Surpassed expectations. Visually stunning, beautiful decor, great ambiance and attentive service. However, the most surprising aspect was the standard of food which was exceptional. The cooking, flavours and presentation would easily be considered Michelin standard. The live entertainment was fun and jovial. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again.

Rather luxury place if you compare to other places with food in Marrakech. Perfect service and really marvelous design. Food is as good as in cheap restaurants on old town. I expected something more for triple price. I recommend if you don’t like to eat in simple places.

My second time visiting. Everything was amazing - service, food, vibe and the entertainment. It is expensive/ high end but you know this before booking. It was also our anniversary and they brought us a cake and sprinkled rose petals on us - complimentary. Very fun and kind.

I like the place and the ambiance. We did not reserve and they offered a terrace, it was even better for dinner. For the food we went for the menu and it was excellent Moroccan food. The wine was also good. The only thing I would recommend to serve a wine in real big wine glasses. After the dinner we went up to the bar and it was cool as well. Fully recommended

Superb service and atmosphere. Food is to a high standard, the staff are super friendly, and the entertainment is one of the best I have experienced, especially that finale with the crescendo. Gave me chills..

I loved the place. The vibe and ambiance were amazing. The stuff, in particular our person Chorole were awesome. She was super attentive and recommend some great dishes. We loved the lamb shoulder. The portion is also huge so you can share it with 2 or more people. The salad starter came with various small plates and each had their own taste. The lobster gyozo was my favourite. Cooked to perfection and great taste. We recommend this place 10/10!

Nice place to entertain yourself with alcohol, good food, and beautiful belly dancers. The dance starts at 10ish so make sure you take your time to eat. You can tip the dancer by putting bills in their bra, prepare some changes if you feel like doing so. Love their Ravioli and couscous. Service is good too.

Simply FUN! The belly dancing was a great touch, the dancers were engaging, and the ambiance was intimate yet open. The cocktail menu was a nice treat as well. Will go back when in Morocco.

This place came highly recommended to us, and I’m passing that on to you dear reader. If you’re looking for a great night out in Marrakesh then go here. Very very good food and superb drinks are combined with wonderful (and i hope traditional) entertainment. Women dancing with candelabras on their heads! Just fantastic. The set menu is 400 dirham, circa £35 - which is probably a bit dear for Marrakesh bearing in mind one place we ate at was 35 dirham for a tagine. however, this is DEFINITELY worth your money. You’ll have a very memorable night here. You’ll love the food and you’ll love the entertainment. One final word is to the staff and service - given its pretty dark and quite loud, the staff were fantastic at getting the orders right, serving quickly and efficiently and were very friendly.

AmaZing top to bottom. Super sexy and chic, open late, super classy and amazing food and service. Not to mention the live music entertainment was excellent. HIGHLY recommend. Couldn’t find another venue that compares. Also very international and lovely staff and bar. The food presentation is excellent.

A classic in Marrakech! Always come back there. Downstairs grand restaurant serving delicious Moroccan dishes. Fairy like decorations and cozy lighting with Moroccan colored fabrics everywhere. Outside garden for chisha, upstairs bar and club late night. Belly dancers show, also mingling around the restaurant tables downstairs at some hours. Just go there, don't thank me!

Top restaurant in Marrakech, or I can say even in whole Morrocco. Why? 1. The environment is super good. The interior decoration is local yet international. There is a band directly after the entrance. 2. Live music was wonderful when we were there on Wednesday. They have live music, singing and local dancing with candle fire. Check the website for the performance date if you want to experience. 3. Cocktails are very creative and high quality. I ordered 2 while my friends 3 and we love all of them. Food is also nice, local one or international one at your decision. Ensure you make some reservation beforehand to avoid waiting or being refused to enter.

I dined here in February on the tail end of a tour across Morocco with girl friends. The food is delicious. The decor is opulent. The service is attentive. The live music was really fun and energetic. It’s everything that you want a night out in Morocco to be.

