We had dinner at La Trattoria yesterday where we had Bruschetta as starters and then I had risotto with lamb shank and my boyfriend the spaghetti frutti di mare. Later in the evening it became clear that the quality of the food wasn’t good as my boyfriend ended up with food poisoning. It’s really sad, because we have been very cautious and carefully choosing where to eat :( Now the rest of our trip is ruined. Although the service was friendly, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, I can not recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful restaurant with a beautiful scenery. The food was exquisite and the service was second to none. Definitely lives up to the reputation and is worth a visit. Prices were very reasonable in comparison to other restaurants on par. I’d advise you to book in advance as there was a queue out the door when we left at 10pm.

Great environment and staff (all of them speak English). If you want to avoid local food, after a lot of fats eating tagine, it's a great Italian option. Restaurant is also very beautiful, with a lot of details and good food.

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service. The staff speaks impeccable English and I'm sure their French is the same. It's a gorgeous restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was a big disappointment. The "24-hour braised" beef shoulder was inedible - I didn't eat half of it. The seafood pasta was the same or worse as what you can find at any restaurant in Morocco, except twice as expensive. The red sauce pasta my kids had was the best thing we had, ironically. As beautiful as this place is, I won't be back. $100 for a tasteless meal is far too much, especially in Morocco.

Important note: If you want to sit next to the pool, make sure to specify this when you are making the reservation. These tables fill up quickly, and are the best ones. Review: Had an amazing lasagna. Excellent service, perfect vibe, no complaints. Sat right next to the pool, which was a great spot for a dinner. Reserve table some days in advance, as this place was filled up the day before when we tried to call in for a booking the same evening. Also, the staff happily arranged taxi pick-up for us upon request. We arrived 1.5 hr early, and relaxed in the outer area for some drinks. A table at the reserved time was guaranteed, but we were let known about a table that became available early, and were given that, which was nice.

Italian restaurant in Gueliz, Marrakech. The place is spectacular. Having dinner there is like having dinner in a small Marrocian palace. If you are from Italy or you are an Italian food lover, don't expect to have the best Italian food although it was very nice. We tried the Salmon Fettuccini and the Tricolore Pasta and were very tasty. Being located in Marrakech it is not cheap, a bottle of water costs 40Dha (4€). The overall experience was very good as we were impressed by the place and the food was good.

Fantastic meal in a sumptuous atmosphere. I had the saffron risotto, and my wife the tagine ravioli. Great Moroccan twists on Italian classics. Service was attentive and not overbearing. You pay a bit extra, but it's worth it.

From the moment you step through the entrance, the restaurant captivates with its beautiful aesthetic and meticulous attention to detail. Despite several days immersed in Moroccan cuisine, we opted for something more Italian and were thoroughly impressed. My choice, the lasagna, was exceptional, and the chocolate volcano for dessert was nothing short of incredible. The consensus among my friends echoed my delight, as they also raved about the excellence of their dishes. Our overall experience at the restaurant was fantastic, enhanced by the friendly staff who went the extra mile to capture memorable pictures of us from various angles within the beautifully adorned venue. In essence, this is a place that beckons you to visit and leaves you eager to return.

We loved the romantic lighting and the large open space covered with plants. The food was quite good as well. We tried the scallops with an avocado sauce, chicken and mushroom fenticcine, and spaghetti burata. Everything was tasty but there wasn't a stand out dish

Wow. It’s stunning here! Highlight of our trip. Book in advance for a nice table. The atmosphere was amazing and the restaurant is so pretty. The food was delicious, the best meal of our holiday. I had the jumbo prawns and tagliatelle. The wine was lovely too. I’d pre-ordered a birthday cake for my boyfriend and they came out and sang for us, cake was amazing too. Team were really friendly, great service, they even had members opening your taxi door :) I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. We were celebrating our engagement and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. From rose petals on our table to candles in our desserts and a huge congratulations from the waiters and the entire restaurant. The service, food and atmosphere were 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was such a beautiful restaurant too. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Marrakech

Service here was amazing and managed to fill my request of a table by the pool in the center. Food was great as well as the constant service from our waiter. As we left the hostess gave my partner a rose as it was Valentine’s Day which was a lovely touch!

