Dolores Park is my second favourite park in SF after the Golden Gate Park. The views are phenomenal and the vibe is amazing. People are chilling and having a gala time. You can also see the SF skyline if you go after sunset. Can’t wait to go during the summers and soak the sunlight in while I look at the Salesforce tower and read a book.

One of the very nice and scenic parks in SFO. And definitely a place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. We were here for the sunset and spent time walking around after taking in the spectacular views of the city. If you plan to have dinner in Mission, this is definitely to visit and take a walk in first before dinner!

Revisited this place on July 15, 2023 after a gap of almost 18 months and found it even more irresistible in appeal. Being a weekend, the place was packed with people who were having a good time sunbathing and relaxing with food, drinks, music and dance. Some were playing games, others playing with their dogs or just lying down on the sun soaked green lawns. The view of the City from the slopes of the park is gorgeous and you can get beautiful shots from different parts of the park. The best thing about the park was the peaceful co-existence of a large crowd of people. The atmosphere was very joyous and it seemed that people were celebrating Life, each in her or his own way. The park is maintained very well with the convenience of toilets within the park and restaurants and public convenience very close by. So, if you are in SF and want to have a feel of the City, head to this park on a sunny day!

It is one of the most beautiful and vibes-y locations in San Francisco. It was my fiest time there but absolutely want to go there again. Lots opportunities to get some sun, enjoy the food carts, play some games, or just have a picnic overlooking the park and downtown in the distance. Also, the public restrooms aren't too bad, loads of free street parking around, too.

Awesome park to hang out with friend, meet new dogs playing around, and observe skyline of SFO! It’s perfect place to go out on bright sunny day! I absolutely loved the vibe there. Yes, it gets crowded but I think it’s still worth it.

Came to this park multiple times. Recent visit was two days ago when people celebrated Pride week here and had Dyke March. A beautiful park. Restroom on both sides of the park.

Mission Dolores Park, nestled in the heart of the city next to hipster Valencia and a short walk from the Castro, is an iconic hangout spot. From the hilltop at 20th & Church, you'll catch an epic downtown view with the Golden Fire Hydrant behind you (read the plaque!). Perfect for a sunny birthday bash with friends, but watch out for busy weekends and hot afternoons. Pro tip: if you're chill about it, you can enjoy a beer, champs, or a puff, as long as the park police aren't around. Enjoy the good vibes!

What a vibe. So many different characters. Bring a blanket, some drinks and food and enjoy all the different types of people. Music playing, super packed, dogs running around. Drugs and food and drinks being sold. You will get it all here.

This is where the people from all walks of life come to relax, exercise, have a beer and watch the sunset. It's a place to just sit and enjoy the ambience.

Very huge park to go to surrounded by houses at San Francisco! It’s very convenient for residents to visit here and relax, but also good for everyone. Many people stayed at the grassy areas and do some things. I like how there are palm trees in the area since it makes the park look nicer and much different than a typical park.

Very nice park right off the train. Beautiful views from the top of the city skyline off in the distance. Beautiful sunset views. This park is mostly wide open along the sloping terrain. The center circle is a relatively flat area with a kids park area up the hill and big open flat fields on the lower area, which is near the bathrooms. Parking can be a challenge in the area. This is a great place to meet friends, play games, run, dog walking, exercise, casual team sports, play your guitar, or just sit on a blanket. Park is very well maintained and feels safe.

I hadn't been at this park for a few years. Is a wonderful kids playground and lots of space for your dogs to run and beautiful views of downtown San Francisco lots of grass for picnician and enjoying a beautiful day in the city. I've come to this park on and off throughout my entire life I definitely go back. All the people to park were friendly even to my dogs

Nothing quite like a sunny day in Dolores Park. Bring a blanket to sit on and a jacket for when the sun goes down... The best place to sit back and watch the people (and dogs!) of SF do their thing :)

Dolores Park gathers the rich elements of Mexican History and the presence of our people In San Francisco, it is an amazing place where many people gather to play music, eat, find some peace, and the views of the city are breathtaking!

Dolores Park is a classic park to get the true SF experience. It overlooks the city in this almost surreal pool feeling park atmosphere that feels as though it distorts reality. Sit and enjoy yourself. Bring a beer or a joint or come sober. Just do you- it's the SF way. Check out the mission while you are here and definitely stay in the park to end your day with a bomb sunset.

It’s a really nice spot to chill out and view the city, and it’s always less windy than most of the city. There are a nice acai bowl place right by, as well as it’s location in mission where there are so many good food options. Always a vibe🌸☺️

Other than the Golden gate bridge Park, this is my second favorite place in the city. It's filled with breathtaking views and some beautiful landscapes overlooking both the city and the water. There are some nice pieces of artwork with in the park along with some places to have a picnic with a spouse or a good place to let your dogs run around and have a. I was once here when I was a kid, it was a little cleaner then as the park was not so filled with tents and homeless people in the bushes in the trees. But I think the city tries its absolute best to clean up this park because I noticed from time to time it will become clean and then we'll get messy again. I really do hope San Francisco those back to its roots and cleans up the city that way the local people can enjoy their City.

