We booked all 15 rooms for our son's wedding weekend-working with John the owner/manager was easy and effortless, and he was super accommodating with all the moving parts. The hotel is beautiful! After talking with all of the guests - the reviews were great - notably, people mentioned how comfortable the beds were and how easy the Surrey House made it to visit for a weekend and enjoy the beach (just a block away).

The location is great for beach days. Close to AC, Ocean City, and nice food spots along Ventnor Ave and Atlantic. The beach house is modest and quaint. Don't expect maid service every day so be kind to your towels! Expect to pay extra for clean sheets also. Bring extra tp, you only get one roll!!

Room was much to small for2 large beds We couldn't walk past each other 1person had to sit on bed. The place was great home away from home the only problem is that the Wi-Fi was so restrictive couldn't even use it but that wasn't a deal breaker since I Could just use my phone but wish the tv's were a little bigger still great spot will be returning

A 2 minute walk to the beach and a clean room! Only negative is parking. There's 2 paid spots out front that are not reserved specifically for the building so good luck finding a close by parking spot. The room was clean and had a TV fridge and AC. The bed was comfy as well.

The rooms were newly done! You can see the ocean right from the decks outside! Very clean and the staff was wonderful and the beach is right next to you! Lovely sunsets and sunrises! I will be back!

I'll start with the good stuff: -They did a beautiful job with the rooms and the rooms are well equipped -The location is great (I say this as a former Ventnor resident) -The place was quiet (until work was being done in the halls which they did not inform guests about). I paid for two nights I did not stay there because of how uncomfortable and irritated I was, read below to understand why. I arrived at Surrey Beach House after a long day of travel from the West Coast. I received a text with check in instructions, that I did not look at until I arrived. Once I arrived and opened the link in the text I was taken through an arduous check-in system that required multiple phones with my phone. There was also a drop-down menu for what country your license is from, yet the US was not listed. Obviously the owners did not research this app very well before deciding to use it. This is trivial to what happened next. The app was not accepting the photo of the back of my license. As I was struggling with this a young woman came up and introduced herself as the "bellhop". She offered to help and repeatedly apologized for my trouble but she could not get it to work either. She started becoming wound up and was repeatedly apologizing. I told her to call the owners to let them know that I would need them to cancel my reservation because I was tired and did not have time to deal with their dysfunctional app. She stood there pretending to dial for a minute. My friend (who has a condo around the corner and came to greet me) asked her what she wasn't dialing as she had the phone in her hand. She became more frantic and started crying and exclaimed "Please don't leave a bad review!". She continued to apologize repeatedly as she was crying. Eventually I got in but this greeting was unsettling and not what I wanted to be dealing with at 9:00 PM when I was just trying to get in my room. The rooms were very well equipped and nicely decorated. It appeared clean, aside from the hair in the shower drain which I had to clean out myself. I travel a lot for work and usually stay at mid-range hotels (Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites, etc.) The beds and pillows offered no support and were not the quality I find at the hotels I usually stay at, they were the quality I would expect at a budget motel. There was no communication whatsoever throughout my stay. The internet went down one night, no communication about that. Guys were working in my hallway one day, no communication about that. This is supposed to be a contactless place, but the lack of communication and difficulty getting in because of their complicated European check-in app was inexcusable. I checked out two days early and went to a nearby Inn which was great. I emailed Surrey Beach House to let them know I was checking out early, there was no response. They significantly need to change some things - check in, communication, the beds, not having to clean out hair from the shower before I could recommend for anyone to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay in our comfortable suite everything so fresh and clean with a modern decor with attention to detail, and a very comfy bed with nice big soft pillows. Our kitchen set up with everything we’d need from our morning coffee with pods, cream n sugar provided, new appliances, pots n pans, dishes and utensils, etc. a stones throw to the boardwalk and through the dunes to the beautiful beach. Restaurants and homemade ice cream just a short walk away. Very inviting decks to sit, relax and enjoy the view. Beautiful little hotel!

This place was perfect for our girl's trip! We had a room with two queen beds. It worked out great with the three of us. Decor is beautiful and amenities were perfect!! Will definitely be back!

