This is the best Aquarium store in Cairns, it is well layed out and maintained. All fish look healthy and vibrant. They have a great selection of fish, plants and equipment. The gent working was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Will definitely be back 🙌

For years i tried to order Raphael catfish without success around Cairns. Max aquarium always gave us hope and finally delivered me 2 x perfect Spotted Raphael's which are showing great signs of assimilating with all my large bottom catfish. Our favourite aquarium shop by far.

Max and his staff are always very helpful and Max is always happy to share his knowledge. He will take time to answer any questions you may have and is very patient with people new to the hobby. His shop is always tidy and it’s easy to find what you are looking for. Great service all around.

'Max was well versed in the ways of tropical fish', will read the headstone of this well-stocked aquarium's proprietor, in the advent of his death. As he's still alive, you could simply pay h a visit and see for yourself. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. I have found him to be nothing short of a fish God, like Triton from 'The little mermaid', but less grumpy and lacking in beard.

Spectacular little aquarium store. 100x better than any other store in cairns. Prices are reasonable, and they have a good range of tanks, foods, heaters etc. Fish are beautiful and healthy. Tanks are spotless with everything a fish could want and the whole shop is clean and tidy. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault a thing. I will definitely be going back to get fish in future!

Wonderful hidden gem. Very healthy fish, a nice selection of fresh and Saltwater fish, aquascaping and general aquarium care. Will definitely be shopping there again. Oh and the staff are very polite, knowledgeable and helpful.

We picked the right place! My partner and I are so glad we stopped by, service was beyond excellent and extremely accommodating considering his apparent vast knowledge and our very limited. So very open to answer our entry level questions and make us feel welcome. Was a pleasure to be treated so well in such a clean and organised store. (P.s. the coral and fish displays are aquarium level, do yourself a favour and just pop in for a squiz)