This restaurant has a very beautiful setting and a great ambience. We couldn't get a pool side table for dinner as they're super busy and get booked well in advance. The food is delicious and the service is quite good. Overall, an amazing experience with great Italian food.

A completely different environment for a resturant that I have ever been to. A beautiful riad setting with lanterns hanging from above, and a bright blue pool. The service was brilliant. Fast and comfortable and went out of their way to put our phones on charge, fetch any extras etc. The food itself was spot on. Tasty, fresh, and cooked with care 😋

A magical evening, good service and food. Odd Location we almost missed this restaurant. Pricy but worth it for a special occasion. Disappointed that we could not get a poolside view even though empty tables were available. Dim lighting, be careful that you do not trip. Expensive soda.

If you’re looking for a place for a proposal or a romantic dinner I would recommend this place! The food is usually good, however the last time I was here most things were off!! My friend ordered a dish without garlic (allergies), got the dish with garlic… had to reorder and wait for another meal! The lasagna was dry. Too much seasoning bruschetta. ***The Tangia ravioli should be back on the menu! *** Even though it wasn’t my best experience, I still recommend this place! I have to point out that it’s was fully booked on a weekday. So don’t forget to book a table. Hoping next time the food will be on point again! Booked here for my partners birthday. Left with mixed feelings. The place inside is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. The food was good although small portions for the price. Went for a chocolate birthday cake which they supplied, this was beautiful! The bad bits were we wasn’t seated to our table for nearly an hour after arrival, and we had to ask multiple staff around 5 times for my drink which never arrived. I think the staff were either rushed off their feet or haven’t had much training. Booking is recommended as it’s gets super busy here!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and atmospheric. The pool in the middle surrounded by palm trees looks amazing. Nice background music. I ordered filet steak with mushroom sauce and my friend ordered prime rib. I enjoyed the meat however my friend didn't really like it and didn't even finish as meat was hard to chew. We ordered desserts, fondant cake and tiramisu. Those were nice. The main thing which got us is service. Our table was approached by 3 different people and I think they didn't coordinate well. We had our main and we were asked 3 times how is it :))) Sometimes waiters are trying hard that they make things not better but worse. I would suggest not to attack clients with way too much attention. Also I don't know how the tipping system works but we left a tip and then it seems that waiter took it and immediately run away:))) seemed like he tried to hide it but again we don't know if it's share tip or each to its own. Other than that, the hostess was very polite and the gentleman at the exit played nice song on his dombra (not sure if it's the right name for the guitar looking thing)

La Trattoria Marrakech is an absolute gem! I visited for a special birthday dinner and was blown away. The lasagna was a delightful fusion of rich flavors, perfectly baked to a cheesy perfection. The chicken Alfredo, a creamy, garlicky dream with perfectly cooked pasta - a real highlight. The star of the show, however, was the tiramisu. It was light, airy, and had just the right amount of coffee flavor. But what really made the night special was the staff. They gathered around our table and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ with such warmth and enthusiasm - a 5-star experience through and through!!!!

Food was good but not exceptional .I had la côte de boeuf. Service was just ok which is strange as there were a lot of waiters but not many people to be served. We arrived for the 7 pm service and restaurant was still empty. I think we didn't get to enjoy the night services with the lights.

I was very excited to eat here, it's all over social media and offers something outside the normal Marrakech experience. This place lives up to that in it's atmosphere. Beautifully set like a riad and has great ambience. The food aswell is delicious and presented well. Cocktails aswell were beautifully crafted. Where I would fault it is in the minor things which all adds up to a major. Most of these will sound pedantic but at the price point in this restaurant would would expect these to be nailed. Firstly, we ordered white wine which they served in giant red wine glasses. They put the white wine behind us to cool in an ice bath, and because of this several times we had to pour the wine ourselves. Second, we ordered a rose to follow the white wine. We asked for fresh wine glasses. The waiter correctly gave us glasses to suit these wine but alas they were chipped... Not enough to cause issues but enough for us to drink from them carefully to not cut our noses. Finally, when it came to the bill we were asked to go to the counter/bar to pay?! When we got there we had to wait for 10 minutes before anyone noticed we needed to pay. No real explanation for this either... Overall a good restaurant with great potential but at the price point it needs to improve a lot more to be comparable to others like it in Europe and Africa.

