Could hear the staff openly talk about patients and not about the conditions. Check in person mocked me as I was in a panic telling them what was going on with my wife. He didn’t say anything, but rolled his eyes and mouthed wow. But still unprofessional and rude. 2 years ago wife had surgery here. After surgery I sat in the room, and I hear the doctor talking to the nurses saying my wife is a whiny person. If possible go to Allegheny General in Pittsburgh. They treat people much better. And at least don’t talk about them with in hearing distance.

Now that there are hospitals that provide “big city” care quite nearby, one can receive world class care without traversing winding hilly country roads. One can get care within a very short time. The wait for care at HVHS takes hours. The emergent care in these newer well equipped well staffed (with EXPERIENCED employees) hospitals literally occurs within minutes. Since there are TWO big city hospitals in Cranberry and many in Pittsburgh WHY would anyone go to a hospital that has eliminated so many essential services-Neurology-Rheumatology…..thé list goes in and on. If I could rate this hospital with a negative number I would. The staff does TRY hard to do a great job. The staff is trapped in a poorly equipped, poorly managed, understaffed and underpaid environment. Ergo many docs and staff literally left HVHS for the greatly improved hospitals previously mentioned-Particularly AGH and UPMC. Please do not Risk your life or the lives of your loved ones by seeking care at HVHS. I’m embarrassed that I spent most of my working time at this now defunct hospital. Based in my personal, well versed medical knowledge, experiences I am genuinely concerned for the lives of anyone entering the doors of this horrible medical provider! Please do not Risk your very life.

Let's add even more negative reviews to this joke of a hospital. Went there today with severe stomach pain. They insisted that I just get pepto and it was acid related, which I knew it wasn't, and they refused to administer any pain medication nor give a ct scan, so I walked out. Called 911 once at home and requested an ambulance. Ambulance arrives and i immediately say i do not want to be taken to the med center because presby is my hospital and the med center doesn't do much with my particular health condition. They advise that they have to take me to the closest hospital, it's policy now due to "insurance",and they aren't a taxi. So, medic rescue is now clearly padding the hospitals profits. I came to UPMC presby, and they just informed me that I have a ruptured ulcer and the emergency surgery team is currently on their way to see me. HERITAGE VALLEY NEEDS SHUT DOWN!!

Ignorant slow paced time wasting nurses. Many major mistakes made on iv lines left in too long. Incredulous convoluted schedules that are put forth and not adhered to for serious post surgery pain meds ordered by surgeon. Patient left on their own hours on end in there room completely helpless. Nurses and aides are more concerned with sugar checks and pulsox status than to ask and get help for very real and substantial problems

I am posting as an employee to any potential employee out there. Job positions are being eliminated here and are not being replaced. You will be expected to take on the workload of multiple people. However the biggest issue here is wage theft. I have not had a lunch break at this hospital once yet it is deducted from my pay each pay period since "the time clock deducts it automatically". Working through lunches is illegal in PA.

When the reviews say don’t go here, DON’T GO! I fractured my ankle and went there for my orthopedic consult. They “didn’t see a fracture” and gave me a walking boot for a sprain. Well, I got a copy of my X-rays and there is a clear as day avulsion fracture of my lateral malleolus. No doctor even looked at the X-rays with me. Overall, very very disappointed as I drove over an hour to be seen here to leave with wrong results. I should’ve been on crutches still, and I could have made it worse by walking. Going to a different doctor for a second opinion.

My husband takes me in here at 7:30 am and no other people waiting. I am potentially having a stroke, and the lady Tells me to sit down, that we'll be with you shortly. Ten minutes felt like an hour. Anyone knows time is of the essence when it comes to a stroke. Thankfully, I was transferred to another hospital.

