My family started staying here for vacation in 2009 and it's our favorite vacation spot. Sadly, this year we found out that it's for sale, which is depressing since my husband passed away my son and myself still go yearly and rent an apartment for the week, which always makes us think about how much he loved it there. This year, they've upgraded all the appliances, which are beautiful new stainless steel, matching each other. The boardwalk is literally about 50 yards from the hotel and we love that everything we need is close by. Owners are family who run a beautiful, well-kept property ❤️. Hopefully, they will still be there for our next vacation 😀 😊. Thanks for a relaxing week, Cecelia and Pat! Update: the Tahiti Inn was sold, the website is not working yet and new owners already changed an important policy that may end our time staying there. The previous owners allowed a 72-hour window to cancel and still receive the majority of the deposit back. The new owners already did away with the safety net for consumers and it's a bad look if you want the constant business the previous owner had. Also, parking is no longer free, even for one vehicle and even if you paid $3k to stay for the week. The new owners want to charge us $10/day, almost an extra $100 bucks when it's always been free. Shame that you had to change the perfect spot and we won't be booking until the website is up and shows the property. My almost 16 yo son never vacationed anywhere else and it was my late husband's favorite place to stay. We will greatly miss the Gallini family 😓🤔 and already dislike the few changes I know about now 😢

To correct a recent few postings. The prices have gone up significantly yes. They charge $15/day for parking…..which was a bad look for Disney Land hotels/resorts and the Tahiti Inn/OCNJ isn’t Disney Land. Additionally they charge $10/day per child no matter how big your room/apt is…..also not a good look for “The Family Vacation Spot”. God knows what other new charges they have. Their response to an email was that’s their policy. The fact that all their apartments appear to be unbooked for the week in August we normally go says a lot about how the old every year customers feel.

Have been staying in the Tahiti Inn for more than 25 years. Loved the family owned service. Now that they’ve sold, the rates have doubled and they charge for parking! What a shame! Guess it’s time to go elsewhere.

LOCATION!!!!! I love the location & affordable price to be that close! We didn’t have any concerns for a beach motel, it offered what we needed for the this trip. The AC worked very well! Staff was friendly. I would come back as price was good to be on the boardwalk. We also got to check in a hour early so I was happy! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The only positive: location. Other than that this place is very dated and not very clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It’s hard to expect spotless rooms in a Jersey beach motel but it definitely could have been cleaner. We didn’t walk around barefoot in the apartment because if we did our feet turned black. We won’t be returning next year when we have an 8 month old who will be starting to crawl…

We stayed at The Tahiti Inn August 2021, it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was clean, comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well! The pool is very nice, The location is just one block to boards and beach where the kids surfed and parasailed.

We've been coming to the Tahiti Inn for almost 2 decades now. The rooms are always clean , the pool is refreshing and you're literally right behind Jilly's arcade at the 12th and ocean boardwalk.

Inn was dated but clean. However one week after staying there my credit card was hacked. RARELY use this card and this was first time in at least 6:8 months I did. I am very cautious and keep it for just such reasons. Concerned that their system was not secure I contacted them to let them know. Young person that answered phone cut me off mid sentence to get manager … Manager was rude, adamant that it was no way related to them said it was most likely my BANK?! Maybe, but I think not. As I said I RARELY use this card and surprising that after I use it there I promptly get hacked. There are so many ways to respond to someone. Rudeness in customer service isn’t the preferred path. I work in customer service and know this well. I would not recommend them for this reason. Thanks for the stay but we most likely will not be back . Can’t trust you with my money.

My parents have been going to this place for over 10 years now. We started joining them in 2017. We missed out of this place during the pandemic but was very happy that we were able to get back this year for the family vacation. Everyone here is very helpful, the rooms are always taken care of and its only 5 minutes to the beach. We plan on going again for many years to come.

The new manager and her staff are exceptional. They are so kind and friendly and will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great stay! The motel rooms continue to be completely spotless. I wish I could clean like that! LOL! The location is perfect, and there are no streets to cross in order to get to the boardwalk. We love the clean pool with the cute little waterfall. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Ocean City, New Jersey!

Honestly, the whole place looks like it stepped out of the 1970 but that is also some of its charm. The location cannot be beat!!!! The staff was attentive and very helpful. I would stay there again

We recently stayed here Website pictures gave us high hopes 400 a night got us good location but it’s downhill from there Very old musty room with black mold all inside a/c vents Room was clean for age of it guessing 1970 or so but we had a 19 inch tv. We would not recommend this place to anyone We couldn’t spend enough time outdoors Spring beds to go with the did I mention 400 a night tag We learned our lesson and will never trust a webpage again

The place was okay. The rooms were good... if you have a truck, there is basically no parking at all. We got into a fight&had to call the cops because an employee who was drinking by the way wouldn't move his car(he was right in front of the handicap parking) so when he did move it he only moved up a little which we still couldn't fit(we have a ram 2500) the cops came and told him to move he was parked illegally on sidewalk and blocking the spot. That is how we started our vacation, so I will NEVER stay here again. I'm giving an honest review the rooms were fine but the manager and employees were not helpful at all. The manager said he couldn't tell him to move...more like WOULDN'T. That ruined it for me. Good luck to anyone who has a truck😐

It was amazing, rooms were clean and spacious. It is right next to the boardwalk. Although the beds are horribly uncomfortable. It's not too bad if you sleep there for a week or more you get used to it.

Short walking distance to the boardwalk with a covered parking lot. The rooms look a bit dated but clean. You'll need a few quarters to pay for a bucket of ice. For $250 a night it's ok but more than that I'll try to look somewhere else.
