I relocated from another city and was fed so many lies from the office staff. My friend was shown a completely different apartment than the one that was leased to me. The same day I moved my belongings there was the same day I turned in a 60-Day Notice to move! It is complete trash, literally and figuratively! The place looks nothing like the photos online! I donā€™t even feel safe going to the apartment that is being leased to me. I always take a friend with me and go during daylight! There is no way that people are even remotely giving this place higher than a 1 star and honestly I would give it a 0 if I could! I am pretty positive that some people are either being dishonest about their reviews or the review was meant for another apartment complex with a very similar name. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE! Save yourself, your family, your money, and your peace! Update: the only concerns you all have tried to address is ā€œrefinishingā€ that disgusting looking bathtub. Outside of that no other issues have tried to be resolved. You all literally blamed me for moving into a classic place instead of the premium place - how is that addressing anything? I was shown one place and was leased another. I also have plenty of receipts to prove that outside of the bathtub nothing else has been addressed. This place shouldnā€™t meet anyone standards! All the residents that live there deserve better!

I've gone through so many reviews and even with new staff it's not really helping. I've been here a month and the only thing that was fixed was my mailbox. They still never answer their phones. Never return messages. ALWAYS CLOSED even though their sign on the door says otherwise. The two women that are in the office regularly are RUDE RUDE RUDE. EDIT: To the comment below made by the apartment complex. The office is open 10am-5pm. The office is CLOSED from 11am-1pm. I've gone to the office several times only to be turned away by the security guard. As for not having any records?? YOU KEEP CLOSING OUT THE WORK ORDERS. That's OK though. It's in Code Enforcements hands now. To those still experiencing issues? Call Coding Enforcement. They will come out and inspect your apartment. Then the complex have 30 days to fix what is broken or get fined. It's a shame that you have to resort to this in order to get things done.

DON'T MOVE HERE! I moved in 13 days ago and I noticed my AC unit wasn't working I called and called and called and been calling daily. Today it'll be 92 degrees outside, it gets hotter inside this apartment. Everyday they say how they only have 1 maintenance worker...... I'm supposed to care when no one cares about how I get my rent, only that I get it. It's not worth wasting your money. I've lived in projects here and it wasn't as dirty and I NEVER had to wait more than a few days to get anything fixed....and they were low income projects. I'm looking to move. No should have to go through this when in my lease it states you provide this. I'm looking into what I can do.

I moved here June of 2021. Since then Iā€™ve made a list of reasons why I would not recommend this complex. Unless itā€™s an absolute last resortā€¦ 1. Rental office never answers the phone. Best way to contact is email, and even then it takes 2-3 days. 2. The water will be shut off throughout various points of the day, sometimes without notice. 3. The upkeep of the rental office seems more important than the upkeep of the residentsā€™ apartments. 4. I have not received mail in over a year due to my mailbox being marked as vacant. Iā€™ve sent numerous notifications and called different times with no success. 5. Iā€™ve been threatened with eviction even though Iā€™ve always paid rent on time/early. 6. Not a safe area to live in. In the lease, they state there is a ā€œno criminal activityā€ policy. There have been a number of crimes committed, and nothing has been done to make it better. 7. The entire complex is full of potholes. 8. When it rains, the complex driving in will be flooded. 9. I requested to have my AC fixed in my unit back in April. Since then, Iā€™ve had no contact or updates, outside of when I contacted them myself. I still to date do not have it fixed. Overall, the only good thing about this place is that you can live here. But you get what you pay for. Again, donā€™t move here unless its an absolute last resort. My lease is up June 2023, and Iā€™m counting down the days. And to the owner that is responding to all these reviews, do not reply to me. Iā€™m not interested in what youā€™re trying your best to do, or how youā€™re trying to make things better. Do not ask me to contact your office either. Have your office contact ME if youā€™re truly interested in righting your wrongs.

I want to move into these apartments because they are so convenient for me and my children. I catch the #5 to work so I only would have to catch one bus. And I'll be back in time to get my children of the bus from school. And honestly..it's not WHERE you live it's HOW you live. I stay to myself and I'm a single mother of 3. Just want a place to call HOME! I just don't wanna waste my money on app fees...if I know for a fact I wouldn't get accepted. I'm in DESPERATE NEED of a roof over our head. My mother just passed so now it's just me and my kids. I really would love to become an new VERY CLEAN , NICE, RESPECTABLE tenant

This is a horrible place to live. There are pest in the apartments, shootings pretty much everyday, the leasing office doesnā€™t keep simple promises such as to handle the pest (roaches, cats, raccoons) problem and maintenance barely ever comes out to help.

I would recommend checking out the complex. I was hesitant based on the reviews but was pleasantly surprised when given a tour. The complex has beautiful mature trees. You can hear all the birds and in turn very peaceful from my experience. It is next to Big Walnut Creek which is nice. I did not see much trash like I had expected. I was told there's new management and it looks like they've really picked up the area. I would have loved to sign a lease but there are no washer/dryer hookups which is big for me.

EVERYTHING about The Commons at Waterā€™s Edge is definitely COMMON!!! From serious unaddressed maintenance issues, to the CONTINUOUS flooding throughout the property, to the UNPROFESSIONAL office staff, to the ā€œBarney Fifeā€ security, to the supposed SET rent, which somehow fluctuates monthly by $50 to $80, supposedly due to excess charges for water, trash, and sewer, billed to the complex, then passed onto each resident, with NO way of the residents verifying! As for the supposed 24 hr ā€œsecurity,ā€ which per the rental office, isnā€™t security, ā€œtheyā€™re actually here for asset protection.ā€ WHY then are renters and potential renters being told/sold that there is 24 hour security?! They DO NOT patrol ANYTHING other than the desk they occupy inside the leasing office, with their remaining 16 to 17 hours spent in their vehicles parked, and/or talking/playing on their phones. THIS place is honestly a quagmire of unlawful, intentionally deceptive, and unfair business practices, and should have a class action lawsuit after 25 to 30 years of these same issues. The city of Columbus, Code Enforcement, CPD, and the courts are WELL AWARE!!! At this point, I believe theyā€™re alllllll in cahoots, and guilty of colluding to deceive and profit off the people!