ER Doctors are a joke. Dr AGGY. Took my 10 month old there in the middle of the night for what turned out to be RSV and the dr did not even listen to her or check her at all! If a baby has RSV and is in the ER for abnormal breathing and cough on advice from her pediatrician to go, I would think a simple listen to her lungs is in order. He had the nurse do the swabs (which is normal) and just came later to tell us the results.. 30 min after the nurse already told us. Nurse was super nice, she should be the one getting the dr salary. I would have been better off going to medexpress but it was 3 am

I delivered my baby there 6 months ago. I had good and bad experiences. The good was for sure and followed by a huge THANK YOU to Karlee Musgiure and Sam Weiss. These two helped so incredibly much and went out of their way to comfort me during a really rough delivery. I will never forget your great work and humanity. The staff (besides a couple exceptions but they are everywhere) is very nice and tried everything that I can deliver my baby naturally...I came in as an emergency and we tried different positions and pushing for hours with no success and then tried vacuum and ended up in an emergency C-section. But the staff tried everything to comfort me during my whole stay. The hospital is very clean and pretty at least what I saw. And the location in the green is beautiful. The bad: I felt unheard and ignored a lot. Although I made it clear that I wanted delayed cord clamping and my placenta, they ignored it...While being in labor the doctor filled out my paper that i don't want the placenta ad he wanted me to sign and i said that i do want to keep it and he said i shall sign now and he'll change it back...he never did. I was super cold during labor and couldn't stop shaking, so the anesthesiologist pinned me down to get my blood pressure but he pinned me on my IV( i told him that it hurts but he ignored me and said he needs my blood pressure) and i couldn't move my wrist for months as a result. I thought about talking to an attorney for that and suing the anesthesiologist and also mentioning the incident with my placenta and delayed cord clamping which is even with a cesarean possible as i was informed later. I already missed the birth I wanted and that made it even worse. Also when I was in the O.R and we still tried naturally birth I layed on my back and I couldn't breathe...the epidural and my baby pressing on my organs and me pushing...I panicked and said I need to get up or at least lay on my side...no one reacted or helped...worst was the anesthesiologist who acted like I was exaggerating. Later he admitted to my husband that i probably couldn't breathe because of the epidural and my position. If they would have listen to me to get off my back I might have been able to deliver naturally but I slowly got unconscious and weak and so they had to do a cesarean. I didn't even get to see my baby till later. The food is awful and not really any options for people with allergies or vegan diets or anything healthy and fresh. If they would listen a little more to their patients and respect their wishes (like Kalee and Sam, again thank you two so much) and get a better menu with more fresh food for people with different diets, then I would give 5 stars.

They were the worst people in the world to take care of someone who was literally in help, and they talked about you at the nurse's station. People hear you never again, will I ever Will I ever go to there again? Unless I'm absolutely dying? And then maybe not they are the worst.

They just want to rush you out the door doesn’t listen to the chief complaint the physician was extremely rude bad attitude and no bed side manner was told by the physician that he would keep me here all night because he tried to discharge me with out checking my chief complaint and when I asked nicely he got upset I wouldn’t bring my dog here to get care vets treat animals better than this physician did if you hate your job or can’t handle it get out the field I have been in healthcare for many years and I never treat my patients this way but if I came here in my scrubs we would have had better care it’s been proven that if I come in scrubs we get the most care but in street clothes we are treated like scum.

I went to the ER last night because I was unable to put any weight on my right leg without excruciating pain. At each step, I encountered extremely caring, professional individuals. From registration to Ultrasound to X-ray, I was impressed by each interaction. Personable, knowledgeable and caring is an apt description of all involved. I did not get everyone's name, but Sue, Michelle and Ron were 3. I have always been happy with my treatment at the hospital, but last night was off the.charts! Thank you all and keep it up!

302 here is bad. They will hold you screw up your meals, and even if being in there means your bills fall behind, they still try holding you. Like a stable home to go home to is kind of imprtant. The dr. Here are freaking dumb.

