Love this place! Super chill atmosphere, food is amazing, the menu has a lot of options without being overwhelming, and staff is friendly and quick! I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so delicious. Everything was cooked just right, especially the soft boiled egg, and the broth was amazing. We also ordered sushi: a Tomo Roll, a Dragon Roll, a Philly Roll, and 2 pieces of Tamago Nigiri. Everything was absolutely fantastic! I particularly like their eel sauce. I asked my server for a recommendation for some sake and she pointed me to the Momokawa sake. It was smooth and delicious, and had a really pleasant honey finish. So glad she suggested it! I highly recommend Sushi Tomo!

Gorgeous quality sushi, friendly service by Kerristy (please forgive spelling errors). The Scallop Heaven roll has uniquely bright flavors, topped with thin lemon slices & house-made ponzu sauce. I loved the subtle sweetness of the Shitake Mushroom roll. But the highlight of my meal was the decadent Salmon Toro sashimi. I will be craving it until I return - which will be soon!

Pretty good sushi spot in the North Hills! There aren't too many good options for Asian food near Ross Park, so this is a good choice! I tried the cold sesame noodles, haru maki, Tomo roll, and tuna roll. When I first tried the cold sesame noodles, I was a little disappointed. The sauce was too runny in my opinion, and it had a sauce that was heavy on the salt/soy sauce. I prefer cold noodles with a sauce that is thicker and similar to tahini. However, as I ate it more, I began enjoying it more! The portion is very fair and the sauce is not bad, either. 3.6/5 Haru maki is very similar to a spring roll. I loved it! It was full of vegetables and had a light sweetness to it. There was a perfect balance of crunchy on the outside and smooth, delicate vegetables on the inside. The sauce it was served with is also excellent (it's quite sweet but I like it that way)! 4.5/5 just because the portion is somewhat small. The Tomo roll is very tasty! The eel on top is not soggy; rather, it is lightly sweet and flavorful. Sauce has a nice sweet flavor. The avocado is also quite fresh. The shrimp tempura on the inside with crunchy and well made all around. It's a bit expensive, but still fair. 4.5/5. This is my first time trying plain tuna sushi. I thought it wasn't very flavorful at first, but it is quite good when dipped in soy sauce. The roll is well made and the fish is fresh. Portion for the price is okay. 4/5. Overall, this is a nice place to get sushi in the North Hills. Their special rolls are exciting and flavorful. The haru maki is great if you love spring rolls, and I've heard the egg rolls are amazing as well. May come back to try the Chinese dishes like General Tsos!

I got the fried dumplings, edamame app (spicy garlic), a spicy shrimp roll and a Philly roll with fresh salmon (+$1). Everything was excellent. I will say I think the steamed dumplings are better. Also the fresh salmon with the Philly roll is much better than the smoked salmon that usually comes in it. Definitely would recommend sushi tomo!

My favorite sushi place near the city, good service too. Really good special rolls, been wanting to check out some of their special events but haven't had the chance.

Amazing sushi. Definitely get the penguin roll. Their fried rice was the only negative. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Very middle of the road. But I'll still give them 5 stars b/c everything else was great and the service was wonderful.

Man oh man everything was delicious! I just ordered a dinner to go and they brought it out to me, everybody was super nice that I spoke with on the phone and this is quality sushi! And watch out, that wasabi will definitely open your sinuses! And my photos of the food do it no credit, everything was superb!

I love sushi at this place. For sushi 5 stars 👍🏼. For service 2 stars 👎🏼. Your server should learn how to be polite to costumers.

Sushi Tomo is the best place in the North Hills to get sushi. Full stop. The quality is top notch, good portions, not too pricey for what you get, and dining in is an intimate and special affair in a cozy dining room with a small bar that is perfect for a lunch meeting. Bonus points for overhearing that it was my birthday and giving me free ice cream mochi in my takeout order! A really unique place, well worth a visit if you have even a slight inclination towards sushi, poke, or more traditional Japanese hot plates. The Chinese is okay, but you're doing yourself a disservice if you go with that when the Japanese offerings are so incredibly delicious.

Daughter loves ramen 🍜 so we came here. It was very good. I'm not the ramen expert, but our daughter is and she gave it great reviews. She recommends the spicy miso. We also had some sushi, crab rangoon, egg rolls, general tsos, and some kind of wasabi dumplings. Everything was very good.
