Attended a Gin Session at Archie Rose 🌹 and it was bloody great. Hosted by the extremely knowledgeable Ben, the 90 min session was informative and fun. We got to try 3 gins - the Signature gin and 2 Limited editions. Paired with fancy tonics and garnishes. Learnt all about gin, and tonic, their origins and history. A great price too, not expensive considering 3 full size gins. Highly recommend and make sure you get Ben - he really made it memorable and is passionate about his gins!

A trendy, industrial style (converted old cannery factory) open spaced venue that is no longer the actual distillery but more a bar, functions and ‘experiences’ site. It was very busy in the bar area when I visited for a gin ‘dabbling with individually distilled botanicals and blending with a ready made gin’ (not make your own gin) experience. There was also a ‘make your own Christmas wreath) party happening, which sounded fun. Our host for the evening guided me to the mezzanine level above the bar and was welcoming and pleasant. Each guest had a gin and tonic upon arrival and we could order food to have during the experience. Sparkling and still water was provided on each table.

I would just like to thank Mel and the team at Archie Rose! They made custom whiskey bottles as gifts for my husband and his groomsmen for our wedding and they are stunning. Mel was extremely helpful through the entire process and they were delivered so quickly, I could not recommend anyone more for such a perfect personalised gift. They even sent a free little sample and glassware to make the presents that little bit more special! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

A low key vibe, would make a cute date spot but also suitable for groups if you book ahead. The cocktails are exceptional and well-balanced in flavour profiles. Whilst Archie rose are famous for their gin (you can order gin flights for a sample of their best), they have plenty of other options such as locally brewed beers and other spirits. The charcuterie boards are also great to graze on while you relax with a drink or two.

Very cool place, and the staff are FABULOUS! Your staff are such an asset, you are made to feel so welcome. Love the décor and the vibe. And the cocktails are delicious. Check it out if you haven't been.

Fantastic experience! You are greeted at the door as you enter, and are taken care of for the duration of your stay. You have the option if sitting at the bar, where you can watch the bartenders sling and mix the drinks, you can sit in the circular booths for bigger parties or the stand along tables that seat 4. We opted for a booth and opened a tab They have a wide selection of Gin, Vodka and Whisky up against the wall, but if you're unsure of what to taste, consider their tasting flights. Some are not listed on the menu and some can be put together for you, just ask a bartender. A little tip is to look at their Instagram page to see potential new flavours or experimental concoctions they might be testing on visitors before they are bottled for sale. I bought bottle of the Cinema Paradiso before official release, and am obsessed. It is a weirdly delicious mix if lemon, chocolate and vodka resulting in a popcorn flavoured drink. Aside from drinks, they serve bar foods. We opted for the charcuterie platter with 3 types of meat, 3 types of cheese and 3 different pickled veg for sour twist. I've heard the cheese toasties were pretty delicious, so they ate next on my list. Occasionally they have a chef who comes in to collaborate and puts together a few dishes to be paired with drinks (check their Insta for more details). Definitely will be coming back!

Very nicely decorated bar with comfortable group booths. Food along with locally produced spirits available and a good range of cocktails. Tasting flights for gin and whiskey on offer. Staff were excellent and they made the experience even more enjoyable. Bottles of whiskey and gin can be bought take away from inside the bar. Quality merchandise is on offer.

I had this morning a beautiful tasting seance and conversation with Rob ,around the Archie Rose spirits and specifically how they were made with their own original process. I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the products and the well picked combination of aromas they put together. I learned a bit about the distillery as well. A young, dedicated, diversified and passionate company with a promising future. So I would definitely recommend for all the spirits lovers/amateurs to pay them a visit. Cheers

Highly recommend the tasting and tour. Rob was very friendly and knowledgeable. And enjoyed some very tasty vodka, gin, and whiskey. Also, had lunch and a cocktail, which I would also recommend. The atmosphere is cozy, drinks are delicious, and food is fresh and delightful. If I lived in Sydney this would be a regular spot. If you are a whiskey drinker, Archie Rose is a must.