Come here for the live entertainment and drinks, rather than the food. Although the service was polite and attentive, giving it a 3 stars as food was lacking. I came here for dinner on Saturday and I started with a mocktail. I had the lamb chops but there were only 4 small pieces, so I was left feeling hungry. The side of vegetables were also drenched in oil. Given the portion size was tiny and it cost 240 MAD, it wasn't the best value. I got the Moroccan donuts for dessert and they also weren't great as they were far too dense. I had an 8pm reservation which I think is slightly too early here. I'd recommend making a reservation for 9-9:30pm, so you can enjoy the music and belly dancing (they come out at 9:30pm).

Comptoir Darna is a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Marrakech. The service is impeccable, the food is divine, and the atmosphere is pure magic. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a night out with friends and family.

We had dinner here on the first day of our time in Morocco and it set the bar so high!! My partner loved the lamb and I tried (I usually do not eat lamb at all) it was so tender and surprisingly not gamey at all. The chicken was also super flavorful. We went for the first sitting, and the show started at 9:30pm. It was great fun and the whole place had good vibe.

We read a review and went in without a reservation, but the entertainment was over, so we skipped for that night. But took a reservation for the next day and it was worth it! The food was very tasty, traditional Moroccan dishes. We made the reservation for the dinner and belly dance, both were very good. There were two shows one at 9 PM and another at 11Pm I think. We took a 8 PM reservation and the food is good, dancers were entertaining!! We did not wait for the 11PM show since we have to travel the next day. This restaurant was better than the one we visited the previous day.

This was a mixed bag for me. The food we chose was not so great considering the prices. The cocktails are delicious, and there is always some entertainment going on there. Definitely try to get in on a Friday or Saturday, and you will love the shows. It's definitely not a place to have a quiet dinner.

This place was so much fun! I ordered the 3 course dining experience which included appetizers, dinner, dessert and tea. The lamb Tajine was simply divine! The entertainment was also really nice, there was a traditional motto on group playing traditional instruments from the country, and there was also a multitude of belly dancers. I would definitely recommend to go here for a fun Moroccan experience.

We came to Morocco 4 years ago for my wife’s birthday, and found this gem on instagram…. Food was unreal… decor and ambience was amazing too!!! Loved the musicians playing the traditional instruments in the steps leading to the bar on the first floor…. We have revisited again in 2023…. And if anything, it’s only got better!!!!

An amazing dinner we had, the waitresses serve you warmly with a smile on faces. Delicious and well cooked, the dancers... just everything, very professional. Thank you so much for your services and hope the customers will enjoy that experience as we did 😌

We had an incredible reception of the hostess and waitresses, the show was amazing! The only bad thing was how the maitre and the tall waiter treated us at the moment of paying, the dataphone didn’t work with our card, and they didn’t had a good actitud with us even they looked bad at us, what they thought that we didn’t had the money!? Incredible, we payed in € of cash! So imagine.. they were favored by the euro in cash! There actitud wasn’t good and we could have had a total incredible experience if it weren’t for them! You should update the system with card paid by phone. Except that.. everything else was really really good!

Beautiful restaurant. It’s pricey but worth it. Make your reservation for 8:30pm/9pm so you can fully enjoy the show which is really nice. The dancers are beautiful and love to interact with guests. Don’t forget to tip them!

Very 1st day in Marrakech. Googled a restaurant nearby the hotel. Very nice atmosphere and high level service (Thanks to Sana). Menu was full of interesting Moroccon items. I chose 3 course menu with Royal Couscous. I really enjoyed the taste vegetable soup as a side. Spectacular dessert with raspberry and whipped cream.

One of the best venues to visit in Marakesh. The venue itself is worth seeing, beautifully presented, from the welcome of the reception staff to servers all was perfect. We had the set menu, several cocktails and entertainment of belly dancers to traditional Moroccan band and singers. Thanks to all at Comptaire Darna for making our visit memorable.