We had a bit of an emergency and didn't have the keys to our condo. It was 1:30 am and we decided to try calling Surrey Beach House figuring no one would answer at such a late time. Surprise! They answered and got us in virtually. The rooms were well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, everything was super clean. The location is wonderful - beach block and within walking distance to restaurants and the movie theater. Very impressed with the great renovation job on this small boutique hotel.

I had the pleasure of visiting Surrey Beach House this past weekend + I can not stop raving about it. The attention to detail of this place was out of this world, you can tell the new owners put a lot of thought and care into this cute little hotel during renovations. Only steps from the beach location is everything I needed. The contactless check in was convenient even though I was lucky enough to bump into the manager John, who was both knowledgeable and friendly while I was there. This is my new go to, I’m so happy I found this hidden gem.

Surrey beach house is a great spot to enjoy the Jersey shore. It is literally several steps from the beach. Walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The suite which we occupied was great for a family. The full-service kitchen and separate living room were well appointed and well thought out. I would highly recommend, considering staying at Surrey beach house on your next visit to the shore.

New Owners in 2023, total renovation above and beyond! Absolutely gorgeous ! Rooms are spacious, beautiful furnishings and amenities are great! A lot of attention to detail went into renovation for a wonderful stay! Outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the ocean! Great location, steps away from the boardwalk and beach!🏖️ Close to restaurants, concerts, etc.!

This is a newly renovated hotel under new ownership, and they have truly done a wonderful job making this hotel feel like a contemporary coastal getaway. The rooms are clean and well-designed, and the upper level porch is amazing with comfy furniture for lounging and great views of the ocean. Highly recommend staying here if you’d like an upscale boutique hotel experience in the Atlantic City area while being in a quiet part of town!

We simply cannot say enough great things about Surrey Beach House! Beautifully decorated room, most comfy bed, perfect beach block location just steps from the boardwalk. Check in was a breeze. Keurig with pods and creamer so hand y . Beach tags completed the stay. We will be returning!!

There are brand new owners that have done a total renovation inside and out on this hotel and is absolutely gorgeous! I attended the open house and immediately booked. The attention to detail is incredible. Even the plants both in ground and in pots even have their own irrigation system. The quality of the furnishings is top notch. The bed was extremely comfortable. I love how close to the beach and boardwalk it is with an ocean view as well. The new owners and management were very nice and attentive. The area is beautiful and we were able to walk everywhere, especially on the boardwalk. I highly recommend this place.

Room was clean, must bring your own sheets, parking isn't bad, it's street only. Beach is right behind house for quick access. Not far from activities.

The beach house has a very small room of about 15*15, equipped with king size bed but no linen. The kitchenette has a low cabinet above the stove and no floor lamp which makes it too dark to cook at night. They definitely need to put some remodeling into the unit to make it more friendly and warm. Water is hot and bed is comfortable. The worst part that I had to give it only one star is that the hallway seems to smell smoke and some kind d of toxic snake that is. Repulsive especially for young children. It is right next to the beach however which is a plus for summer stays. Wasabi and a few Japanese restaurants are within two/three blocks. Visit my church Ichurch.nyc

Very clean facility. Lousy support staff. No one understands how the door locks work or check-in/check-out procedures. Very cramped unit (studio). Unit is for 4 has table that seats only 2. Could barely fit luggage in the room!!

Let me tell you something this was the second year I stayed here. Last year it was a nice cozy ,quaint place with a wonderful staff of people. But this year it was the worse place I every stayed . There was nobody that was staffing the place for the whole week. At check in we where given the keys by the rudest person and that was it. So many people who stayed here had so many different problems. Trash cans where left out after trash pick-up for 4 days. People who arrived later could not check in. One gentleman's key didn't work and was left outside for 4 hours. Just a horrible place to stay. There is no one managing this place, I seen no one for a entire week. The place smells its not clean and basically don't have any kind of problem or issue ,forget it your screwed. What a turn around it was awful, will not ever be back. Don't be fooled by any reviews from last summer , its a whole different place.
