I love Dr. Ahmed and the team here! It begins with the lighting. The ambiance at Old Town Smiles is so calming and inviting. Soft lighting, a well-curated selection of reading materials, and even the gentle background music create an environment that feels more akin to a spa than a dental clinic. But it's not just the atmosphere that makes Old Town Smiles extraordinary; it's the exceptional level of care and expertise I receive during each visit. The dental hygienists are thorough yet gentle, always making sure I'm comfortable throughout the cleaning. They're knowledgeable and take the time to explain each step, from plaque removal to polishing, ensuring that I understand the importance of every procedure. This empowers me to take better care of my dental health in between visits. The dentists themselves are equally impressive. Their ability to combine technical skill with a compassionate approach makes each examination and consultation a constructive experience. They take the time to address any concerns or questions I may have, treating me not just as a patient but as an engaged participant in my own dental care. What truly distinguishes Old Town Smiles, however, is the cohesive team dynamic. Everyone—from the front desk to the dental chair—seems genuinely invested in my well-being. Great experience with Dr. Ahmed getting a second opinion after my dentist identified issues with my bite. While Dr. Ahmed noted the same issues, she was able to go even further to discuss the potential root causes for my teeth shifting and recommending other actions (including a sleep study) to help make sure that the underlying issues could be addressed along with treatment. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and took time to answer all of my questions.

Dr. Ahmed and her staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I walked into her office! It was immediately clear to me that I was among truly skilled and compassionate professionals. From my initial visit and follow ups, my teen daughter's visit, and my husband's visits, we have been totally impressed with Dr. Ahmed's extensive know-how and knowledge. I only wish I had started seeing her sooner!

During the last six weeks or so, Dr. Ahmed, Avia, and other members of Dr. Ahmed's team have worked tirelessly over several long visits to improve potential final outcomes of my dental restoration. Last week completed the transition from (attractive) temporaries to my permanent restored dental solution. The results are stunning! I'm sure this amazing result is because throughout the restorative process Dr. Ahmed would not sacrifice any of her high standards just for the sake of expediency or any other purposes. Also, Dr. Ahmed explains the details of every procedure and the reasons for doing them. Whenever there is a matter of patient personal preference, she articulates options and describes advantages or disadvantages. I learned over time that in such cases one cannot go wrong by asking Dr. Ahmed's opinion. She has excellent taste - as much an artist as a skilled (dental) scientist, as much a DaVinci as a Galileo. Last week, having completed restoration (mostly involving upper teeth), she observed the work overall then added the pièce de résistance: light therapy and a whitening gel applied to gently whiten the lower teeth to approximate the restored uppers. It was all so very amazing. I recall that when I first visited Dr. Ahmed's office, several of the staff were whispering to me, "You have come to the right place." Now I fully understand and completely agree! I highly recommend Dr. Ahmed and her practice. I love all the staff. There are local atmospheric movements of joy, laughter, intelligence, skill, and professionalism. I am still smiling!

I had a problem with my lower teeth and Dr. Ahmed fit me into her schedule almost immediately. She addressed the problem and explained everything that was happening and I was able to get ahead of my dental problem before it got worse. The office staff is always 100% nice and helpful.

My family and I have been patients of Old Town Smiles for 5 years. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Dr Ahmed is amazing. Dominique helped out with my procedure and she is great at what she does. She is gentle, efficient, caring and professional. I didn’t even need anesthesia because she is so good at what she does. Sarah is also wonderful. She is also a true professional, so smart and really fun to talk to. These dental hygienists are a big part of what makes Old Town Smiles so good. They have a new dentist and hygienist whom I haven’t had the chance to meet yet, but my college age kids gave them 5 stars!!