Very welcoming. Professional services. Great for couples. Very romantic. Great design and atmosphere. I tried only one dish which was a mix between Italian and Moroccan cuisines . Ravioli Chef's Special à la Tanjia. It was good but i will try the traditional Ravioli next time.

I was very excited to have dinner in this place and didn't expect to be disappointed but unfortunately that is what happened. This place is soooo hot that you will most likely sweat like crazy plus they use humidifier so heavily to cool down the place that is not effective plus it distroys the vibe. Had water dripping on me from leaves all evening. Food very average, service was OK. Maybe in autumn and winter it's better place to dine in than hot summer months.

It was the place we chose for our wedding anniversary on our Marrakech vacation. They responded very quickly to the e-mail we sent for reservation. Make sure to book before you go as it is a popular place. Same ambiance as the photos we saw on social media , very spacious and authentic place. Seems open air but fully covered. Casual but stylish clothes should be preferred. But I strongly recommend to be there for dinner. Can be more impressive. Foods are average.

What a view! This place was so so beautiful. I can recommend this place to visit just for the location itself. We took a moctail, main course and dessert however it was just not that good. I was a little disappointed about to taste because the presentation was also very nice. The staff was friendly but we had the feeling that this friendliness changed the second we paid and didn’t tip. It’s also not the cheapest restaurant in Marrakesh. I hope they can do better in the future because it really is a nice place

This place was unreal. We had not booked a table inadvance and were happy to eat outside however a table then became available inside who h the team kindly offered us and we do not regret our decision to take it. Such a calm atmosphere, beautiful and classy interior. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. I had the fettuccine with prawns and it was so delicious and creamy! Will definitely go again when I return to Morocco!

One of the most romantic restaurants in Marrakech or in anywhere. This used to be Mr Yves Saint Laurent’s favorite restaurant in Morocco. The ambience is very romantic. Reserve early and book a table around the pool. The Italian food was good. The serving is a little slow. Every dish was tasty. They could use some chili flakes in seafood pasta dish to make it more interesting but they don’t have chili flakes.

A beautiful restaurant with amazing food. The live music was lovely and the atmosphere was great. The majority of staff were really friendly, although it was a very busy night! Great seats next to the pool.

Read this before booking! A must visit! Beautiful place with great ambiance inside. Recommend asking for table by the pool inside. Lovely attentive service and some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had outside of Italy. All the fresh ingredients and flavours where beautiful. Overall great place you will get great food, good service and amazing pictures.

Wunderful restaurant with excellent service and food at its best!

This place is the most incredible restaurant I have been ever. Firstly the atmosphere and scenery is stunning. The staff offered us time to have a drink before our meal which was lovely. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and took my breath away. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the burrata which is a must and the ravioli we asked to have as a starter to share which a great choice. We both had fillet steak which was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. A complete must if your visiting Marrakesh.

Food was great. Decor and ambiance is unbelievable. But it's soooooooo hot in there. Like, uncomfortably hot. Hard to enjoy the food. Marrakech as a whole needs ceiling fans and this place could use them as well!!! Other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves. And thank you for singing the birthday song to my best friend!!!

Had a wonderful evening in La Trattoria, we had a 7pm booking. The restaurant was super quiet when we arrived. The service was fantastic, the food was delightful I had the salmon pasta dish and my partner the tomato pasta as she is veggie. The restaurant itself is simply stunning with the fantastic pool as a centre piece and a range of trees and plants. It's worlds apart from outside the front doors. It was still light when we were there, but if you take a later booking I can only imagine how beautiful it is, they have so many candles and beautiful lights
