While out for a drive on this beautiful Saturday afternoon, we stopped in Zanesville, Ohio. Serendipity is not a word I use often but today, it definitely applies. Dwayne, the owner/chef has put together all the training his father and culture gave him into an amazing culinary explosion gastronomic delights. My wife ordered, Goat curry. I ordered the beef Oxtails, both came with a side of rice and cabbage also ordered a side of plantains. Both dishes were absolutely amazing! The curry was just perfect, it wasn't overpowering and the meat perfectly cooked. The oxtail meat was falling of the bone, the sauce was so delicious. We definitely plan to go back. BTW, we ordered Irish Moss for our drinks, wow. That was also fantastic.

I finally found Ox Tail and they actually gave it!! The owner is such a nice man. He took the time to carry a conversation with me, and answered all my questions about his restaurant. The ox tail was amazingly delicious!! The cabbage and bean and rice were yummy too! I really enjoyed the passionfruit juice. Too bad that I don't live nearby, or I would frequent this restaurant more often.

My boyfriend and I stopped here hungry, and thought it was interesting we could grab some Caribbean food on our trip. We ordered the jerk chicken, and sides of fried plantains and banana fritters. The food was delicious. It was cooked perfectly. Everything seemed to be authentic and made there. The plantains were caramelized and mouthwatering, and the jerk chicken was absolutely amazing. The banana fritters were phenomenal. The rice was really different (in the most pleasant way) and went well with the food, and it seemed to have been rinsed well. There was one person working; I think it was the owner. He worked quickly and clearly did a very good job preparing the food. I have ZERO complaints about this place. The atmosphere was also very laid back. I live over an hour away, and I can say with confidence I will be a repeat customer here. I very strongly recommend Tapa’s!

Wow! Just wow!!! I always love finding hidden gems and this was one of them! I got the oxtail and fried plantains and it was awesome!!! Easily top 10 places I’ve ever been too! I wish it was closer to me or else I’d be a regular. Thank you for sharing a bit of your culture and for an amazing meal!

Coming thru town and wanted something local and different. Found both things at Tapas Caribbean Kitchen. We both had the jerk chicken and thought it was delicious!! It came with rice and beans and cabbage and I can't say enough about the cabbage. It was also wonderful. I also added a side of baked Mac and cheese and loved it. The jerk chicken is spicy, but the kind that builds slowly and doesn't overwhelm the flavors. If you don't like spicy, he also offers curry chicken a chicken stew. Give this place a try!!

Fantastic authentic Caribbean food!! We were in town for an opening exhibit at the Zanesville art museum and chose this spot for supper. Best meal out I have had in quite some time - everythingis made from scratch. The snapper was spiced perfectly and you must try the fried plantains or the sweet potato pudding for dessert...we even took some to go

My parent, my kids, and I stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and we’re so delighted by our meal. Seriously flavorful and complex, meats were tender, great community vibe. We will make many more trips up from Athens for a lunch here.

Always amazing food, quick service, and large selection of pop flavors. The food is so great you can smell it walking down the sidewalk. This trip we got the goat curry (left) and jerk chicken (right) and both were delicious.

Best ever Ox 🐂 tails, l have ever had in any state that l have traveled to. And I'm all over the country for work. This clean friendly atmosphere hole in wall beats any Carribean style restaurant in the country hands down.

Best place to eat in town. Handmade food and drinks. Great owner and waitress. Try handmade Hibiscus juice. Curry and Jerk chicken was delicious. Best Cole slaw I ever ate. Great flavor in all the food. Will be back!

Ordered takeout. Order filled quickly and with great customer service. Love everything I tried (goat curry, fried plantains, meat hand-pie, ginger beer). Be aware that goat meat has some small bones. It's oh-so-tasty but you'll have to check it thoroughly before offering any to small children. The meat pie has a bit of a zippy spice. Yum! The ginger beer tastes like it was freshly made with a nice ginger bite. Worth trying out. (Btw, the photos were taken once I had plated my food, at home.)
