of the Old Town of Coblenz lies the Deutsche Eck – an artificially created spit of land at the confluence triangle of the Rhine and the Mosel. The Deutsche Eck is the landmark of the city of Coblenz. It attracts around 2 million visitors each year to enjoy the wonderful view over the Rhine and the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein. The Deutsche Eck owes its name to a German order of knights which was given a part of the land by Archbishop Theoderich von Wied in the year 1216. After the establishment of the Teutonic Order, the headland was renamed Deutscher Ordt (from Orden=order), and later Deutsches Eck. Since 2002, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. ..... Deutsches Eck ("German Corner") is the name of a promontory in Koblenz, Germany, where the Mosel river joins the Rhine. Named after a local commandry of the Teutonic Order ("Teutonischer Orden"), it became known for a monumental equestrian statue of William I, first German Emperor, erected in 1897 in appreciation of his role in the unification of Germany. One of many Emperor William monuments raised in the Prussian Rhine Province, it was destroyed in World War II and only the plinth was preserved as a memorial. Following German reunification, a replica of the statue was erected on the pedestal after controversial discussions in 1993. It is today a Koblenz monument and a popular tourist attraction.

What a wonderful Historic Scene! The Rhein and the Main River meet at this intersection. People from all over the World converge here for relaxing Tourism. Plus you can stroll along the River front and enjoy shopping in the Old City (Altstadt) a few block inland. Plenty of Restaurants, Cafés, ICE cream shops within walking distance. Come here when in Koblenz.

Came here a shy week after the floods. They're just putting up the booths again, but German efficiency made sure that everything else was present and correct.

It was the best place to walk around in Koblenz. historical place. Lots of cafe on the left side and Altstadt on the right side. Also not so far from the Koblenz hbf. 30 mins walk through the old city. It was amazing.

This is a must visit spot if you are visiting Koblenz. You will be able to see two rivers merging here at the spot. The view to the other sides of the river is amazing. You can also take seilbahn(cable car) from here to go to the top of a fortress

Beautiful view of Mosel river where it joins with the Rhine river. The statue of William I is huge, who is the first German emperor. It was restored after 1945. There is much history associated with this particular location. This location is popular tourist attractions. There are many fortress near by this moment. Ehrenbreitstein Fortress view from this is splendid. The wind blows here heavy always. The city view on the bank of rivers is worth watching. It takes around 20-25 minutes to reach the Koblenz train station by walk. There are many restaurants near city centre while walking from this Deutsches Eck. One can take the boat raids which are worthy.

Please do not visit this town. It really doesn’t worth. This small town, GoogleMaps for public transport didn’t work, no subway of course, the only way was bus, but the schedule really unreliable. Even though I was on time at the bus stop, the bus number 1/11 to the central NEVER came. I had to take another one after waiting for 30+ mins. I managed to get the Hbf platform, the train I wanted to take left in fron of my eyes, even 1 min before the expected (delayed) time! Thank you very much for the bad memories full of unreliability and inconvenience!

Deutsches Eck offers a picturesque view where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. The iconic equestrian statue and nearby cafes enhance the experience. Perfect spot to soak in history and enjoy the scenic beauty. Do take a cable car ride to the Ehrenbreitstein fortress to enjoy the majestic view from top. Tickets cost 15€ for both sides.

Was soll man sagen. Deutsches Eck halt.

We were on a Viking River boat, great way to travel! The Herja was beautiful, food, wine and beers excellent. Too bad I missed a lot of the tours and all of Paris, due to flight delays, luggage lost and sick from the cold A/C - 2 day and nights at JFK Airport. None of this was Vikings fault. They are excellent in Service, Employees and ships.

Beautiful monument in the junction of the rivers Moselle and Rhein. Broad sidewalks allow people to hang around and have a beer at the biergarten. It's worth a visit is the weather is good. You can even book a boat ride in the river to enjoy the landscape.

Koblenz, Despite the fact that it is not a tourist city, it is very pleasant to spend time in it because of the abundance of embankments. The main attraction of the city is the German corner and there is a great cable car 🚠 which offers excellent views of the city.

Deutsches Ecke in Koblenz is a captivating gem where the enchanting confluence of the Rhein and Moselle rivers creates a mesmerizing backdrop. The ambiance exudes a delightful German charm, accentuated by the melodic tunes of an accordion player, adding a touch of romance to the experience. The picturesque setting, combined with the authentic German atmosphere, makes Deutsches Ecke a truly delightful destination.
