I
recently
went
to
Park
Avenue
Salon,
and
it
was
by
far
the
highlight
of
my
year
(pun
unintended,
yet
there
it
is)!
It
had
been
three
years
since
I'd
been
in
a
stylists
chair.
Trust
me
when
I
tell
you:
it
showed.
I
walked
in
feeling
so
bedraggled
that
I
half
expected
to
be
turned
away
for
being
"beyond
help."
I
chose
Park
Avenue
Salon
after
asking
people
on
the
Nextdoor
app
for
recommendations.
I
had
a
horrifying
amount
of
gray
roots
growing
out
of
my
head
and
the
contrast
of
it
against
the
dark
brown
of
my
hair
was...
Well,
I
don't
have
words
that
can
describe
how
horrified
I
was
every
time
I
passed
a
mirror.
It
didn't
help
when
I
decided
that
with
Brad
Mondo's
help,
I
could
cut
my
own
hair,
either.
You
can
imagine
the
state
I
was
in
when
I
walked
in
that
salon
door.
It
was
a
good
thing
the
salon
was
once
a
church,
because
I
needed
a
miracle.
And
that's
what
I
got,
compliments
of
a
sweet,
angel
of
a
stylist
named
Katie.
Katie
was
so
wonderful
to
talk
to.
She
spent
time
looking
my
hair
over,
and
not
once
did
she
make
me
feel
badly
for
my
appearance.
To
the
contrary.
Katie
listened
to
what
I
was
hoping
to
achieve
with
my
hair.
I
could
see
that
she
had
a
plan
and
that
she
was
excited
to
take
on
the
challenge.
Her
enthusiasm
and
wonderful
communication
skills
led
me
to
say
what
I've
never
said
to
a
stylist
ever
in
my
life:
"I
trust
you.
You
have
my
permission
to
take
full
creative
control."
I
was
there
in
the
salon
for
four
hours,
and
it
was
one
of
the
nicest
things
I've
done
for
myself
in
years.
They
really
do
take
care
of
you
and
want
you
to
feel
pampered
there.
The
salon
itself
is
amazing;
it's
unique
architecture
is
stunning.
Everything
is
tastefully
arranged,
and
there
are
fabulous
views
of
Puget
Sound...
Katie
did
an
absolutely
incredible
job
on
my
hair,
transforming
it
from
"ugh"
to
"WOW!"
If
you're
in
need
of
a
top-notch
salon,
this
is
where
you
want
to
book.
I'm
happy
to
say
that
my
search
is
over,
and
I'm
so
happy
that
I
went
here!
I
can't
wait
to
go
back.