Myself and my partner visited back in May and this was one of the best nights of our trip the Marrakesh. The lamb shoulder was incredible, and very filling as we were warned by our very helpful server. The cocktails were very tasty and the menu was varied, both for cocktails and wine. We also witnessed the show, which was a great touch to an already wonderful evening. This is a very special dining experience that I would encourage all travellers to enjoy during their stay in the city.

Comptoir Darna is a very famous place in Marrakech one of the leading places for me, if it is about the dinner show and clubbing. Comptoir manages to make a smooth transition from the dinner to the show, live band and DJ. Food and cocktails where excellent and the service is also very high end. They do a great job and are fully booked almost every time i checked. Remember to drop your reservation early enough.

We choose perfectly to celebrate my birthday evening at Comptoir Darna and we just had a blast: the dancing, the food and the atmosphere were wow. We loved it! Plus Abdulah from reception made sure we get a great service and seating. Thanks!!!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!! 10/10! First of all, the service is IMPECCABLE. You feel like a king/queen the moment you sit down. I went to refill my water and next thing I know, the waitress has the bottle in her hand and is pouring it for me. I turn to look for the waitress to order another round of drinks, and seemingly out of nowhere, she's right there- anticipating your whim almost. The atmosphere is enchanting..every room has such a great vibe, look, and even smell. The food. TO DIE FOR. Worth every dh. It started at the amouse bouche..incredible. A must try is the chicken pastilla and lamb mechoui... I literally had to put them on my "Best things I've ever eaten" list. Finally, they surprised my fiancee and I with a dessert , as I wrote in notes we were celebrating out engagement..incredibly thoughtful. The entertainment was GORGEOUS. the girls are super friendly and fun, and it was just the right amount. They even asked me to get up and dance with them. An absolute must you cannot miss when in Marrakesh, and I can't wait to bring friends and family here. Highly highly recommended!

Excellent place with superior service, cosy atmosphere and tasty food. It's a bit pricy but in my opinion worth every penny. Live music, belly dancing and shows were a lot of fun! Food was very good, especially lamb tajine. Worth of mentioning- they offer very good Moroccan wines, I was surprised by It's good quality 👌 a definitely must go but book in advance since it's pretty popular place

This is THE place to come to in marrakech if you want the best traditonal moroccan food and cultural experience. We came back in may 2023 and it was amazing. Great live music, DJ and dancing and service was great. The ambience and decor is top notch! Book in advance as it gets very busy very quickly! Crowd are mainly french, european and american tourists but has a few well heeled locals too

My/Our experience at Comptoir Dana was disappointing! We were a group of 10 in town for a 50th birthday and choose Comptoir for the birthday dinner We got a warm welcome from the security. There’s a good atmosphere, the welcoming team were quite warm also and we were told we had been given one the best seats in the house 🤥 I would say things went down hill from there. The table arrangement was awkward. The waiters needed to stretch over the table to serve the other half of the group. The service was kinda slow or perhaps I wanted things done faster, like bringing more ice to cool the wine without asking multiple times. My bottle of white wine was slightly warm and our starter was tepid. More ice saved the white wine hence one more star. The food overall was a let-down. We all ordered different items on the menu and not one person had anything great to say. The meals were dry and overcooked!!! The best part of the night at Comptoir was when it was time to leave, we were so excited to be on our way. I have decided not to review the entertainment on offer (belly dancing and candle carrying dancing) because not sure what that was about, perhaps a cultural significance.

Comptoir Darna is one top destination that I would recommend any visitor to Marrakech, classy place with authentic Moroccan and international food. Special thanks to Bahija and the other girl who served us and were really helpful and professional. Respect to the team, you are doing a great job.

