Little Chinese restaurant that seems to be family owned (not sure). We ordered the pork belly buns ($8), the beef scallion pancake/wrap ($8), and a spicy noodle soup ($12). Was really excited for the deep fried buns but they happened to be out when we went. Food came out quickly, and the beef scallion pancake was great! However, in the future, I will steer clear of the pork belly buns. The pork belly was fatty but far more chewy/rubbery than melt-in-your-mouth as I expected. They have other filling options like chicken, etc., which may be better (haven't tried). My friend had the noodle soup, which was nice and he enjoyed. Might come back for the deep fried buns but not sure! Felt a bit overpriced for the quality, but maybe I would feel differently about a different selection.

This is seriously the best dumpling spot around. Authentic, fresh-made dumplings bursting with flavor and a perfect combination of ingredients. Also you can’t come here and not try one of their crispy scallion pancake wraps. Just do it!! Bess’s is the best.

Little nice homey place. Food was solid but nothing really blew me away. Food definitely won me over with strong basic foundation, and every food was served piping hot. Definitely worth the try if you are craving for beef noodle soup.

Food was not very good and the ground pork on the Dan Dan noodles was served cold with chunks of solid oil still in it. Noodles were hot. The woman behind the counter was rude and didn’t realize I could hear her mocking me because I asked if she could add sautéed vegetables to the noodles. She did not add vegetables.

Fast food when’s your in a pinch. There are not many options around around if Dolme is closed. The spicy beef soup way too salty. The dumplings were good. Sit down is for takeout people if they want to eat in location kind of thing. Decent place. Ok to go if that’s where you are but not worth traveling here for.

Pretty authentic and a quick place to grab a bite. I got the scallion pancake beef wrap. Anything scallion pancake here is delicious. I also recommend the shrimp steamed dumplings. The inside is a bit small if it becomes busy and you are looking for a seat, but take out is also an option here too.

Good food that was quick and inexpensive. The crispy chicken buns were our favorite dish. The scallion pancake wraps were also good although the plum sauce was a little overwhelming (next time we will ask for it on the side). Very quick and reasonably priced which is perfect with antsy kids.

I dont think I have ever loved a meal more! I got the chicken dumplings in Sichuan sauce and the chicken scallion pancake wrap and it was genuinely fantastic. The space is small and unassuming but the folks working there are so friendly and have created a truly fantastic environment in which to serve up amazing eats.

I drove all the way from Natick to Boston just to have Bess Cafe's homemade Dan Dan noodles, and it was totally worth it! The noodles were fresh and delicious. The sauce had the perfect amount of meat, and the portion size was generous. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere sealed the deal. If you're in the mood for amazing Dan Dan noodles, don't hesitate to make the trip to this cafe. It's a noodle adventure you won't regret!

I visited Bess’ Cafe when i was in boston. The wonton soup and the chicken wrap were delicious. The owner, Bess is the sweetest lady. Can’t wait to go back there and try more items on the menu.
