Amazing time with the family, both my little ones loved it. I definitely recommend getting wrist bands as works out cheaper and can go on the rides multiple times. Lovely walk around see all the animals. Even better now they have a little farm area to look around. If your there over 3 hours car parking is £6 but worth it as you don't get bored. Even take a picnic makes your day cheaper.

A great place for a day out with children. The staffs are quite friendly, and my son had a good time there. I recommend to buy a wristband if you plan more than 8 rides. The parking is not free, 6 pounds per day.

Comprehensive free play area. Could maybe do with a little more for the younger ones, though our 3 year old had a good go at things! Also enjoyed the paid rides. Not impressed with the sandwiches or cleanliness of tables in cafe. Coffee good and staff friendly. Car park and paths good. We thought it a bit odd that there was a washbasin in the disabled loo but no drier!

Such a wonderful experience with all the rides! Not enough time to get to all the activities in the day, but well worth trying. If your child is under a metre then I wouldn't suggest buying a wrist band as there are very few rides they can go on. In fact there is only 1 ride that they can ride on alone and then 4 rides that a grown up would need to join you (there may be more, but that's what I experienced with my 2.5 year old). The staff were very helpful and friendly. The toilets were clean and well maintained. The parks are also well maintained and beautiful - I wish I'd taken more photos! If you go now (May) there are little goslings and lambs to see too. And obviously all the spring flowers, trees are all green,so it's a very pleasant place to picnic.

We went here for the day and had a great time. The park itself is clean, tidy and well kept. We purchased wristbands for us all (2 adults and 3 children). We arrived at the park at around 10:30am and quickly got our wristbands and started our adventure. All of the attractions that we participated in seemed well maintained and as stated earlier all well kept. The park was not very busy when we visited so the queues were short. The longest queue was for the log flume, which was obviously the favourite of a lot of the visitors and we probably waited for around 30 minutes. We purchased food from the fish and chips and the burger shack, with plenty of others to choose from, cafes, restaurants etc I did see signs for a pizzeria but am uncertain as to whether that was open. The prices seemed fair and what we had was tasty. Our only real criticism is the opening and closing times, we felt that, especially in the summer, the parks attractions and food outlets could be opened for longer, perhaps 7 or 8pm. As the attractions closed at 5pm at around 4:45pm we told our boys they could pick one more before we went only to be told that they were already closed. They had chosen to go on the swings in the fairground area and there were roughly 10 available seats but the girl didn't let them on, just told them that that was the last ride and sent them away. We just felt we didn't have enough time to see it all but I guess that means another visit in the future. I would recommend this destination for any family looking for a day trip or even a camping trip with onsite campgrounds. All in all a great day.

Lovely day out with the family, plenty to do and with a wristband each we were able to go on everything. Aviary and land rover jeeps were closed during our visit which our boys would have really enjoyed but it didn't stop us having fun. Best part for me was the boating lake where I rowed around a lake it was good fun plenty of laughs. We had food which was tasty and filled us up plenty.

Fantastic old school fun with some good rides thrown in for good measure. Food as expected cost more than the high street, but by no means is at usual park rip off prices. At £20 for a childs wristband pass and £18 for an adult a reasonable priced day out (you can buy individual ride tickets, but that can work out very expensive), parking was just £6 for the day so again very reasonable. I can recommend it for a fun lowish cost day. Another plus is the food portions are good and the food itself very tasty.

Enjoyed when I was a child, and despite a few bits of aged and peeling paint and disused rides behind metal fencing from yesteryear there is still so much to do and new rides to enjoy. Almost too much to get through everything in a single day! Thoroughly enjoyed our day with my family and will be back again for sure!

Lovely family venue. No entry fee, but parking charged. Wrist bands or tickets for rides. Lovely areas for picnics or food stalls if you prefer. Toilets always clean. Lots of green spaces and rides for a range of ages, probably best for children aged 5 to 12 years. Lake for boating and the little train is a family tradition.

