    Customer Service here is EXTREMELY HORRENDOUS! Staff is very biased and discriminatory! U walk in & speak you can barely hear a mumble from the staff; no one is welcoming! Today I went in for a bath upon approaching the back I asked was a tub available I was told yes; one tub was occupied one was filthy and the other was too low. I asked if someone could come to clean the filthy tub or raise the grate that was too low on the other. An unwelcoming annoyed staff person rinsed the dirty tub. I was baffled as COVID-19 IS STILL PREVALENT that all he did was rinse the tub; NOT CLEAN BUT RINSE, A RINSE IS NOT CLEANING! I asked was there a cleaning agent to use to actually to clean the tub. ONLY AFTER ASKING did he spray a cleaning agent. He did not thank me for my patience or offer any sort of regret for the filthiness. I was going to proceed with a bath, however I gathered my things along with my dog and exited the building. THIS LOCATION & STAFF IS DISGUISTING! I would never spend another dime at this location. BEWARE!

    Awful customer service. Essentially nonexistent customer service. The inventory here is the same basic stuff that you will find at any Petco in any strip mall in America. However, the extremely poor customer service is what really stands out here. I was coming from Baltimore to help my sick father in law who lives in DC. He is not doing well and needed some help washing his dogs. Naturally, traffic coming into DC was terrible. We called this Petco to make sure we could still get into their dog washing station. They said we just needed to get in by 5:30pm. We had to pick up the dogs from Capitol Hill, then drive cross town to get to Petco. We arrived at 5:35 only to be told by the unhelpful surly employee that the dog washing station is closes at 5:30, and there is nothing that can be done. She was too busy being on her phone to offer any further help or explanation. What is going on here? The place closes at 7pm. Is there a reason dog washing station must close at 5:30pm sharp? If I got in 5 minutes earlier how would it have made a difference? The place is garbage. I will tell you, there is a huge demand in DC for a dog washing service that is open after normal 9-5 working hours.

    Cat heaven !!!! I stock up the treats and toys for months before I return. I wish Petco comes to India soon !

    For a small store, they have lots of selection. The staff are really friendly and helped point out good products and good deals.

    Staff is usually present and very friendly Thus Sunday morning? Team seemed overwhelmed and pick up station was in an array. Team wasn’t as friendly either today. Sort of disappointing but no biggie

    "Our return policy is simple – if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to any of our Petco or Unleashed by Petco stores or to one of our petco.com warehouses." - Apparently untrue, my 4 month old puppy destroyed a couple of "ultra durable" toys I bought from this location within half an hour of being given them and I was told by an employee here that Petco was not responsible for my dog's "style of chewing" even if the toy was advertised as durable on their shelves. Stick to Chewy for toys, they'll actually back up their return policy.

    This is truly the worst petco in the dmv . They never have variety taste of the wild 28 pound bag in stocks. Customer service is awful. Don't waste yo time

    I came in for a quick visit to get some flea preventative for my Bella (dog) and met a nice young man, Jesus, who was most professional with me! He made my visit seem very worthwhile and I felt appreciated. Thank you for being a great team member. I will visit again. . .

    Staff are excellent- super friendly and knowledgeable! I joined a friend for their pet shopping and got educated on the differences in cat nail clippers (the guillotine style is better for beginners). Also loved their playlist that night, which took me back to those Making the Band days. ✨

    I understand it's not ideal when dogs have accidents in the store, but the staff was very short and just seemed generally agitated from the moment we walked in the store... I hope y'all are okay!

    The customer care is awful especially the manager Edmund he was so rude and uncaring and the way he talked was not right. No one should be treated that way. Was so disappointed. Not a good experience

    I love Petco. The staff was awesome and very helpful. I do feel like their stock was fairly depleted and we only ended up getting around half of what we needed. I'm not sure if it was just a restock day or if I've just gotten too use to Chewy, but I ended up going home and getting several items online.

    I’m really frustrated with this Petco near me. It’s consistently unprofessional and messy, and it feels like the employees aren’t motivated to be there. Despite living nearby, I’d rather make the trek to the Petco in Virginia because of the issues here. They always seem short-staffed, and there have been instances when they weren’t open on time, with employees waiting outside for their manager. I think the management might be a big factor in why the employees aren’t performing well. With my retail experience, I have a good sense of what should and shouldn’t happen in a store setting, and this doesn’t meet those standards.

    I work in retail so I get that customers can be out of line sometimes. I made a thoughtless purchase and went to return it, I knew it was close to the 30 day window but figured I could get store credit, bc my bad I should have done it sooner. Unfortunately, this store told me that after 30 days my item was worthless - the kicker is that the 30 days expired the previous day. The item was sealed and it cost $9.99. And they refused a store credit, I mean really? If you ever have issues just call petco online. I got a credit for the item. When I first started to work retail I used to act like the money was coming out of my check, glad I grew out of that mindset.
