Great experience and great food, but the staff isn't really the friendliest of them all, and if you go on the second shift - like we went, at 9.45pm, then they just keep pressuring you to choose the plates or go from the entries to the main meal. You could tell they wanted you to just pick already, as they came to the table 2 or 3 times more than necessary throughout the whole meal. Other than that, don't miss it because the food IS good, well presented and with all the right spices, and the meat is certainly high quality.

Very upscale place with great ambiance and excellent service. It’s meant for the upper class folk, so it serves that purpose but as with most places, the food isn’t spectacular, but is definitely good. The prices again reflect the ambiance and service. About MAD 150 per dish average. We had to order an entree each as a minimum. We walked in at 7pm and were only given an hour at the table because the restaurant was completely reserved. And they weren’t lying; it was fully booked. We were served bread and olives to start. Their hot sauce is also quite spicy, but on the sour side. We had a bunch of Tajines; - mix brochettes (skewers) with saffron rice - beef meatballs in tomato sauce with egg - chicken cubes in curry - beef steak in tomato sauce and caramel used onions (it was really sweet) Almond pastry for dessert, with vanilla ice cream. The staff truly wanted you to have a good experience, so if you had any issues or wants, they would work to fix it.

Lovely decor & overall ambiance so this is a perfect date night spot. Also nice for special gatherings or simply meeting up with friends. I enjoyed the variety salad & pastries. The tapas style servings were pretty filling. Royal mojito was a bit too sweet for my taste but my dining partner raved about it. Service prompt & pleasant. Nice to see an all female staff. All forms of payment accepted (including AMEX).

Didn't live up to the hype. Visited for an authentic morrocan experience. The building was beautiful, the staff are friendly. Lots on the menu to choose from, the staff werent very helpful at helping navigate the menu. I had the kebab and saffron rice, it was a little salty and I didn't enjoy it very much. The tagines were standard tagines - we tried a lamb and vegetable one. We were served bread and olives at the start, but no butter or olive oil was provided for the bread, so we had to ask for some.

Just got back from 4 nights here. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Myra and the whole team work so hard to make everything perfect. The hotel and grounds are so beautiful. Food is amazing. Just a short taxi ride from the centre and the airport. Go there!

Like some other reviewers we saw Al Fassia on a BBC food show and decided it would be ideal to visit during our time in Marrakech and for our wedding anniversary. We walked to the restaurant through a sandstorm, arrived early and they could not find our booking but said it wouldn't be a problem and seated us at a table. I was a bit worried as we had pre-ordered the lamb shoulder, which is slow cooked for 24 hrs beforehand, when we made our reservation. The host, Samira, asked if we had our booking confirmation so I opened my emails on my phone and she went away to check coming back 5 minutes later saying everything was in place and put my mind at ease. The service was fabulous, the ladies very warm and friendly and the food was superb - so tasty, the flavours amazing. Samira made sure everything was perfect and returned after our mains to ask about our anniversary, she then asked what was our 'song' and that the ladies would also like to sing for us and wish us a 'happy anniversary'. The other patrons were a bit bemused as to why one minute Moroccan music was playing then the next it was Dolly Parton and Kenny Rodgers belting it out! Samira passed around the tables explaining the occasion. The ladies then sang for us and it was very special. Between the great food, warm and friendly staff, not forgetting the doorman and relaxed atmosphere, I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and service. Try the roasted lamb here and the chicken, onion and tomato tagine. If you go when they open at 12.30pm it's nice and quiet and you can relax and eat at a leisurely pace. The waitresses here are wonderful local ladies. The facilities are clean and well presented. Highly recommend the walk here!

