This is not the first time being disappointed in the service given by this hospital. Very disappointing indeed, the last time I was told that things had improved but it looks it gets worse by day. I went to the gynaecology section, where I had not seen my menstruation for one and a half months. I was done a Ct scan of my womb, taken to the lab to do various tests and made to return on a different day for consultation with the doctor to do an analysis of the results. I returned and got the results from the lab which showed high oestrogen level in my blood, high progesterone & high prolactin and the doctor said that my body was confused and that it thought that I had a little baby. The doctor prescribed metamorfin and dostinex to stimulate ovulation and supress prolactin. This is a wrong diagnosis altogether because later that day I got back home and did a home pregnancy test and discovered I was pregnant. The doctor was not alarmed by the very high oestrogen & progesterone levels in my blood including the prolactin for her at least to order a pregnancy test to be done instead I was given the wrong medication which could cause complications in my pregnancy. What a waste of money and time to pay for all these services and get wrongly diagnosed. I also heard the doctor and the nurse who attended to me speaking bad about a lady who is pregnant who wanted to wait for a natural birth and they said it was ridiculous for her to want that she should just be operated on and not wait for the day her baby would come out naturally. They said this while they did the CT SCAN on me. This hospital is a nightmare and it's private hospital staus should be stripped of as it none of that. Go at your own risk

This is the roadside hospital and no one is professional. I was thinking that I will get professional people there but really found rustic one. Very slow service. They made commitment and promised then broke up. I have written my details very clearly they don't even read .. all staff is really unprofessional. Looking after a money. Please improve your retention and if I need to claim for refund. I need to flight with stone minded people... Never ever waste your money... Really poor minded and people need good education in medical sector otherwise future is worst Please 🙏🙏 never go there 😞

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this hospital. The procedures are unnecessarily complicated, and the staff were not helpful at all in guiding me through the process. What’s worse, I had to wait an entire month just to request a refund — a completely unacceptable delay. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone looking for efficient or patient-centered care. Very poor experience overall.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I have to rate LenMed a 1 because of a complete lack of efficiency in the hospital. First of all, minimum time you spend here for any non emergency is 3 hours. Regardless of what it is you need. Even a routine visit. If anyone tells you it’s shorter, it’s because they have a connection in the admin and have managed to bypass the usual process. Everyone has accepted it and the hospital has settled with how things are because they have no competition. They have excellent doctors, loads of staff everywhere, and you can do almost anything BUT: at every single point, they rescan and photocopy your passport and your insurance card. The systems are not connected; they charge you for everything. Even vaccine administration as if you can decide to take the vaccine home; the pharmacy is actually a queue nightmare. It takes minimum 1.5 hours to get through it. The pharmacists type in each medication again, then photocopy your ID and insurance card yet again. Not to mention the ~60% price mark up on majority of the meds. You start to wonder if you should actually fulfill scripts there. In the lab, it is as if they don’t have a system to tick the tests the doctor has asked for —but the actual form itself is filled with check boxes. There are free ODK forms that can make this whole process quicker. Lenmed can even decide to deploy the systems they use in South Africa in Mozambique. They could even create new data input systems … But they chose not to. They excuse it all by saying it’s a first come first serve basis. But in Lilongwe, in the middle of nowhere, a much smaller chain, MASM, runs a clinic that has a maximum wait of 1 hour. It’s on a first come first serve basis, operating with less staff than LenMed and still manages to see people in less than half the time (despite other scarcity problems). LenMed…do better. We all know you can. We deserve better. Don’t abandon us in the queues. Please invest in a good hospital manager or hospital admin team.

Becoming worse and worse sadly. Wait times are ridiculous made worse by admin staff who are both inefficient and clearly are happy to ‘fast-track’ others for payment. Absolute joke of a place. Don’t bother trying to get an appointment - you would be better served in the public hospital! Corrupt and disgraceful. They won’t read or care about this review though.

It was my first time here, and I had an absolutely great experience. As soon as you walk through the front door, there is a man with a big, bright smile greeting you to lift up your spirits. When you get to the reception desk, they greet with kindness, and almost everyone in the hospital can assist you in English. Knowing some Portuguese would definitely help, but I did not feel stressed or judged because I wasn't fluent in Portuguese. I was directed to Urgent Care, and the receptionists there were also very kind and helpful. I was seen by Dr. Langa, and he was very professional and clear with his explanation and instructions. Also, their processes are very efficient. I arrived at 8am, and I was in and out within 2 hours because I had to wait for my test results. Overall, I had an amazing, stress-free experience, and I left the hospital feeling much better than before I walked in. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in Maputo.

For consultations process and everything is at an extremely slow pace. Even purchases at the pharmacy. Its sole destroying. No big queus, just long waiting periods. Doctors an nursing staff are great and effecient.

There's a serious lack of method, training, procedure and efficient IT systems, and overall professionalism in this hospital. The Admin process is so ridiculously slow, its hard to tell, whether they hired incompetent admin staff or whether the process is overloaded with bureaucratic mico-tasks. Could be both. I was however satisfied with the service we got at the Maternity ward which is very good. Otherwise the lab will take an hour at least to attend you, and for paediatrics, get ready for battle, you're here for the day. The staff is on the phone all the time so as they attend you they simultaneously attend 3-5 other bits and pieces of process. Expect under normal circumstances to spend here at least 5 hours between admissions, waiting your turn, admission at the Lab, waiting again. 5 hours even if you skip the last step (pharmacy) which is also unbelievably slow, certainly the slowest Pharmacy in town, I now take my order to a 'normal' pharmacy. Sadly it seems the management isn't interested (or competent) in improving this situation which is basically the same since this Hospital opened. At least the prices went up 50% in three years so not everyone is unhappy.
