Amazing!! This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and Jake the host/owner has set the bar ridiculously high. He was so polite and welcoming from the moment we pulled up. He made us feel right at home and that's exactly how it felt, homey. Comfortable beds and the sound of the frogs and nature in the woods with the windows open, puts you right to sleep. It was cute, clean and comfortable with a wonderful breakfast and gracious host. We highly recommend and will be staying there whenever we're in town!!

My mom, my sister and I stayed here one night while visiting the Ohio State Reformatory for ghost hunting. This was such a cool and unique place! Our host, Jake, was so great and accommodating when we showed up later than expected. We had everything we needed for our stay, and the rooms/bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast he made in the morning was awesome! And overall it was a great experience. I'd stay here again!

We loved our stay at The Safe House! Jake is a wonderful host and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. It was clean and smelled fantastic. The home itself is a work of art - beautiful with lots of history. We enjoyed one of the local beers from the fridge while sitting outside on the lovely grounds [and really enjoyed the special visit from the two cats 😊] Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely return to this unique b&b!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Safe House! I can't say enough about it! Jake was the perfect host...so personable and warm. The Safe House is a historical gem and the grounds are so peaceful and serene. We loved walking the wooded trails. I can't say I have ever had a more delicious breakfast - French Toast Croissant with fruit and the best maple syrup. Watching Jake prepare our food was fun since I myself love to cook! I think we will definitely pay another visit to the Safe House!

Clean, lovely home. The host, his wife and children were so hospitable and approachable. The view from the Alexander Room was breath taking, the room absolutely glowed in the sunset. Breakfast was made by our host that morning. I very much intend to recommend everyone who asks me about The Safe House to book their stays!

My husband and I had a weekend getaway at the Safe House and it was great! Jake, our host, was so cool, it was like staying the weekend with a close friend. We had 2 awesome breakfasts and you can't beat the ambience. The guest room was beautiful and the mattress was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Their puppy, Epic was adorable and loved getting pats from us!

My husband and I recently stayed at The safe house (The ZAYNE room) for 1 night in celebration of our anniversary. The house is beautiful, our room was so cozy, the attached barhroom was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and Jake had multiple pillow options to ensure a sound sleep. The safe house is close enough to town and many restaurants/activities but far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet that their property offers. The breakfast was delicious. The resident dog (epic) is also quite sweet. We enjoyed her greeting upon arrival. We 10/10 recommended The Safe House and will definitely be staying again if/when we are back in the area.

First, breakfast was delicious but... after our visit we determined that a bed & breakfast isn't our style. The historical house itself was neat but disappointed that the innkeeper & family live in newer rooms adjoining the main structure. We awoke to sounds of a child running and hollaring in living spaces downstairs which we were told were exclusively for guests. There was thick dust on the ceiling fan. And inconvenient that our bathroom was down the hall. There were other issues but this review is already too long.