The emergency room is a joke. Here from 12:31- still here at 3:31 with no answers . Listening to nurses laugh and talk at the desk. Maybe try taking care of your patients instead of socializing!!!

Update to my review: someone from the hospital called to apologize, that meant a lot to my family as my cousin and a really rough day again. I was able to visit today and he has a really nice set of nurses looking after him, so I do feel the person I interacted negatively with was a bad apple. Thank goodness it’s not everyone. I proceed with caution but appreciate the hospital at least acknowledging me. Thank you to the staff that did care about what happened. OG Post: I would give zero stars if I could after my experience today. Our family was asked by my aunt to come visit my autistic cousin in the hospital, who they just found cancer in who was undergoing surgery yesterday. He’s not in ICU, just general admission and there was still plenty of visiting time left in the day, especially as I was only going to stop in for a half hour anyway to give him some items of comfort. I have visited this hospital many times before and my cousin had only been placed in a room today, so my aunt didn’t text me the room number so I stopped at the front desk to check in and ask for the room number like I thought was the norm for most hospitals and which was how I had done it in the past at this facility. Instead, the young front desk woman very aggressively and rudely starts questioning me with an attitude of suspiciousness, asking did my cousin himself explicitly tell me to visit,(NO, because he’s AUTISTIC and has communication issues and I don’t even think he has a phone!) and then why didn’t he give me the room number if he really wants me to visit. Then she got angry and lectured me how she won’t be able to look his room up because that would be a HIPPA violation. Confused because I was under the Impression that HIPPA laws are regarding patients confidential medical information, which is not at all what I was asking for—not something like a room number, so I mentioned I’ve had rooms looked up at the desk before she continued on insisting that then the person who helped me before broke the law and that there was nothing more to do about it. Completely embarrassed I left, and will not be back again, thanks so much for making my poor, and in pain autistic cousin sit alone all day on one of the worst days of his life; now he’s gonna sit alone all week, which I’m sure will just be so great for his healing 😡 Shame on this hospital, but especially Shame on the front desk staff person here. Go to AHN Wexford instead, it’s brand new, the staff at the desk are awesome and I’ve never had a bad time there, even for the extra drive time it’s better than this place, judging from the reviews I’m not the first person this has happened to either.

Waited for 2 hours to see a doctor. CT scan we waited another 3 hours. Covid diagnosis none of the nursing staff or the physician wore protective personal equipment. Which has the potential of cross contamination to other patients and staff. Lack of infectious disease protocols. Not enforced.

Yesterday, I was surprised how fast the emergency room treated me. I couldn’t breathing, and I was totally lost not knowing what was going on with me. I have just left my primary doctor who refused to see me. Panic because I thought I was losing my mind also, very scared after the bad experience from the primary doctor. They took me immediately, they made me feel I was worthy, they explained everything to me and they were very patient with me since I had not control of my emotions. Thank you 🙏 for treating me like a human being, for the patient, and the psychiatrist nurse thank you too.

We really appreciate all the healthcare workers at Heritage Valley. They are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT individuals and always provide quality care to our families and neighbors in Beaver County (despite not having enough staff). THANK YOU for all you do and don’t give up! YOU ARE APPRECIATED IMMENSELY.

I had to go to the er. I was there for quite a while but the bad part was they would take me back for a few tests then sit me back in the waiting room. This process went on for a few cycles. I was actually getting my test results before anyone even talked to me on the Follow My Health app. Some of the results are a little concerning but I guess I’ll never know. I was there most of the day and finally left. I even told them I was having a hard time breathing and it was causing my chest to hurt. The receptionist said she’d let them know. 2 and 1/2 hours later, I left. Super nice people but their system is a joke.

My mother spent 5 days in Heritage Valley Beaver in Rm 145. She was discharged Sunday night. Heritage Valley Beaver is the nicest hospital I and my family have ever been to. The nurses and doctors are the best we've ever dealt with. Extremely friendly and patient and professional. I want to thank them for how awesome they are.