A great day out. So much to see and do that you need more than one day to get round. The rides were very reasonably priced at £1 each. Good selection of ice creams but they were a bit expensive. Plenty of baby change facilities and loos, spotlessly clean. Will definitely visit again. Can recommend

This place is amazing. I took my 13year old daughter and we had a great time. There is loads to do. There is a small area with rides that includes a roller coaster, log flume, spinning swings etc etc. There is a mini train that takes you on a tour of the grounds. Lots of cafes that are reasonably priced. Lots of areas for little tots with little rides, they also do little shows for little ones. Wicksteed also has a huge adventure playground for kids of all ages to enjoy. A truly great place!!!

Great place with variety of rides enjoyed by my 9 year old grandson and his friend. Fantastic water chute. This 65 year old will not be going on the treetop 'walkways', more like assault course but the boys enjoyed it and I did get round without having to be rescued (just) 😂 enjoyed the train ride as well. Lovely fresh pizza at the pavilion cafe recharged the batteries. The boys really enjoyed the slides as well. Fully recommend this park for a great day out making memories

I remember going here when I was young in the 1960s! This time took our grandchildren, 2 and 5. Overall a great day out, plenty to do for at least the 5 year old and sufficient for 2 year old. Faster rides though not suitable (not a criticism just letting people know). Wide open spaces, old fashioned park rides, fun fair rides etc. Great place to take a picnic and a ball as you pay for the rides you go on. For the age mix of our party we didn't need to buy the wrist bands: they cost £22 and we didn't go on 27 rides. They recommend individual tickets for the very young, but I'd do the same for all of us next time. We were left with a little sour taste in that the indoor play area is extra, not covered by wrist band or tickets. Only found out after making the promise to the GKids. We'd definitely go again and mix the attractions with family picnic, own ball games etc.

Great day out with the kids been coming here since I was a kid. Great rides plenty of open space for the ankle biters to run around. Only tip I can give is take your own food as the food prices are a little high plus all kids love a picnic. Would highly recommend A++++++

Great theme park for the kids. We took our 10 year old and 5 year old both of which where able to go on all the rides, some supervised by myself as required. Lots of choice for rides and food stools, great that you can take a picnic and leave the park to eat to keep a cheaper option. Felt slightly let down by some of the rides not being open and looking slightly run down but we don’t understand the park is getting old and can take time to refurb. But so far the eh are doing a great job of it. Also great adults can enter while not wanting to go on rides so don’t have to pay.

I have found memories of coming here as a kid and in some ways it's unchanged! Pros: good value for children at £20 for unlimited rides, it wasn't too busy, adults don't have to pay if they don't want to ride, plenty to do, facilities were clean. Cons: not many really! Not much for smaller toddlers and may be a bit boring for older teens. Best age range is probably 4 to 12. Would recommend.

Been going here every summer from last 20 years. Hasn't changed much and in my opinion it shouldn't change. There is something for everyone from elderly people to toddlers. Best part is the picnic area, you spent whole day together with your family and friends doing bbq and party in open. Have all the facilities specifically the toilets which have improved very much. Really great place for a day out.

Easy to find location and excellent day out for young kids and families. Park is a boating Lake, train and 4 zones, separated by lots of 'picnic' grass. £6 all-day parking is reasonable (very easy to pay, when leaving. They use anpr's, so no barriers), and £22 all-access bands are great vs £3 per ride. It's great visitors all enter for free, so the only charge is too ride, park and eat. Food is OK but perfect place to picnic. Toilets everywhere. Lots of fun rides for kids, but sad race track seems permanently closed.

Great value for a day out. Even better the tickets were a £1 per ticket instead of £3 until end of August. I purchased a wristband for my 2 girls and 3 of there friends as better value for me. Took lunch and drinks with us as very expensive on site to buy food and drinks which is why I marked as 4 not 5.

Growing up, this was a great place for low income families to spend a fun day on a low budget. It is very different now. Adult wrist bands are the same price as children's, and the best rides are no longer there. It is better for younger children, but not so much teens to adults. I don't think it's worth what you pay, but still a nice family day out.

We had a great day out with children aged 9 and 11. Lucky with the weather which made it easy Would give 5* but just needed a bit of shade in the adventure zone and somewhere to sit while the kids enjoyed the rides. Generally a bit more seating for us grannies would be good. A few more parking ticket booths would help reduce the queues. A definite yes for us. Will be returning.

