Food came reasonably quickly despite the place being full. Flavours were really nice and portions were generous. Overall nice atmosphere and can have a good time with a bunch too.

You would never imagine that in the middle of a residential area you would be able to find an establishment of such high caliber when it comes to food, but they have absolute nailed it here. Coming from Melbourne for a holiday we were going out for dinner and the Mediterranean popped up as an option. The menu looked good and had a lot of options for those with intolerances (as required in the family), from the moment we called to book the quality of service was on display and shone throughout the entire experience. On top of that we were treated to a great range of local and non-local drinks, as well as some amazingly high quality (not to mention incredibly generously sized) meals. It was a pleasure to have dinner here and will no doubt be back the moment we cross the border once again.

Amazing food and amazing service. Found out about this place from a friend as we normally don't go out of the way to this area. Worth the drive there. We visited on a busy Friday night and ended waiting a bit for our food. According to the friendly staff Elliot, Thurs, Friday and Saturday nights are very busy while Sunday is more of a hit and miss. We may go back on a Tues or Wed night to enjoy other dishes. Loved the Paella, steak, warm chicken caesar salad and the desserts. We noticed a lot of pizzas were going out the take away window on the night. I reckon we will give the pizza and lamb dishes a try next time.

Thought we were heading out for a casual family dinner at 5:30pm, and was blown away! Amazing food, great wine list. Service was wonderful! I even tried my toddlers chicken nuggets and they were good 😅 Everyone on the table happy with their meals, hope to get there again!

We stayed at Adelaide for 6 nights and visited this restaurant the first night. The dishes were so good and we visited there at the last night we stayed with my friends. They liked it too.

We have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years. Exceptional every time however tonight for my birthday was disappointing.The only reason for coming was the crab pasta, tonight the pasta was over cooked, and the tomato in the sauce was so under ripened it was crunchy throughout the sauce. I had to ask for salt which I hate doing as a chef myself if 20 yrs it was so under seasoned it was terrible. Not one staff member asked me how my food was. Pretty disappointed tonight to be honest.

All our dishes were plated well, fresh and delicious. Front of house staff (Peter) were quite courteous and attentive. Arguably the best Italian in Glenelg if not the entire western suburbs. We'll be back for sure, especially for a special occasion.

My friend and I went here twice in one week - once for coffee, and once for a late lunch . The coffee is good - they use Rio , but they have their own blend made for them . Very chocolaty/ caramel notes - I must admit that’s my favourite type . The afternoon visit we had the trip of dips and the warm bread - the pita was gluten free but it tasted like normal pita ( not like cardboard) and it was such a treat . They do happily cater to dietary restrictions ( in my experience), so just ask . For the late lunch , I had the special - which was the crispy pork belly with Adelaide hills apple cider , and an apple purée - the apples tasted sweet and tart - and a lovely radicchio salad , which had a lovely addition of orange segments and flakes almonds , which gave it an added texture. The pork crackle was perfectly crunchy by the meat was so juicy and sweet . My friend had the Angus porterhouse steak on a bed of marscapone mashed potatoes- she completed demolished it . Her only complaint was that there was no greens that she could order on the side , as it would have rounded out the meal . Water is delivered to the table , and the service is efficient and friendly . The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere - there is both indoor and outdoor seating and on the second time we went , they had opened up the glass doors to let the afternoon breeze inside . It is also open for dinner - so may have to make a return visit.

Delicious food, varied menu and pleasing wine list. Table service, which is always preferable, staff super courteous. Parking is at a premium, mainly due to the large number of patrons. I had quite a walk from where I parked my car! Well worth a visit!

It was so surprisingly good! I did not expect such great dishes for this price. Everything was very freshly prepared and nicely arranged. The place was crowded for a Tuesday, indicating how much locals love it. We had a very cosy table near a window and lovely time

Delicious Italian food and always service with a smile. Our local go-to. Cannot fault the staff, always friendly, welcoming and attentive. The gluten free Prosciutto Schiatitta is so tasty, and a generous portion always. The lunch specials are great and take away coffee and cakes are available through the take out window, too. Top notch service, great coffee, yummy food. Randomly found this place on a visit to Glenelg. Can get busy during brunch though so make sure you have a reservation. Had the Smoked Salmone and it tastes as good as it looks.

Mediterranean Cafe Ristorante is a well-established restaurant in Glenelg with good service and a decent menu. However, the food quality, taste, presentation and price do not match their 4.6 star review. A 5 star Mediterranean restaurant must have delicious, visually appealing food- that is seasoned properly. In my table of four we have risottos, arancini, gnocci and the vegetable stack. Overall, the food was mid quality (at best), and we paid around $200 (which included 4 alcoholic drinks) The service was excellent, fast and extremely attentive. The 2 star review is a result from the overall food quality in relation to its price, and when compared to other offerings (for example Brisbane or Gold Coast restaurants) this restaurant falls short. For locals, this would be an excellent little place to have around.

