Reviews are correct. Food was great, service was quick and very friendly, outstanding atmosphere on the roof terrace with Moroccan decoration and music. Considering the temperature was 44 celsius when we ate at about 4pm, the terrace is almost completely shaded with water misters that were on almost continuously so it wasn't too uncomfortable. We spent 300 dirham (roughly €30) for 2 people including dessert and one of us had the most expensive entree on the menu. Perfectly prepared beef tenderloin and the best briwat I've had so far in Marrakech. Excellent experience.

Great food at a very humble price! The service was pretty good as well and the location is not too difficult to find in the souk! The squid and potato salad was very tasty and the squid was perfectly tender.

Superb cafe with a lovely rooftop terrace, very comfortable and cute. The staff are really nice and don't pressure you to come in. The food was amazing, recommend the lamb and cous cous and some of the best mint tea in Marrakech

TASTY TAGINE (lamb and veg) and Cous Cous with lamb and veg. Reasonably priced too (90 dirhams per dish). Rooftop has plenty of seating, and they play nice Senegalese music for a good ambience. Also convenient that they take CREDIT CARD. Only thing that will improve the place is if they had a fan for airflow (the water sprays aren’t enough to keep you cool). Great Service

As food lovers, we are always on a look out for proper local traditional food. This place is beautiful and the food is excellent. The whole experience was pretty spot on and service was very good. Reasonably priced and recommended 100% Can't wait to go back 🤗

A really warm and friendly place in an opening deep in the souks. This place very much reflects the people and vibe of Morocco. Great people, tea and food. Smoking upstairs :) in a lovely roofed and open terrace.

We spend just under a week in Marrakesh and went to the Merstan a few night in our stay the food was absolutely wonderful, we sat on the rooftop where overlooked some of the markets, it had a great feel to it and the place was all lit up with sprays of water like most was being thrown out to keep you cool. Yo ness was the manager and treated us wonderfully he couldn't do enough for us he was very friendly. The food was delicious both times we were there, so if you're looking for a nice place to eat with a nice atmosphere then we would recommend.

And here we are again, Tonight we got the aubergine in breadcrumb and kebabs of chicken in curry sauce my husband I decided to try the crab prawns and avocado And as a main the John Dory grilled that was actually amazing. This place is a little gem in a see of Restaurants very ethnic and cute, service could be improved a little but I guess this is what makes this place unique. Went twice we loved it, amazing music and food we are going back tonight for more 🙂

The best food we tried in Marrakech! An oasis in the chaos of the Medina. It was so good we returned for dinner in the same day. Amazing friendly and attentive service from Youness. Will recommend

Marrakech is tagine town! But not exclusively tagines as there's such a variety of local ad traditional dishes available. Kafé Merstan had a great selection. We sat on the garden roof overlooking all that went on below in the streets. Food was tasty. You are beckoned into almost all restaurants as you walk by...who knows which ones are any good. Well, this one was good...recommended.

First meal in Morocco. Yummy and great ambience. Great vegetarian selection too.

Great restaurant! The staff is very friendly and the food is good (both the traditional maroccan and less traditional more western oriented dishes) and affordable. Upstairs the terasse has plenty of shade and it has mistifiers to cool the place down when it is hot. A nice stop after the crowded artisinal arts market. 4 out of 5 because even though it ís good it is not yet exceptional.

I think this is my favourite food place in Marrakesh. Incredible menu (with always-fresh fish!) and salads, plus excellent juices and tea. And very friendly staff. However, nothing can beat the terrace on a hot day - it’s quiet and theres always space, even though the cafe is popular. And they have sprinklers! Just what you need when the temperature glues you to the walls of Medina… Excellent.

The food quality not good, the Kraft I have tasted funny with a smell strange and very oily. Response: Yes, Kraft is not in the menu, but I was asking waiter if they can make it, and they made it at the end!

Great little Restaurant. Good food and great service. Well worth the 10 minute walk through the Soul to get there.

Beautiful rooftop in the old town. I had the lamb tagine with candied oranges. The lamb was so soft and paired well with the oranges. Best tagine I had in Marrakech. The pastries were amazing too.

Very nice terrace with good views. Super friendly staff. Mostly targeted to French tourists but totally fine for anyone. Good tasting food for low-medium prices. The fruit juices are very fresh, cold and cheap. The rooftop terrace has about 20 tables in total. Also good for groups as two tables are larger for 6-8 and there’s one cozy corner with 8-10 seats. Overall quite spacious.

The prices are normal and not so cheap. A main dish can be from 60 dirhams until 90 dirhams. The service is friendly but a little bit slow. Th eportions are satisfactory. The cool thing is that they have a mechanism that produces cool water! I recommend it, it is a good choice to eat something!

Had lunch on the rooftop terrace where Youness served us and recommended the nicest food. Friendly and happy staff plus the food was amazing. Would highly recommend

This was the best filet mignon steak I’ve had in my month traveling Morocco. Chef Amine cooked it to medium-rare perfection. The sides and appetizers were great as well. Waiter Youness took care of us the from start to finish. I will definitely be back and recommend this to my friends. It’s going in my google maps as a favorite.

The food is amazing, the price is cheap and the employees are nice. The rooftop is very cozy even when it rains. We went there for 2 nights to try different dishes and didnt got disappoint.

Nice place for a lunch or breakfast. Definitely recommend rooftop tables which offer a view of medina. Prices are tailored for Western tourist, so be prepare to pay about the same as in European city, but the food is really good. Classic harira soup, tagine, kebap or chicken skewers - you can't make a mistake here. Also perfect place for a rest from exploring souks and having some mint tea. In case of noon heatwave you may want to seat inside where thick walls offer some respite from scorching sun.

Rooftop restaurant with friendly staff, good coffee and of course tea and juices (have avocado juice! more of a smoothie but nice) and a PERFECT tajine with plums. Must try.