I cannot fault this restaurant everything was perfect the food the ambiance and the service 10/10. The best dinning experience I have ever had. I highly recommend anyone reading this review to go try it for yourself you will not be disappointed! I have been trying for over 2 years to try this restaurant out since seeing it on TV and am so glad it was meant to be this time. The moment we arrived the service was impeccable- a man walked us to the door of the restaurant and held open the door before walking back to his post outside. We walked into a beautiful yet simple dinning room. We were greeted and welcomed by the wonderful host Samira who showed us to our table and spoke to us all (myself, my husband and our daughters). Samira was attentive throughout and extremely professional. Our waitress Imane was so sweet and extremely professional and the way in which she served the food was so mesmerizing. We ordered the salads as a starter which came as many small plates and servings of a variety of Moroccan salads. The portions were the perfect size for the number of different salads you get to try. We also has the hummus and taboleh and the stuffed filo pastries. For mains we ordered the lamb shoulder which is slow cooked for 7 hours as well as a chicken and caramelised onion with raisin tagine and a beef and vegetable couscous. Each meal was perfectly cooked and seasoned and felt like they were cooked with love at home ❤️ Finally we enjoyed a light but very tasty filo pastry with apple and cinnamon served warm with vanilla ice cream and a pot of stay (mint tea) while the kids enjoyed a beautiful made fresh fruit salad. Thank you to all the ladies working at Al-Fassia from the kitchen to the front of house you all do an amazing job and it really is noticed. I hope to come again soon!

Nice traditional Moroccan food with a great concept. Al Fassia is in a great location, has beautiful decor and a lovely concept of having an all-women team to help boost the profile of women in the hospitality industry. We enjoyed a hearty meal that was full of flavour and had decent quality. We were able to find a table without a reservation, though this might have been why we were seated on a small cramped table 😂. The tables and chairs are generally really small for some reason, so be aware if you’re tall. One of the waitresses was a bit cold but generally the service was nice and they sang, clapped and played music for people who were celebrating their birthdays.

Nice restaurant, food was very good, usual Moroccan dishes, but done very well, and at reasonable prices. We went on Saturday night and it was very busy. I’d booked online and didn’t realise when I didn’t get a confirmation email that my reservation had not been accepted, which was silly of me! But they still found a table for us and we had a lovely meal. Tip - they served the red chilled, so if you don’t like that make sure to tell your waitress.

They are open again (guliez branch) and agudal will open on the 17th of June. My favorite Moroccon Resturant in Marrakesh. Simple yet tasty traditional Moroccon food made by a Resturant run fully and serviced by ladies. I got the royal couscous and I was into a surprise since you get everything kebab chicken beef and of course the bistila is a must. Highly recommended

Al Fassia is definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting Marrakech. The food was delicious , the service was impeccable and the ambience was perfect! The staff were very attentive to my husband and I and they made sure we were comfortable throughout our dining experience. I would definitely recommend the selection of fine salads as you get a taste of all the local salads and you still have room for main course and dessert 😁 the dishes were full of flavor and delightful. The homemade lemonade is also a must try and is quite refreshing after a long day! Thank you to the staff for the amazing food and experience💕

Food is good, nothing really exceptional but good and those tables and chairs.. oh yes those tables and chairs super super uncomfortable! Then be prepared to be seated in small tables and low chairs.

Delicious traditional food and a friendly staff. The service was good, except the language barrier with some of the staff, but it was alright. I had the chicken tagine (the one with prunes & almonds), and it was full of various flavours: nuts, veggies, fruits... Don't worry about the mains' portion, it was way more than enough for one. The seating/tables could have been better, but we didn't have time to sit for hours and chill anyway.

I don’t know why this restaurant was given such a high ranking. The two weeks we spent in Morocco, the service and friendly waiters everywhere are far better this one. Food is ok but not any particular. I enjoy a small restaurant and talked to every friendly waiters instead of this arrogant attitude service. It is a “Tourist Trap”!

