We
haven’t
been
able
to
stay,
due
to
refugees
being
put
up
in
this
hotel.
We
have
booked
for
July
this
year
for
one
night
as
we
are
going
to
a
concert
at
the
Open
Air
Theatre.
Having
booked
early
this
year
for
the
room
we
decided
to
go
and
book
our
car
in.
We
were
greeted
with
3
security
guards
at
the
door
who
informed
us
that
the
hotel
wasn’t
open
to
the
public.
We
told
them
we
had
confirmation
of
the
booking
in
July.
He
said
No,
the
hotel
wouldn’t
be
open
to
the
public
this
year!
We
have
cancelled
the
booking
and
have
booked
at
the
Grand
Hotel
now.
My
husband
has
since
rang
Britannia
and
told
them
that
Booking.com
is
still
taking
bookings
for
that
night
and
any
other
stays!
If
we
hadn’t
visited
Scarborough
that
day
and
gone
to
book
our
car
in,
we
would
have
turned
up
that
day
expecting
to
check
in
for
the
night
and
the
hotel
being
closed
to
the
general
public.
People
need
to
know
as
I
am
sure
there
will
be
others
who
have
booked
into
this
hotel.
It
is
still
being
advertised
on
Booking.com
so
clearly
Britannia
have
done
nothing.
