We ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, pretzels, shepherd’s pie, as well as a beer and pom margarita. OH MY WORD. I dunno if it’s the Scotsirish blood in me, but this was excellent food, probably my favorite of our whole mini vacation. The shepherd’s pie was particularly delicious and it paired SO WELL with the Pomegranate Margarita (savory plus tart…) which was as strong as it was tasty!! We will definitely be back.

Can't go wrong with an Irish pub. The food was delicious and the staff was great. Had lunch and went back for dinner.

We visited on Labor Day weekend with Dragon Con crowds so it was likely busier than normal. Food served on paper plates with plastic utensils - not sure if that’s normal everyday or for this special weekend. We were both pleased with our entrees - bangers and mash ; grilled chicken sandwich with fries.our server was nice It was a bit warm in there which I knocked off a point for - felt like the a/c wasn’t on or just wasn’t working efficiently

We had great time in here! Our bartender, Nick, was amazing! He changed the tv channel so we can watch the ball game. He made great food recommendations. I had the Shepard pie which was awesome! My husband had chicken tenders and my friend got sandwich. They were both very happy with their food. I saw Nick getting a very specific drink order and doing his best to please the customer. Overall, we had a great experience and will come back when we visit Atlanta again!

Food is really good, but this is absolutely a sports bar - don't come here if you're just trying to grab something to eat with a local pub/quiet pub atmosphere I got a sandwich with sweet potato fries. Food was really good, service was alright, nothing special. Quick and efficient. Bar is loud- I made the mistake of coming during a football game. My fault, but damn it was a Monday and people were cranky, drunk, upset at the game. That's all fine fine, but jeeze I just wanted to eat something in peace. I probably should've come by on a Tuesday.

The decor is amazing. Most of the decor is actually from Ireland. We started the night with margaritas and fried pickels. Fried golden delicious little pieces of heaven. We shared 2 plates. Bangers and mash and shepherds pie. No shortcuts here.. made from scratch... yum yum.

On a business trip saying at the hotel indigo block away and ventured out to this establishment after a recommendation from a few friends. This place was nothing special. The food appetizers service were all pretty average. The atmosphere and the bar was impressive but I do not feel that the owners would appreciate you stopping buy to take pictures and not partake of their whares. We wanted to try the Ruben egg rolls sorry sold out. We settled for the pretzels which were nothing more than frozen concession stand fare. I had the Ruben which I equate to the market fresh sandwich from arby, and the Mrs has the fish and chips. Fish was very good slaw was a bust and the chips were typical frozen bagged fries. This place could be special but the microwave and preprepped food are just the minimum. A little more effort and this place could be really nice. ⭐⭐⭐ At best

Maybe this place was great once, but $10 for a Stella? $24 for a shepherds pie... Ya no. Flat beer. Very flat... Buddies mixed drink was fruity... It was just bourbon... Glasses weren't clean. Only good beer was in a can. Left half way through taking our orders, I've definitely been to way better Irish bars. Sorry.

Laid back environment but i loved it. The music wasn’t too loud where you can’t hear what the other person is saying. Like the ambiance and crowd. Friendly staff with good service. Perfect food quality and delicious food. Don’t miss the Shepherd’s pie, it’s must have. Delicious house nachos with chicken and chocolava cake with ice cream. The only issue is parking, it’s in downtown so expected that however the nearest parking lot was full and we had to park away 5 minutes walking. Tip - come early to find parking spot!

I love the dark, cozy pub vibe here. Had a half and half, a Guinness, fried pickles, Reuben eggrolls, and fish and chips. The eggrolls were sooo good. Only complaint would have been the fries were cold but I was too full to eat them anyways.

Would have given this cozy pub 5 stars on the food but since last year, it's changed. Truffle Mac and Cheese was like a box of Kraft with a little more flavour; Fish and chips were scaled down. Everything was served on paper plates and knives and forks were replaced with plastic packages and plastic forks. Don't get me wrong, there's probably some brilliant cost-cutting plan that brought these changes about, but it just felt cheap and corner-cutting, but still a relatively high price tag for less food, but cheaper experience. Maybe the next visit they'll have seen the err of their ways and adjusted course.