We dined at this restaurant for our work dinner on a Friday evening, and we couldn't find a single flaw. The waitstaff, particularly Charlie, were remarkably friendly and attentive. Charlie's lovely and bubbly personality made us feel exceptionally welcome. Despite the bustling atmosphere, our food and drinks arrived promptly. We ordered a variety, including steak, paella, risottos, and lamb shoulder, and everyone was delighted with the high quality of their meals. The bill was presented neatly, making it easy for each of us to calculate our individual payments.

Super popular place, and lived up to the hype. Big generous serves and like other reviews say, GET THE GARLIC BREAD - super fresh bread and well seasoned. We had seafood marinara and ragu pasta. Both delicious, just lacking a bit of elevation. Service was outstanding, and we were only just able to find a table despite not having a booking.

it was full of the lunch crowd when i went, but the staff were attentive and accommodating, cappuccino arrived fast, and the paella was sooo good. Paella is good for 2 i would say, took home half of it.

Recommended a must try by my son. Partner and I are a regular now. The best food and coffee. Staff, we had Laura looking after us. I notice some unhappy with prices. We found you get what you pay for. Great food, something for everyone, HOT coffee and great friendly staff and atmosphere.

Never disappoints Have been several times over the past 7 years and I have to say I want to eat it all. An extensive menu that has the taste buds watering. Ordered the char grilled prawn salad & crispy potatoes garlic bread for starters OMG just fantastic food friendly service fast efficient. We finished it off with a Baileys Affogato 5/5 perfect place for breakfast lunch or dinner … I would highly recommend you make a booking so you are not disappointed if turned away.

Have eaten here many times and always been very happy with the food and attentive service. Unfortunately tonight was a very disappointing exception. Particularly disappointing given we gave them an opportunity to fix their very poor embarrassing $15 salad that was basically a lot of lettuce and a few bits of tomato, onion and crackers thrown in. Took the salad back showing them and saying they could do better which they agreed to do. Unfortunately when the salad was delivered to us again it was pretty much the same with a few more crackers thrown in. I’d be embarrassed to serve up a plate of essentially lettuce for this price. You guys can do a lot better.

Went for Saturday lunch around 1.30pm. The restaurant was buzzing and we were seated immediately by the lovely staff. We ordered the seafood paella and the Scallopine Fungi. Seafood Paella (5/5) Incredible delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend this dish. The serving size is definitely huge. Scallopine Fungi (5/5) The veal was so well cooked and the mushroom gravy with truffle oil just elevated this dish. We are definitely going here again and the restaurant lives up to such high google ratings. The staff are really warm and friendly.

The food was so good, we have ordered take away from the restaurant, penne, stacked vegetables and Mediterranean salad, all of the dishes are amazing. It’s my first time in this restaurant, at the beginning I was just after some healthy food take away home to escape cooking dinner, and the food came out to be a great surprise to me. The indoor and outdoor environment also seems appealing, I’ll definitely come back to the restaurant and have food here next time.

This is a go to place to eat any day any time. Never had a bad meal ~ always fresh and tasty ~ staff always friendly and can’t help enough ~ nothing is too much trouble. The Vegie Bowl is a go to meal ~ just beautiful, always yummy. Pizzas are also amazing then to top it off the sweets cabinet is a delight with a nice hot coffee ~ always busy ~ always yummy A go to place ~ do yourself a favour

Simple, fresh, absolutely delicious food! Left feeling pleasantly full and not like on occasions where I've eaten similar places but feel loaded with grease! The staff are lovely. Great Mediterranean food! The paella was excellent, as was the pizza which we ordered. Service was great as well. Absolutely loved it.

A group of 4 dined here on a Saturday night. It was busy but we had a booking thankfully. It did take a little while for our waitress to take our order, but food and drinks came fairly promptly. Pastas were generous serves and delicious, fresh and homemade. Paella was good with a great charred crust and flavour, but for the high price and small amount of seafood, it should have been a larger serve, or lower price. Waitstaff also weren't super attentive, we probably would have ordered more drinks if we had been offered the option to do so. Whilst we enjoyed everything, and had a lovely night, I think food was a little overpriced and underwhelming.

Amazing food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.. so glad I found this hidden gem in Glenelg. Will definitely come back to enjoy a hearty lunch at the Mediterranean! Thanks you guys!

We had brunch at the Mediterranean on the weekend. The food was so good and so much to choose from. The staff were very friendly and asked us how everything was. I loved that there was a few different things on the menu you don't see at other places. However, the food did take quite a while to arrive at our table. I wasn't overly fussed about that as I wasn't in a hurry but I noticed the group at the table next to me had orders coming out at different times. Some people had finished their food before others had theirs bought to them. I know that wasn't my experience and maybe I shouldn't be judging on that but it just makes me mindful if I was to go with a larger group.

Great atmosphere, amazing flavour in the mixed grill, even the sauces. And the fattoush with S&P Calamari was very tender and light. Very friendly staff. Well done guys!!

This long standing restaurant never let's us down.... Excellent choices of delicious food, an ideal location for lunch. Great caring staff especially Ella who made a long awaited catchup with dear friends so special.Thankyou x