Had a great time here at the weekend. My mate and I went for the whisky flight which for $50 felt very reasonable. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable about each whisky - you could tell he was really enthusiastic about them. The decoration inside is awesome and the cocktail menu is fantastic. Highly recommended

A group of friends and I took the whiskey blending class, led by Michael for a tour of their distillery and the fermentation process. He was enthusiastic, funny and passionate about their operation, as were the still masters who happily shared knowledge. Simon who led the blending was equally passionate and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about regionality and discerning our own preferences in whiskey taste. The evening felt warm, generous and inclusive. I get a sense that there's a great team here and look forward to my next visit.

I ordered hand sanitiser from Archie Rode back in March after I had missed out on their first release and after receiving an email for a preorder. I did so mainly to support a company who was thinking outside the square and hopefully with an altruistic idea to help Australian get a much needed commodity. They accepted the order then have promptly failed to deliver. Excuse after excuse then only to tell me it had been delivered. However they were unable to supply proof of that when asked. I have just received an email to sorry we were wrong in fact they can't advise me if its been delivered or not. Why not just refund the hard earned that I spent and if it eventually turns up I will return it.

Fantastic bar to visit. The whole vibe is spot on, from the decor to the staff, and the amazing quality of drinks! It's not cheap, but you pay for quality. You can expect each cocktail will be unique, perfectly balanced and presented beautifully! I also did an Aussie whisky tasting there which was really great. More than just trying some whisky, I got a full history & science lesson as well. Their venue would be super cool to hire it for an event as well.

The perfect spot for a date night! Had the staff greet us the moment we walked in and were super attentive the whole time we were there. They helped us select our cocktails then gave us space to enjoy our evening. The bar itself is situated right next door to the distillery (will definitely be back during the day to get a tour and tasting), with a dark and romantic atmosphere, we noticed there was a few couples out that night. The cheese and charcuterie board had generous servings. What a winner. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic Japanese whiskey tasting, it was great to try some nice whiskey with abit of a distillery knowledge and a history lesson built on over the course of an hour or so. Food was also amazing and accompanied the whiskey very nicely. The host also did a fantastic job in getting us engaged and made the content interesting and fun. Would do it again in a heartbeat. The adjacent bar also serves some killer beverages also good to wind down after the tasting.

Gin blending class was average, expensive for the experience. 1 glass of G&T included on arrival. Friendly staff who gave a brief history lesson and then they explained the different drops you can put in to “blend” your own gin. Wish there was more to learn and see at the site but they make the gin elsewhere. Felt like I was back in high school science class where they let you go off and just play around with your drinks so it’s a bit overpriced for the experience you get.

Was ignored for long long time... Kept us waiting with no one attended to us, and people who came after us got served. We love your shop before and got good experience, but this time was so bad, will never come back again.

Started off impressive staff were prompt and sitting areas welcoming… I asked waitress specifically if all cocktails on List were $15 Tuesday specials, waitress told us ‘YES ALL COCKTAILS ARE $15 TONIGHT’ so we ordered generously.. Upon exit and payment at end of evening we were told waitress had made a mistake and that the cocktails we ordered were $22 each not $15 as waitress had stated I told waitress that she should honour the price she told us upon arrival but she said she could not as she was not the manager. This turned our experience to disappointing based on morals: If someone states a price, it should not be altered at the end of the night. We were respectful to waitress and paid our dues but this left a very bittersweet experience in our mouth, I am actually gobsmacked to be honest as it seemed like a genuine establishment not one that we thought we would get ripped off at so if you intend to dine here, may I suggest that you check your bill at end of evening !!!

Came here for the distillery tour which was great! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and had great jokes to help lighten the mood. Learned a fair bit about gin and whiskey and will definitely take the in depth sessions if I'm ever in Sydney again!

The tour/tasting was a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the history. The bar is also a solid option for extra drinks once you wrap up the tour. I was able to grab a cellar exclusive (beauty and the beast whiskey) as well which is always fun.

Had a great tour over the long weekend, with great and knowledgeable staff. Siobhan was very knowledgeable and fun. All the bartenders in the bar section where lovely and made sure we didn't miss our tour. Especially Roy who was really great to chat with and really seemed to enjoy his work. Great cocktails, great food and a great ambiance. Will be back again .

Such a cool bar for a few cocktails right in the heart of Rosebery! Bar tenders are excellent! We didn’t get any food but it looked good! Best to book a table in advance as it’s always busy!

The bar has a really cool vibe, service is great and the drinks are really good. Tried their rye whiskey, beautiful and smooth. Also their cocktails are really yummy, ‘grow a pear’ was amazing, a lot of depth to it. You can see a lot of effort has gone into the place and drinks.