It was recommended by a Moroccan freind . Location was easy to find . Polite and freidnly staff . Good decor . Quick service. Prices very nominal for the quality of food . Fish tagine was amazing

I take half responsibility for this but I cannot deny the fact that I had the worst Tajine dish in Morocco here. It's a big sample size because everywhere we went we always had at least some kind of a Tajine dish. I loved the caramelised onions in my chicken Tajine and ordered caramelised onions and tomatoes Tajine which turned out to taste like an unbearably sweet Tajine because the caramelised tomatoes were basically like a fruit jam. It's sweeter than any dessert you can think of that would be considered sweet. I tried pushing them to the side of the plate but it was still very inedible. Absolutely bizarre. I must admit that their lentil soup was pretty good and I'm happy I ordered it. The atmosphere is rather a bit dark. I'm a big fan of being able to see whatever I'm trying to eat properly. Overall, it was not a great experience. Will not go back again if I ever return to Marrakech. God, I can still remember the disappointment I was feeling after the first bite of that dessert Tajine.

An overall great experience. The main courses « Tagine Kefta » and « Tagine agneau pruneau et amandes » were succulent. The only flaw was the starters. Service was super great and staff very kind. I highly recommend it.

We have just had an amazing meal here. The portion sizes are just right. The quality of the chicken was excellent. The tagine was served with a bowl of couscous. So no need to order a side. The female team were great.

You need booking for this place otherwise you might be unable to try the most delicious lamb shoulders in the world. (And I am from Bosnia a country that has the best meat!) The portion of lamp shoulders is for 2 people and costs 640 MAD. (I would say that even 3 people can eat this portion)

A great restaurant if you are up for a traditional Moroccan food like Tagine. Offers lots of varieties of Tagine cooked in the clay pot. The restaurant is so popular and busy that even on weekdays you might need to book it in advance. The prices are slightly higher but the taste is really really good

Absolutely delicious food. Make sure to pre-order the lamb shoulder special (Dalaa). It was so amazing. The service was impeccable.

Amazing food! One of the best places to eat here. The service isn't great though, and we had things we asked for and didn't get so we've had to ask again and again. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, but it was way too hot in there and the table and chairs height is very uncomfortable.

My husband I visited on 3rd December for lunch. Wow! The customer service was impeccable. We had to try the selection of fine salads, which was 110 dhs. It was nice to try these items out. Although if some of the dishes were warm, I think it would have been better. We both ordered the lemonade, it's homemade. This is a must. For the main, We were recommended to order the Roasted Lamb shoulder for 2 to be shared with couscous and vegetable, I was so glad we chose to have that it was the best thing we found In Marakech to eat. The meat fell of the bones also had loads of flavour, which is rare as they rarely use many spices except cumin and salt. The portion was big. We were full for the day

Lovely staff, nice interior but slightly uncomfortable sofas. Food is very good but not quite worth the hype they get. Roast lamb shoulder with almonds and caramelised onions was very tasty but screaming out for a sauce of some sort. The smokey aubergine dip was amazing.

If you want Moroccan food but fancy then this is your place. Want couscous every day, this is your place. It's expensive and pretty ideal for people who are a bit squeamish about traditional Moroccan restaurants. Service and ambience are spotless

Absolute amazing Experience… The food was delicious, the waitresses were very professional and the ambience was super nice. Must try is Moroccan Salads and Lamb Shoulder.

  • 2/5 Patrick L. 2 years ago on Google
We had high expectations as this was one of the most reputable dining experiences available in town. The food was average (pigeon pastilles, couscous royal, oranges with cinnamon), the service poor and lacking attention and personality. In and out in less than an hour… express disappointment it was!

We had dinner today in Al Fassia and it was beyond amazing. Food is delicious, meat is very tender and well seasoned. Staff is very helpful and welcoming, they recommend the veal tajin with couscous and also chicken with pumpkin. Both were extremely good. The vegetarian appetizer was tasty but portions were very small and that was the only downside. Highly recommend this place if you are in Marrakesh.

There is no question on the food quality..exemplary but the restaurant is incredibly popular so wait times between courses can be a while...we waited 20 minutes between main and dessert.

Wonderful ambiance.Traditional Moroccan/Classical decor. Greeted with mixed olives, bread and cold water and given. As a new vegetarian, I went with the veg set menu, starters are houmous, smoked aubergine, salad. For mains I chose the vegetable coucous, for desert the fruit salad, followed by Morocco tea. Blown away by quality. I come Morocco regularly and travel around the country. Best restaurant I've come by so far.