  • 5/5 gary m. 9 months ago on Google
Massive, lots of things to do and lots of space to do what you like to. The only black mark would be, not enough seats for us old folks to stop and rest, and I know it's difficult but seats in the shelter from the sun and rain and lots of them would be a great improvement. But still, a brilliant place to visit for a day out

  • 4/5 Mary-Ann A. 9 months ago on Google
The park looked a bit tired but during August the rides were brilliant value at £1 per ride. The free playground is really good and the lake is good to walk round. Ice creams were a bit expensive but very nice! Our 3 grandchildren aged 7 and under really enjoyed the space to run around and the train ride.

Great place for a day out with the family. Cost of the rides are superb....venue is great. Would have loved a few more tea/coffee vendors! Unbelievable these days they seem to be everywhere but here! So today was spent mostly queueing....I know it was bank holiday so should expect some waiting ✋🏼 and the log flume is just not worth the wait...sorry

We visited the park with my 5 year old son as it had been recommended by my father who visited as a child. We had an incredible day from start to finish. Started our day in the top park of the park going on the swings, drop tower, clown coaster, tea cups and the huge indoor slides. All operated quickly but the rides had very short cycles. However if there was no large queue, which there wasn't all day, the operators allowed you to ride again! Little one also loved the bird house with the talking parrots. We then moved to the lower section of the park and rode the log flume, ladybird coaster and the flying ride. All very good with the log flume getting you wetter than i thought it would! We then had some lunch which was very resonably priced and enjoyable as well! We then went to what was the highlight of the day for me, the vintage rides. The cars were okay but the original 30s water shoot is brilliant. Not many of these left either and you can tell its well looked after. We finished on the train for a lovely ride round the entire park. Overall we had a fantastic day and will certainly be back!

It's fine for a dog walk and using the Ringo app makes parking easy. The drinks in the cafe were over priced we ended up leaving and getting a drink somewhere else. Parts of the park look really tatty, surprisingly as it's so close to summer season.

Wicksteed Park located in Kettering is a little gem of a park. It’s absolutely gorgeous and gigantic, loads and loads of green space, with lots trees and flowers, it’s well maintained. On this occasion there was a Jamaican themed event, with a DJ punching out some serious Jamaican tunes, there was lots of Jamaican foods on offer, my chosen choice was curry goat with rice, seriously nice, washed down with rum punch. There is lots of activities for the kids, lots of rides to cater for all ages, adventures can be had in the adventure playground for all ages including some little adults. Lots to do and see and do, you can spend all day here, bonus is parking is plentiful , however you do have to pay for it, not good. Overall a great place space to relax, chill and for the little or big ones expend their energies

Can't comment about the rooms we didn't use one. The service at the park was fine All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Spent two nights in the camping venue. A tad expensive at £60 but the facilities were good including showers and toilets. A very good weekend with my granddaughter she loved it. 😁😁😁

I love a good visit to Wicksteed Park any time of year, its so beautiful to walk around, I like finding a quite spot to do some reading in nicer weather, I love photography and being there taking photos, lovely fireworks display this year. Would love to join the team there for fire performance entertainment.

Brilliant place to go. Took the grandchildren here and they absolutely loved it. Got the tickets online which work out quite a bit cheaper but they also have a large playground which is free for the kids

  • 5/5 Georgina C. 1 year ago on Google
Love that you can come to the park and use the vast amount of playground equipment, walk around the grounds and have a picnic and only pay for the car park. The rides are worth paying the wristband fee for if you’re there all day. The queues at busy times are very slow, we waited an hour for the log ride as there were only what looked like 2 cars going round and they were not filling them, some went with just 1 person in. Common sense should be to fill them at peak times. Other than that, great place to go with kids and adults of all ages. Completely dog friendly too.

  • 5/5 Jay 1 year ago on Google
Great day out! Beautiful grounds for picnics and walks and a large play area all free. We got wristbands and they'd paid for themselves within an hour as kids generally wanted to ride things more than once. Can't compliment the staff enough, a lot of them seemed very young but were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Visited the Pavillion for a wedding. Very beautiful set up in the Hall with plenty space to accommodate all guests. Didn't get to see or experience all of the park. However the part we did see see was very nice and well kept, with beautiful views. As guests we didn't have to pay for parking but parking prices were reasonable and affordable.