Hands down the best cocktail experience I’ve ever had. We were primarily served by Tanner (?) and not only were the drinks sublime, we had almost one of each but the staff genuinely loved and cared about the products, giving us honest personal reviews and spot on recommendations. Great atmosphere and fantastic service that represent an amazing drop. Walked home with a bottle of signature dry gin that we’re enjoying now. I would call this one of Sydney’s hidden gems.

You won’t find a better whiskey bar than this, weather you there for a quiet drink or if you want to try something new this is the place to be. They cater for all with share plates, my wife and I had the vegan share plate with vegan cheese and dips. I would highly recommend it, I’m not even vegan. Plus the whiskey is stunning. The Single malt is extremely fine tuned. Book in, you won’t regret it 🤙

Did a gin masterclass and visited the bar afterwards to check out the whiskey offerings. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I absolutely recommend every aspect of this place. Definitely worth a visit whether you splurge on an experience or drop by for a tipple at the bar.

Booked in to make my own Gin class and it was great! We were a small group and it went for just over an hour. Great background information on AR and the history behind Gin. Took home 2 small bottles of my own brew and received a $10 discount off any Gin + 12 premixed cans of AR Gin. Definitely recommend if you're keen on Gin and love Archie Rose!

I first went to Archie Rose when it opened a few years ago. Back then it was, in my opinion, much better. I found last night's experience to be a very different vibe. One thing I didn’t enjoy was having to pay a booking fee. Sure the fee gets credited to your bar tab at the end of the night but asking people to pay a booking fee portrays an air of pretentiousness. The Archie of the past was never like that. Then there was the overly-attentive bar staff. Don’t get me wrong, having staff pay attention to your needs is one thing, but having them constantly interrupt your conversations is quite another. Again, don’t get me wrong, the staff are fantastic but we were interrupted every fifteen minutes and it was just too much. Archie management please understand that if your patrons glasses are still full they don’t need more drinks. Please let your patrons chill out and enjoy the experience. Asking if “everything is ok” at fifteen-minute intervals is just plain annoying. We felt like we were never able to fully relax. Aside from that the food and drinks were fantastic. I just hope you guys stick to your roots and don’t go the way so many other places go. By that I mean getting too big for your boots and becoming overly pretentious.

Great place to partake the products of this distillery. Generally excellent drinks, food and atmosphere although the snacks are a bit pricey for what you get. Staff jumping out of their skins to attend to us, perhaps because we were all just coming out of the lockdown!

Archie Rose defines the quintessential Australian Whisky. Not only winning many whisky awards, but they have an amazing bar, vodka and gin series to boot. Their experimental series of gin & whiskies, and involvement in Sydney’s whisky scene make them an Sydney icon. Worthy of true greatness - I’m obviously a fan. Well done to their team and I can’t wait to visit them every chance I get.

We had a gin tasting experience at Archie bro’s, first time myself and my partner had an alcohol experience and didn’t know what we were expecting. The hospitality service from our Archie bro’s staff RIAHNE! It went for 2 hours and she honestly made every single minute worth every penny. We took so much out of it and know 100 times more about gin then we previously did. Riahne Is such a great human who knows so much about everything there is and was to know about Gin and... she’s only been working there for 8 months!?!? We thought she was a manager! She was un real and we couldn’t of asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to buy the experience as gifts for our friends 21st. Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who adores alcohol. Thank you Riahne xx

Since COVID hit we've been 3 times. 2 of those they had a couple of very rude staff. Bought friends in to show them the place and now I'm not bothering to come back. It's a shame especially considering the economic situation.

I attended the Gin tasting experience yesterday with friends and i was seriously impressed! Riahne took us through how the Gin was made, history of the art and how to create seriously good drinks with three of Archie Rose's current Gin blends. I had no idea the detail that goes into making a great Gin! The setting was lovely upstairs and we were able to have a few other drinks downstairs after the experience. Food platters looked amazing too. Well done! Highly recommend!

Beautiful venue with high ceiling and timber deco. Great drinks with reasonable price. Extensive and quality selection of gin, whiskey and vodka. I recommend the gin flights, as well as white rye gin with apple juice. Good for casual drinks, gathering and functions. They offer pretty nice food too if you're hungry.
