I bought a pre-build pc in there. It should contain a wifi card but they didn’t put it into the PC. And NO ONE EVER PICKED UP MY CALL. They will just automatically hang up and claim they will call back. This shop is a joke!

Have been a regular customer while can’t say they have a customer service at all. While the website still says Ultimo shop opens on Saturday, the store is actually closed. Even the post on the door still says they open on Saturdays till 3:30pm. Then I googled it found up they have updated the google maps…really as a tech company where you take a lot online orders do not bother updating the website?

I wanted a custom built PC for playing flight simulator in VR - and not much else. I’m an Apple Mac person so had some idea of what I was talking about and the components I needed - but I’m no expert. I was glad to have the very knowledgeable, polite and patient guys at Ultimo MSY take lots of time to explain my options. They were great salespeople - but were very obviously not trying to just “upsell” me on faster or more expensive components. They knew my budget, took it seriously and even told me about how to save money while still getting what I wanted. This is what I wanted because I’d already told myself I’d be going elsewhere if I even got a hint of being pressured into buying something high-end that I knew I didn’t need. So that was great. Will definitely revisit when I need to upgrade again. The “new guy” behind the counter in particular was clearly someone who knew his stuff and was passionate about it. Great service, great knowledge. 5 stars.

I quickly needed some items you can't necessarily find at other stores. No worries I thought, I can order online and and go pick it up the next day. I only had a small window of time I could do it in though, and it turns out they're closed during that window. Now I don't know if I'll be able to get it any time soon. It would have been after to post it... So yeah, the mian reason I'm putting this review up is to let people know they're closed from 1pm to 1:40. I tried calling the store, they automatically put me on hold and then 11 mins later automatically closed it and said they'd call me back. Too late now

I cannot speak highly enough of this excellent PC store! Costa and corben took the time to truly understand my needs and recommended a build suited to my price range. They did not try to upsell me on unnecessary upgrades/services or take advantage of poor PC knowledge. It is evident that they genuinely care about their customers and are passionate about what they do. Thanks guys for your expertise and guidance.

This is a high quality, low impact pc component shopping experience. You should really know what you want before you step in the for, but the store clerks can help you out of you are truely stuck. The store does not contain a lot of bells and whistles, but does contain great prices on PC components.

This place sells dodgy products. I have bought a Laptop which I barely use and it needed a display replacement in the first year and then a trackpad replacement in the second year. I also bought a PC prior to the laptop and the power supply broke in 2 years. Absolutely terrible.

Costa provides great customer service that I haven’t experienced at MSY yet. He went above and beyond in ensuring I get the right computer parts despite it was not required of him to do so. When I was returning to my car, he helped me move my parts to the car which was an plus as it was raining. Can’t get this service anyone else. Was really surprised as MSY has never provided such excellent service. Go check them out as their customer service has evolved!!

Just had the friendliest experience here, spoke to amir about getting a Ethernet cable and he saved me $20!! Highly recommend, great staff.

Horrible service, has been a week and my order of 4 case fans still isn't ready. Seriously. They don't answer there phones and emails are left unread. Worst customer experience i have had with tech company. Seriously disappointing.

If you need something for you PC right away or don't want to have to return things via post this shop is perfect. Very fair prices. Staff are very helpful

I went there a few days ago for windows 10 license. The price was much better than Microsoft itself and better than the other stores I called. The installation took much time and he stayed about 2 hours after the closing hour. I appreciate it.

Gavin here at MSY has not only been professional but also very prompt, polite and quick. Highly recommend buying parts, call up for advice or come in for repairs.

Arrived at 1:00pm to find it was closed for lunch. No mention of this on website. Staff wasn't very knowledgeable or courteous. Best to go to other competitors for which there are numerous around Sydney. Guy argued with me about paying with EFTPOS on my phone. Hasn't been an issue at other businesses. Only one star because the product was cheap.

This store is fantastic for no fuss, cheap PC components. It’s best to go early as there’s always a queue. This is not the store for window-shopping, so do your homework first before going. One of the main problems is the limited parking in the street. I would suggest bringing a side-kick who can stay in the car.

I'm quite on the fence about MSY and to me it's almost like a necessary evil! I think the website is pretty poor to navigate and buying things reliably online is a bit of a challenge. However, you cannot argue with the prices and if the item that you want IS in stock, there's no better place to buy!

I've been coming to this MSY store, off an on, for the last five years. Service can be a bit hit and miss but prices are very sharp and they carry a good range of stock. Open most public holidays, too, which is very handy. Today (3Oct16) I was in and out in under 5mins.

I needed a new difficult-to-find laptop charger 'asap' and msy had a universal charger at a very competitive price. They made sure they tested it first on my laptop which was much appreciated. Helpful easy fast.

