We are not really into art but this museum was recommended by the Tourist Office - a lot to see and some really amazing works of art. Beautiful to see. Worth the visit!

You must see it. Beautiful building with beautiful paintings arranged in chronological order. Even if the photos are nice is much better to appreciate the paintings in person.

Exceeded my expectations. I arrived 10min before 4pm when the free entrance started and I could go in as soon as the clock ticks 4. Lots of oil paintings about normal life and religious ones. Recommended.

Not my favourite museum of all time but there are some lovely art pieces here of traditional Andalucían scenes with wonderful local constumry. The “masters” room is tiny and not that impressive save for one gorgeous “portrait” painting (in my view!) The more modern pieces from the early 20th century are striking. Enjoyed the Da Ribeira collection on the ground floor. Was able to enter for free a journalist but not sure if worth the high entry fee.

Went on a weekday so there was not too many people. Just after the entrance there is lockers where you can leave luggage you might not want to carry around with you - it was €1 and after you can take your money back. Visited primary because of the pieces of René Magritte and Paul Delvaux that i found quite intriguing to see in originals. It isn’t a huge museum but the pieces are arranged well to enjoy them.

An amazing gallery with galleries of beautiful paintings, a cafe and great gift shop. There is also a temporary gallery - when I visited, it was an exhibition of prints. Well worth a visit - make sure you look at the incredible carved wooden ceilings.

Of course, as expected after visiting the Madrid branch, a very serious collection of art, well curated and fascinating. A vast collection of Spanish art of Spanish themes, but not only. The main exhibition is 3 floors from the collection, in more or less permanent curations, probably with slight changes. 4th floor has a changing exhibition, currently about Belgian art, was very cute and educational. OK entrance price at 10€, 1h-1,5h enough. Nice shop at the entrance with posters etc. Very much recommend!

A well and truly underrated gallery. Some incredible pieces of work, all so brilliantly curated and thoroughly enjoyable. One could spend hours mesmerised by the beautiful works in the place. It’s surprisingly quiet and those we came across all seemed relaxed and pleased. There is a lovely attached cafe well worth rewarding yourself with a coffee after your visit.

A lovely museum with a wide range of Spanish art and more. The staff are kind and the entire facility is quiet and beautifully appointed. It’s centrally located directly off the Plaza de la Constitución with not an overwhelmingly large collection, which is well appreciated among European museums. I, an American, saw some stunning pieces from well-respected Spanish artists who I had never heard of before, which was exciting and special. I found it to be a delightful tribute to Andaluz art and artists. A highly recommended visit while in Málaga !

Very comfortable with benches in most of the salas to sit and contemplete the art. Very interesting exhibitions and in order of dates. All are amazing, I could've stayed all day. Reasonably priced and in an area to enjoy the surrounding tapas bars and restaurants. Very much worth the visit...

Definitely one of the best museums I've ever been to. One hundred percent would really recommend, especially if the idea of being surrounded by romantic landscape and culture of Andalucia entices you. Excellent collections, beautiful structure, fantastic well-scripted FREE audioguide, big rooms, even amazing gift shop. What else can one ask for.

Beautuful building in the city center with various temporary exhibitions (modern and contemporary art) and the collection, mostly focusing on artists from the region. The 10 eur ticket allows access to all the exhibitions, it's a great way to cool down and get away from the noise of downtown.

Nice collection with some interesting paintings. However left disappointed after being told by museum attendant to put my mask over my nose! (I slided it of my nose only for couple of minutes as felt really hot) It wouldn't be nothing strange for me but the same person just few seconds before was having really loud chat and laughter with his security mate. Felt like he wanted to catch up with his professionalism and found me as a victim. I have no problem with wearing mask in a public areas but felt like a teenager being told for something I haven't really deserved. I was the ONLY person present in very large room. The whole museum must have maximum 10 people at that time. After trying to confront the situation with the front desk staff I hear no word of apology or even will of trying to solve the issue.

Great collection of Spanish art. We went during their baroque expo, so it was great to see the religious dark side of art juxtaposed to the lighter, fairs and party depictions on other floors. It provided a complete picture on the culture, background and landscapes to Spain. Must see!

What a beautiful museum. Plan to be there at least three hours. We didn’t and we regret it. Only had time to look at the ground floor. There are hearing aids that explain some of the paintings which is really cool also because they are free. Can’t take pictures.

The event was stunning it was in a beautiful location transporting you to a very stripped back easy to focus Moorish location. The seating and mood were comfortable and the musicians were on top form, the musical acoustics were well thought and performed to the highest quality. I will be returning for more experiences like this in future.