Me and my boyfriend was having the most amazing experince at Comptoir darna - Marrakech. We ordered a menu with starters, main meal and dessert, everything was extra ordinary and the service by Sana and the rest of the crew was on point. We are both vegetarian and there was no problem finding food that we could eat. I would recommend this place for everyone that seeks a traditional Moroccan restaurant but with a twist.

It's my second time going and I was frustrated and very disappointed. At no time was I warned that there was no show (the best reason to go) , the menu in English was very small to be readed with a candle light and was not available on the web and it was impossible to be comfortably seated on stools, next to a tiny table and at the foot of the DJ. A very bad experience, I've never had before.

  • 5/5 Matthew C. 1 year ago on Google
Exceeded our expectations. Probably the best meal we had in Marrakech. Also it’s timed perfectly so your meal ends with an epic show. The show was surprisingly good whereas other places we went it felt awkward. Really enjoyed the live music while dining as well. Delicious food and a reasonable price.

Nice place to go and take friends to showcase some traditional moroccan culture. The lamb leg is a nice serving of lamb that feed 3-4 for about $50 usd, so if you want to enjoy a shared meal that's the one. most of the other menu items however draw from Italian or Asian influence, but the flavors are good and on point. Crispy duck was very tasty and so was the house cocktail. They bring in house belly dancers to dining room periodically which is a unique amazing experience!

A must if you go to Morocco. Very easily booked a table through the website and received a quick confirmation. The staff were very kind and looked after us well, even though the place was packed out. At 22:00 the show began. It was a smaller show than we expected but great nonetheless. We had lots of warm bread, but do not fill yourself up on this as the mains are still to come. Do try the lobster ravioli if you visit!

Our experience was amazing! They put on a really good show. The food was absolutely delicious! It was our 8th day in Morocco and the vegetarian tagine (Berber tagine) was the best so far! Everything we ordered was just perfect. The staff is remarkably attentive as well. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Marrakech.

We had a really nice evening last night. There are 2 sittings, including the show with both. We were 1st sitting, booked for 7.30 but you can book for any time with the show starting at 9.30 and the table is yours until 10.30. The food and service were really nice, and I am normally very pessimistic. Sana, our waitress was top-notch. The show was good, tip the dancers if you want them to stay at your table, sounds wrong, not that sort of place honest, they come round all tables on the ground floor and there are multiple dancers, but if they are being fun with you then it's good to tip a little, if you hate interaction like me then just enjoy but don't play up to them and they will soon move on, it was very relaxed and fun. No hassle to spend money or order more drinks, we had a great night.

A great place for food and entertainment. We made a reservation at 845pm so we can eat and then enjoy the dances that start at 1000pm. The dancers were "mild" so you need not worry about them forcefully pulling you up to dance together and take photos. Give tips if you do so though. Our lamb shoulder for 2 were great. Attentive staff. Price is fair for such a place.

The service at this restaurant was too notch. The entertainment was really cool. I had beef. The restaurant was very authentic from the decorations to the dark ambiance lit with candles. There is smoking. Such a fun experience. I also had vanilla icecream and a fruit mocktail.

Absolutely amazing experience. We came for an 8:45pm reservation on a Saturday. We took our time knowing there would be live entertainment at 10pm and it was not a letdown. Cocktails were excellent, food was excellent, service was excellent. What a great experience. I got the lamb and my my girlfriend got the beef. We had the Moroccan doughnuts for dessert and the goat cheese as an appetizer.

Big, interesting restaurant providing nice shows and quite good food and drinks. It's good for one time I guess. However, I was surprised that you can meet people in shorts eating the dinner in a rather expensive restaurant in Marrakesh.

Vibrant, loud and buzzing atmosphere. Super friendly service from everyone. Don't come here if you want to drink on a budget....! food prices are reasonable until you get to the alcohol, which is expected given where you are. Vegetarian starter was lovely followed by chicken and gnocchi. Great portions especially the veg berber tagine...enough for two!! Go for the dancing girls, they are excellent !