This place used to be good, but now it is just sad and depressing. $40 for a salmon Cesar salad, one drink plus tip is ridiculous. At that price you hope to get a decent meal, but my salmon is fishy and it seriously looks like it was pre cooked and then reheated in the fryer. Who does that?!?! It came out so fast it was clear that it had been precooked and reheated, but why reheat it in the fryer? People who order salmon are looking for a healthier option. I wonder how many calories are added... The lettuce us yellow and old and the Cesar dressing tastes old and for somec reason they added dijon mustard to it?

I happened upon Meehan’s while in Atlanta today. The service was swift, staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the fish and chips which were delicious - the only thing I would say is that the batter on the fish could do with seasoning - salt and pepper, and perhaps a little more Guinness for flavour. There was a great selection drinks-wise, and the prices were reasonable. I had my meal and two drinks. Overall a great way to spend my lunch time. What made my DAY was seeing that the Shepherd’s pie had LAMB in it, which is the meat used in a traditional Shepherd’s pie. Usually what is actually a Cottage pie, using ground beef, is advertised as a Shepherd’s pie. But Meehan’s got it spot on. Thank you for exceeding expectations!

We got in late and after a long day of traveling and wanted to grab a quick bite before heading back to the hotel. Walked into Juke Joint and decided the music was too loud. We're glad we walked a few more steps and chose Meehan's. We were seated right away at a quiet booth. The basketball games were on TV. We ordered the nachos to share (good portion) and I had the Grilled salmon with salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly, a bit salty…maybe it was the capers. I loved the green beans and spinach. Crunchy and fresh! Our waitress checked in from time to time. Good food and service! Highly recommend.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted and seated immediately. Upon being seated, our waiter came took our initial orders. Shortly after, we placed our entree orders. However, the food took significantly longer than expected. We ordered the Mac and cheese, Georgia peach salad with salmon and a side of Brussels sprouts. The Mac and cheese was room temperature and bland. The Brussels sprouts were flavourless. The salad and fish were average. After receiving our food, we didn’t see our waiter much. This carried through to when we finished dinner and had to wait a considerable amount of time before asking for the cheque. Overall, I wouldn’t come here again for food. I believe they had a drinks special of 2 shots for $10 (cash only). For a pub, maybe I’d reconsider.

A very nice location right in midtown, extremely nice waitress and well decorated location. The food was amazing and very well made, three of us had fish and chips and one of us had a burger, all very delicious. The woman's bathroom was really neat that it had chalkboard walls allowing you to write on them. My only complaint has to be the side hallway where we were sitting was extremely dark and made it hard to see. Otherwise a great location, great food, and great staff!

Exactly what we were hoping for. Casual friendly atmosphere with super efficient and prompt staff. Bangers and mash, fish and chips along with chicken mashed potatoes, rosemary gravy and the best ever Brussel sprouts. Creme Brule cheesecake for dessert that was all it sounds like. Please know the beer selection is top notch also.

I accidentally left my phone/wallet on the table with over $100 cash in it. When I got back to my hotel room I released my mistake and went back to the pub and my wallet was safe guarded by the bartender just as I left it. All of my cash and credit cards were in place. Honest and trustworthy establishment. Highest recommendation.

We went here while traveling for a work trip. There are communal tables on the patio. I told the waitress there were more people coming possibly 9 people. There was a note on the menu that said they would do 1 check for a groups of 8 or more. Before we ordered I asked the waitress if we could do separate checks as we were on a business trip and needed separate checks. She told me there was no problem to do this. There were many witnesses to this conversation. When we went to pay they gave one check. I reminded the waitress of our conversation. She went to the manager but never came back. When I talked to the manager he told me the waitress told him that she did not tell me that. She looked intimidated by the manager. When I explained that we would have gone somewhere else or sat separately to receive the separate bill then he threatened to call the police on me. I would never ever go here again. I have never been threatened by a restaurant manager for requesting a separate bill. The bill was not even correct to begin with.

