Excellent cheese scone in the cafe. Nice sunny day for a 30 minute stroll around the reservoir. Shame about the traffic noise.

Lovely few hours out around the reservoir with my 18 month old grandson, swans, ducks, geese, model boats, not so sure about the rat family living in the base of a tree though!!! Delicious latte coffee too.

Lovely place, to make it better I had a lovely lady on my arm. Cafe is spot on to. Yep, will definitely go back there. What a lovely morning it was.

Nice walk... nature and wildlife makes for good photography. Refreshments at Mill Waters cafe make a nice stop off.

The refurbished visitors centre/cafè is great. I hope people use it to keep it open. As for the walk round reservoir, it's enjoyable but it could do with some more benches, dog poo bins and a bit of work to the landscaping. It's great that the car park is free.

Nice reservoir to walk around there is a coffee shop, car and carpark. There are paths so you can walk to Sutton lawn staying away from the roads. Only thing that let's it down is lack of lighting so if you are walking around and it begins to get dark you are very quickly in pitch black.

I love it here, the resident black duck seems to know us now and comes straight over, it also has no problem sitting right next to us or standing on our feet to eat the seed from our tubs or hands. The swans and geese are also rather forward as well, it is brilliant stood in the middle of them while they take seed from us. Also managed to spot a black swan early morning of 06/05/19 looking healthy and joining the others for a good munch.

Kings Mill Reservoir is a nice gentle walk as it is level which is good if you have walking problems. It is well drained and dry on the footpaths. If you want to eat there's a cafe just past the car park (which is both large & free). Kings Mill is also good for bird feeding.

Lovely circular (2k) walk with mostly stable footways. Okay for walking, wheeling and cycling. Traffic free and ideal for runners/joggers/walkers with a cafe on site. Lots of wildlife and plenty of seating and tables for a picnic. Ideal spot to spend some time if you are waiting for someone visiting the local hospital however, noise from traffic spoils what could be a tranquil 5* setting.