I like Wicksteed having good memories of visits over many years as a child..with my kids and now my grandkids. I thought the cost of yesterday's visit considering the very restricted choice of rides open was a bit steep but as ever we all enjoyed it. I hope it survives the crisis it is suffering as it would be tragic to lose such a great attraction.

  • 5/5 David S. 2 years ago on Google
A wonderful day out. My granddaughter enjoyed every second of it. I first visited the park in 1951 as a 7 year old and had fond memories. I was in my childhood again on the train ride. Oh such lovely memories. Thank you to everyone there for a great day out..

Lovely place, great atmosphere, unfortunately my granddaughters will soon be too old for it. However the 15 and 14 year old still enjoyed themselves

Something for everyone. Very clean and well laid out. Excellent catering facilities and very reasonable prices quality food. Staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic day out. Plenty of parking, shame only two parking ticket machines and only one working, phone to pay rubbish.

  • 5/5 Tori P. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely place to visit and so much for the kids. You pay to park (at the end of your visit) and then you just pay for ride passes which are fabulous value. Our 12 years old got a full ride pass for about £17 and could go any ride as many times as they wanted. Lots of rides and things to do for preschoolers and school age children. Great running around space, good dog walking (the lake is really pretty) and the fish and chip shop was delicious and well priced!

  • 5/5 Paul B. 2 years ago on Google
We were there for the Wicksteed at war event, brilliantly organised. The park itself is a superb place for our 3 yr old grandson to play safely

  • 5/5 Nathan B. 2 years ago on Google
Wheelchair accessible and disabled parking spaces no steps, but when you're walking around there are rocky patches. They do have events on throughout the year, which are always worth a visit. Only downside is there's only one parking pay machine so queue is always long. They need to invest in at least another parking machine to make it quicker to pay for parking when you leave.

  • 4/5 Gary W. 2 years ago on Google
It would have got 5 stars but on the day we went, during October half term break, the bottom half of the park where the big rides are was closed. Also most of the cafes were closed. And a big section of kids play area was fenced off. But at least the train was running!! But still a good day out. 😁

Well, we did not avail any room facilities. Rides, theme parks are great. Prices reasonable. Great family time out. Has a separate barbecue area as well. Loads of open space.

We enjoyed the park. Unfortunately, all rides were closed due to bad weather. However, there are lots to do and we enjoyed the beautiful scenary. We will be back for the rail again.

Really good day but not very well stated that only the top part of the park was open. My girls had a good day never the less.

First time visit in 28years we took our grandchildren and had a fantastic time. Surprised how little the car park was ,6hours cost £6 the children's rides and all park staff were fantastic. Fast food outlets were great value for money so I can't recommend a visit as you won't be disappointed.

  • 5/5 OB N. 2 years ago on Google
Visited Wicksteed at War as a family of four and it was a fantastic day out. Loads of stalls and war memorabilia and people dressed in war time clothing. Lots to see and do. Didn't need to spend loads to have a great time. After we had looked at everything the children played in the park which was very large and is correctly being updated. If you do want to spend more then the rides are very reasonably priced and a good range for all ages. Plenty of food and drink outlets too. Overall a great day out.

  • 5/5 Collette S. 11 months ago on Google
First time visiting this park and wasn’t disappointed. Such a lovely place. Couldn’t decide to either buy wristbands or tokens. Family of four. Two adults. 6 year old and nearly 2 year old 0.8m tall. Wristbands were the cheaper option in the end. Staff friendly and happy. Food was really tasty. We ate in the American diner. We couldn’t do the whole park we got there at midday so we ran out of time. We will come back and come earlier in the day.

I've been visiting Wicksteed for thirty odd years and never had a bad visit. It's great value, attentive staff and lovely setting always make for a great day out. It looks like the park could do with a little investment and the lake / water / boating corner especially looks tired and a lot of the old attractions have gone. I'm crossing my fingers for this place and I'll keep visiting regardless.