Probably my favorite spot in all of San Francisco :) Everyone is welcome at the park and it's such a nice place to come hangout on the weekend. Love taking people here who have never been to the city before. It's a great way to experience local life. Almost everything seems to be allowed, including: marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol, glass beverages, sports including slack lining on the palm trees, friendly off leash dogs, semi-nudity (shirtless folks), music from portable speakers, etc. Funny enough, I've only ever seen park rangers flag people for bringing a *table*, but recently they seemed to have relaxed on that, too. The ground can get damp, so bring a park blanket/something to sit on. Stop at a corner market on your way here to pick up some snacks/drinks, and enjoy some great views and people watching.

My fave park in San Francisco! Beautiful views. Bathrooms. Tennis courts. Picnic tables. Benches. Let your dog run w/out a leash. Close to the Castro and Market streets. Riddled with all sorts of businesses of varying interests: food, clothing, vintage, smoke shops, etc... !

  • 4/5 W. Travis B. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely nicer than before the upgrade. The children's playground is beautiful. And the grass is not a muddy mire anymore. The tennis courts are a great place to watch some locals flex their skills

Fantastic playground with beautiful views. Very busy in the summer with tons of summer camp kiddos, but still tons to do! The landscape around the area is very well maintained.

The park is clean and is of decent size. It's a good place to chill with your friends and family. It has the view of SF skyline and it looks beautiful. There are benches as well on case you don't want to sit on the grass.

My favorite park in San Francisco without a doubt. I’m so lucky to live within walking distance to Dolores Park. The vibe here is so great, especially on a warm and sunny day when the park is filled with people. Definitely a great place to have a good time with some good views.

Gorgeous park in incredible surroundings with view of the SanFran skyline and the bay etc. The bathrooms are decent and there's so much to do between the dog park and playground and tennis courts. Just beautiful.

One of the best spots in San Francisco to relax and have a get together. Plenty of public parking available for free along the park. The parking is only for 2 hours during weekdays and without hourly limitations during weekends. Usually the place is caked on a sunny day. The grass is moist most of the times due to dew, hence would recommend getting a some sort of sheet or cover to sit on. When the weather is perfect you could see a lot of fun activity. You can get all your food and drinks. They also have public restrooms. The only downside to this place is you may find lot of smokers and unleashed dogs at times.

Great park, really clean playground, and feels safe enough since there are normally a ton of people here during daytime hours. Great city and skyline views, but get ready to struggle to find parking unless you're taking Muni (which drops you off right at the park). Seems to get crowded at any hour of the day, but even more so after work hours and when kids are out of school. I can see how it can get a bit overwhelming at those times. Came here on a weekday early enough to avoid any of that. Wish these kinds of playgrounds had enough stuff for slightly older kids to play (8+ might struggle to find enough to stay entertained), but there's plenty of space to play soccer of catch (competing with hills and gravity of course). Playground features rope climbing area, rock wall climbing, agility and cargo net course, crooked tower climbing features, overhead bridge crossover, swings for younger and older kids, long windy slide, wider short slide, several imaginary play stations, sand pit, and baby/toddler play area. The park is mostly astroturf material with some sand, concrete, and reclaimed rubber on the inclines. Lots of trash cans and benches in both sunny and shaded areas.

There was a protest Advocating for Women’s Reproductive Rights the day we went. It was incredible!! I love San Francisco ♥️ Also gorgeous park and lots of vendors! Bring your cash, a blanket and a drink and you’re set

Very pretty and big park. Nice mix of nature, scenery, city view and kid’s playground. There are several places to sit for the picnic.

If you don’t already believe the 12k+ reviews, believe mine! Bring your friends, a waterproof picnic blanket (grass can get muddy), books, snacks, a speaker, and enjoy scenic views of the SF skyline. Be mindful that the park gets very full on sunny days. Great for families, dog walkers, really anyone who wants to enjoy some outdoor time. Plus - accessible public bathrooms!

One of my favorite spots in SF. A great outdoor place to meet up with people. It has a very nice playground for kids playing with their friends. You can also see SF's downtown skyline from this park.

Nice Baruch a lot of good and smiley people I like the fact you can just lay on the grass and enjoy the sun on a good weather day it’s my first time in the park and I really like it probably I’ll be back again next time I’m in San Francisco. You need to park around the park on the street. There is people with food carts and drink cart you can buy from. even alcohol

Such a cool park. The playground was super fun for my daughter AND me! It was busy on a Saturday, but still super cool. Every one seems chill. Cool vibes. Climb to the highest part and you can get a great view of the city. Love!!!
