It's a good place for occasional hangouts and for some decent food. I found the ambience quite neat, spacious, and upscale. Sitting arrangements are very nice with ample space for six people to have lunch or dinner together in a single table. The main restaurant hall has been very well decorated and soothing to the eye. Highway Resort Bongaon was previously known as Bongaon Dhaba and I used to come here a lot because of the quality of the food and value for money they did provide. They would provide very good quality food at reasonable rates. Later the Bongaon Dhaba underwent a massive makeover and rechristened to Highway Resort Bongaon. Although the looks and ambience have improved manifold I couldn't say the same for the food quality as far as its taste is concerned. Earlier the taste of the food they served was to my liking but somehow that's not the same anymore, at least that's what I feel. Maybe the chef's changed here. Nevertheless, the food they serve now is not something I dislike. It's good though. But the one thing I like the most here is that they serve ample quantity of sliced onion and lemons complimentary with the food one orders. Regarding the staff, they still need more training and 'seasoning'. There are times when I had to search for them to give further orders, they would simply go into hiding literally. Overall, the experience was good and Highway Resort Bongaon did not disappoint.

Lovely place to be- in between Jorhat and Bokakhat. Beautiful, newly constructed premises. Spacious campus, good for kids. 2 Emu birds will keep u entertained! 😁

Bongaon Dhaba is a nice experience for us. The resort is designed beautifully and in a organised way. One can enjoy either for a day long or night stay. Beside cottage, arrangement for camping with all amenities are available too. There is a nursery, a fishery and Emo bird couple is an added attraction. Food stuff is tasty and resort staffs are well behaved.

Staff doesn't care, went there sat for 20 minutes, not even cleaning was done, menu wasn't served either. When tried to call waiters, nobody paid heed as if they are busy. Others were just sitting inside relaxing doing ultimately nothing. Such nice property. Worst staff.

Poor experience..they have too less staff.. and service is so so poor..makes u wait for more than an hr before they take order and another hour to prepare..highway side dhaba with such slow service is really best to avoid . The food is also of so so quality... especially avoid veg items.

The paneer tikka we ordered was burnt. The French fries were good. Matka biryani, rice dal and mixed veg was good. Service of the waiter is pathetic, no response no hospitality.

I am actually quite a shocked to see 3.8 star. We just had lunch today and everything is very good. From the location to cleaninies to food quantity to taste. Without checking internet, we decided to give it a tru while going to kaziranga. A most recommend place to eat and hangout as well. Just a suggestion, we are told that ₹500 would be extra charges, if we decide to eat in the cottage area. Which seems to be not justified. Many restaurants have given variety of ambiance for free. Apart from this, the place is most recommended to visit for. Go and try this dhaba.

Located in high way. With lot of parking lot in front of hotel and inside as well. Small and decent shop available in front of hotel. Many private hut available for service of food and drink. Taste was good. Value for money.

The variety of food is very nice. The taste of food was excellent. Nicely prepared. They took more time to cook, during the cooking time you can roam inside the restaurant. There is a nursery with a wide variety of plants. There is an ostrich bird. Lots of rooms made from bamboo. The bar is well decorated. By seeing all these and taking photos, food was ready. I really enjoyed that the veg and non veg menu is available here. A good crowd is approaching, an easy approach location on the highway.

The atmosphere is good but the service is below average. I interacted with two employees of the hotel, both were least bothered about the customer; one of them even plainly declined to serve the food. Had crispy chicken for starter, which was good; ordered chicken biryani (Kolkata style) for dinner and it was nothing more than fried rice that was served.

Food is not so good. They don't provide thali. You have to pay extra for everything. Surrounding is nice.

Tasty food, but seriously service needs improvement. Waiters aren't at all trained. Don't even think of dining in the cottages, cats will make your life hell, complained several times but restaurant authorities haven't taken any steps. I know this place for 15 years, things have deteriorated over time.

Great taste, try Chicken Hyderabadi , Mutton Roganjosh and dal tadka. You will not be disappointed!
