I went in to have a cyst looked at for removal. Everything was going great until the doctor saw a tattoo on my back. She, the Dr., made a comment about how I was “really giving her a run for her money.” Then she states that she doesn’t have any numbing agent and blames a “national shortage”. I have mane family members in the medical community and one of them have had any trouble getting their orders. The best part was the doctor told me if I could get my own numbing agent, she would use that. Are you serious? I’ll take my business to people who don’t discriminate or allow shady practices to take place in their office.

I'm sharing my personal perspective and experiences here. It's important to note that my review and observations are tailored to my individual encounters and may not capture the entirety of everyone's interactions or the institution's character (or at least that's my belief). Over the course of the past year or two, I've visited this establishment a few times. While the experiences weren't exactly awe-inspiring and didn't leave a lasting impression of genuine friendliness, I didn't find this overly bothersome. Yet, it didn't contribute positively to my visits. My reasons for visiting were centered around obtaining a skin service, and being someone who appreciates a more reserved demeanor, I always aimed to approach each interaction with politeness and respect. My visits NEVER escalated into conflicts; my sole focus was on the service itself. Without delving extensively into the intricate details of my encounters, I'd like to explain the rationale behind awarding a one-star review. There was an instance recently where I believed I was overcharged, and the quality of the service provided left room for improvement. I engaged in courteous conversations with the billing department (where I sensed a hint of condescension in some remarks) and even reached out to the management. The management team, yes. My approach was civil and empathetic, acknowledging their standpoint for the charges incurred. They assured me of a follow-up call the following day to discuss a resolution, which regrettably..that call has never came..its been over a week. Throughout the process, it felt as though the individuals I conversed with were somewhat indifferent. Despite my efforts to address the situation respectfully and thoughtfully, I found myself met with dismissal and neglect. When this sort of treatment spans across interactions with the technician, the billing team, and the management, it speaks volumes about the overall experience. I hold no intention of showing any disrespect toward this establishment, nor do I harbor any ill intentions. My sincere hope is that this particular location can aspire to higher standards.

I was previously put on topical chemocream for two weeks which caused my chest to bleed and show up large red spots all over my chest in which being a working professional representing many of the large medical groups where a few of the physicians looking at my chest said what I was asked to do was overkill and totally unnecessary. I have been wearing turtle neck tops in this still very hot weather and am from other medical providers was totally unnecessary. Also I was called regarding a small bump, very small bump on my arm which was removed at 99% non-maliginate in which they called me for when I go in for a full body check they wanted to cut down deeper, add stitches to check out the 1% unknow in which quite a few of my ACP doctor clients who responded that they were very disappointed that Ironwood would even request to cut deeper into that area to then stich me up for an unnecessary further cut into a tiny wart looking deal on my arm. My ACP physician groups with whom I represent all over town heard this they were taken back that Ironwood would even recommend such unneccessary cutting and were even shocked that you all recommend the Chemocream for my entire chest without taking a couple small biopsies to even justify such treatment which by the way made me nauseous with diarrhea for a few days due to the large area that this cream went onto my chest. I love Isiah who does botox and juviderm out of your Oracle Road location but now not only myself but other referring primary doctors, friends and clients with ACP and Manana Health Center and other physicians which is a huge base of my clientele were dumbfounded by even being on this Chemo Cream treatment request and Ironwood's further request to cut deeper into my arm with stiches on a small wart like looking thing on my right arm that came back 99% non-maligant. Very disappointed to say the least. I am setup to have a look at my entire body which I will do but perfably not with Blaine who requested such overkill of unnecessary treatments and further cutting into my are with stitches. My doctor friend and clients stated that they were not dermotologist but even with them looking at my chest and arm where the small wart looking thing was taken off were extremely disappointed in Ironwood's extreme recommendations for Chemocream for two weeks and the little tiny wart deal removed from my arm with it being 99% non-malignate that Ironwood would even recommend further cutting deeper into this area that would require stitches was beyond absurd and even beyond ridiculous. Typically physicians refer to the specialists recommendation but Ironwood's recommended beyond necessary use of Chemocream for 2 weeks all over my chest and to cut into my arm with stitches when the small spot they removed all was over the top and unnecessary. These primary care doctors who refer out to dermatologists such as Ironwood took great pause into what they saw happen to me. Unfortunate but when a specialist such as yourselves put people through unnecessary treatments causes other physicians concern as to how a specialist treats unnecessarily another human being.

Cash grab “medical facility”. They offer expensive treatments that ARE NOT effective. Came to get a small red mole removed, it took 2 visits, $500, and the mole is still exactly the same. Zero improvement has been made. I was the only patient in the facility under the age of 65+ on BOTH of my visits. There’s definitely a reason for that. People who aren’t on Medicaid/cushy retirement can’t afford the ineffective, pricey treatments. Don’t come here, save your time and money.

What a great experience I just had with Dr.Cervantes and his asst. Jen. If you have to have a MOHS procedure these are the people to go to. Not only extremely professional but friendly and informative. Almost sorry this is NOT a repeat occurance because of the efficient atmosphere and clean facilities. I could not imagine going to a Doctor's surgery and have coffee and snacks available. WOW they have their patients wellbeing in mind.

Recently showed up for my appointment that had been rescheduled because they had to cancel me previously for another emergency. Of course I said give me another date. I show up for my New time and the desk person sez, you have no appointment today! I explained the previous office emergency. They look at me like your S.O.L. Not the way to treat patients in my opinion!!

I liked this place at first until I was basically tricked by the provider into getting some tiny injection (that didn't even work) without even consenting or discussing this and now I'm being charged $50. I told the provider I was concerned about payment because I know my copays are so high and he told me not to worry and it will be worked out. Liar. Do not recommend, especially provider named Blaine who was very full of himself. This one brief visit that got me nothing is now costing me $150.

Every member of the staff in this office is warm, friendly, caring and compassionate. I have never experienced a wait beyond my appointment time. The physicians and other practitioners provide exceptional care. I would highly recommend Ironwood Dermatology to absolutely anyone. This facility is truly 5 stars.