I've been here for the last 9yrs the drink was never $8.46 for a draft beer? This place just lost a faithful customer! Wish I could take a pic of the copy. Next place is Hooter or Hardrock!!!

Great Bar, Great Service. However, these guys could be sued for false advertising on the Entree dish, Pan Roasted Chicken. The Brussel sprouts were awesome, Mashed potatoes were OK, if not a bit watery. But the chicken was white chunk of warmed meat straight out of the Cysco bag with brown "water" gravy poured on top. If not for the salt in the "gravy" that meat would have been absolutely flavorless. To be fair, I looked at a lot of the other dishes served to those around me. They looked great and everyone I asked liked them. So go to Meehans Public House. Just don't order the "Pan Roasted Chicken".

We had the worst, strangest experience here. Walked in around 5:00 on a Saturday, seated immediately. Ordered a signature cocktail, it was served in a wine glass? and tasted awful. I mentioned how bad it was to the waiter and he said "i'm sorry," and just walked away. We ordered the chicken tender appetizer, and it was supposed to come with honey mustard. There was no sauce, when we asked for it, the waiter tried to charge us an additional price, not realizing it is included on the menu. At this point, we were so unimpressed with our experience, we decided to grab dinner elsewhere. My friend and I split the bill, each paying cash. The waiter left with our money, and didn't come back with any change or a receipt. The manager came and checked on us since we hadn't left yet, and we told her we never received our change or a receipt. It was almost $20 between the both of us. She said she would check on that and get back to us. Instead, she went and hung out at the hostess stand and ignored our glances. Our waiter starts helping a nearby table, so we flagged him down and asked him for our change and a receipt. He came back a few minutes later and said they are out of small bills and he cannot give us our change back, but handed us our bill- NOT a receipt of purchase- and we walked out. Also, he charged us a fee for the honey mustard that was included with the appetizer. Really standup guy. Completely incompetent staff, terrible drinks, can't guarantee they oblige by the menu. We were there for over an hour, when it only took about 15 minutes to finish our drinks and appetizer. The only thing this place has is cool decor. Worst restaurant experience in my entire life. I felt like we were in an episode of the Twilight Zone.

Food was bland, fish looked good but needed salt and pepper, the house chips had no flavor, no salt and pepper at the tables, rueben egg rolls good, lobster bisque had to much sherry wine, ambiance was great, our server was nice, but gave us the check while we were still eating, felt like we were being pushed out the door, won't be back

  • 2/5 C D. 1 year ago on Google
I don't drink so I was only there for the food. I got a salad spinach and shepherd's pie. They each came ready-made and the spinach had burned garlic in it. The salad was out of the bag if I remember right with watered down ranch dressing. The shepherd's pie had hard peas or something in it with a hearty topping of what I could only describe as fake tasting mashed potatoes. If I was getting what I paid for it would be cheap. I'm glad it was a company paid meal. It did look like a fun place to drink though!

This is a great bar located just next to the Westin. Definitely come here instead of the hotel bar. Far more affordable and a much better atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Erin B. 1 year ago on Google
In town for an event at the Westin and decided to give this a try. Party of 7. Service was great, food was tasty, and atmosphere was fun. The food is basic stuff, not fancy (we didn't want fancy), but excellent. Great comfort food. Prices aren't bad either. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Checked out Meehan's when I was in town for a convention last week. The place was really nice and had a good pub vibe. Our waiter was a little flighty and not fully paying attention but generally nice and gave us good recommendations. I tried the drink special, Cathead Honeysuckle Blue, it was pretty good. I loved the truffle mac & cheese and added lobster to it to make it even better. Overall I would recommend checking this place out!

It’s an Irish pub. Why did I order nachos lol? Anyway they were ok, the chips are super thin, but seemed like they didn’t skimp on chicken. I guess for an Irish bar they were pretty good, just nothing to seek out. It’s convenient, they have Guinness, I’ll probably be back.