I am so glad I happened to venture into this IT shop and meet Jemeson and Amir. They were so helpful, knowledgeable and quick in their service, it was a pleasure to spend time in their company. I originally just wanted a monitor but they also built a gaming PC and it was available in a couple of hours even though they were extremely busy with Christmas orders. I highly recommend these guys and would use their services again.

MSY is no longer the MSY I remember, or maybe it's been always like this??? 80% time you get a sold out and they trying to sell you something else, when you buy a $300 and asking if they can throw a 8pin power cord, you get a "no"

Sold me a gaming laptop that had issues more than 3 times. Hinge broke 2 times. Unresponsive keyboard. When I brought for repair for the last time they installed the wrong screen which I cannot change the brightness and I color accuracy was hideous.

MSY Have come a long way. Gone are the days when you had to know what you wanted and lack of support. I recently walked in with my son to buy him a gaming pc, not joking we sat down with one of the staff for almost 2.5 hours working out a build for my budget.

Not only are they not replying to their email but they don't answer their phone number when I am willing to spend $2500 on a new custom built system. Ridiculous I will go else where if they're not willing to reply to my emails or give me a call. Absolutely useless

Went into the store to get help with a custom PC build and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The rig has been great so far. I recently went back to get help with finding a new monitor too and was assisted by Costa (I hope I'm spelling his name right) who helped me pick out the right one for me! Absolutely going to do the bulk of my PC shopping here from now on.

MSY Hurstville and MSY Kingdford have been shut down. They are no longer open for business. Leaving neutral 3/5. The business was good before it's closure.

Very friendly staff Amir and the team...good customer care when I ring them, I explain to them about my issues, my laptop lookout from Microsoft office, take to them and they fixed and no charge... I'm so happy , I reckon 99% good stuff .

Staffs are nice and really professional. Amir has just saved my Christmas by helping me updating the BIOS in a very short time so I can finish my build before Christmas. Highly recommend

I bought a video card which didn't fit my case. While i opened the box i did not open the sealed bag the card came in. When i returned it was charged a 20% restocking fee and was told that was due to the box being opened. Apparently the card would be discounted to the next purchaser.I just looked at the web site and no discounted card is available? Matter of interest but i cant see any products being offered as discounted due to being opened. MSY can deduct my funds instantaneously but to remit them back takes days? Fair enough i opened the box but the card remained sealed. Not opened or fitted. I think this is short sighted having bought at least 4pcs over the years as well as parts. The staff service was great. The staff were attentive and helpful. The manager has made his call and charged me $86.00 to return a card. Will never buy again from MSY. I feel ripped off and still waiting for my refund. This manager has burnt one customer which is a shame as his staff were exellent.

Was assisted by a gentleman by the name of Costa at the Ultimo location, and I’ve got to say, awesome customer service by this individual and the team! 👌🏽 I am not very up to date when it comes to computing, but they were patient and provided the time and advice I was look for and bought my items at great prices. Highly recommend :)

Called MSY this morning to confirm that the 3-4 hour delivery to the store would still happen on the weekends. Only wanted to buy from MSY instead of cheaper at MWave because it was closer to home for collection. Told that there would be no problem and I would be able to collect before the store closed. Guess what. Not available as promised. This has major implications for the project my son is working on for the HSC. Told by customer service that there was no solution. Would give zero stars if I could.

Absolutely the best store to get computer bits 'n pieces! Mind you, there can be a long queue outside the store. Best bet is to order online. Staff were a little slow filling my online order instore, but that's a minor thing, really. I buy most computer parts and accessories there because they pretty much have the best prices. Thank you, MSY.

I am MSY customer for more than 8 years and it is consistently very good experience buying from MSY. With mostly lowest prices, good quality products, very good and responsive customer service, multiple pick-up store locations make it the store of choice. Recently I had a chance to visit MSY Ultimo store and had the same great experience. Met Amir and Caster there at the reception and found them to be really professional, helping and friendly. They provided best customer service and support to help address my query answering questions and suggesting alternative solutions finally addressing my need. How can I forget very friendly and supportive customer service team at MSY call centre providing very quick support on phone. I can recall my recent communication with MJ, Rochel, Gerald and found them being very professional and supportive. Thank you, guys. Highly recommended.

Staff aren't that helpful or friendly, more of a face at the counter. Stock levels are also wrong.

Stock not availiable in store even though the website states there is. Inventory in not existent and going there is a waste of time.

This is the best place to get computer parts, I think they import the parts so it's the cheapest. Just don't buy from here if you don't know what you are doing or how to build your own computers.

Very helpful, found a better part than I had found on their website, after other shops didn't have the items in stock their sites claimed. They might not stock many different brands of essentially the same item, but chances are they will have that item, or something very close to it.
