The
Riad
is
an
urban
hideout,
beautiful
and
dreamy
with
tall
palm
trees,
a
small,
flower-studded
fountain,
patio
furniture
and
lovely
decor.
Rooms
are
warm
and
beautifully
decorated;
ours
was
the
Saint
Exupery
suite
on
the
top
floor.
There
is
enough
privacy
between
each
suite
which
was
great.
The
pool
is
small
but
a
quiet
Oasis
and
perfect
to
catch
some
sun
or
read
a
book.
Breakfast
is
full
of
sweet
pastries
and
continental
classics.
We
didn't
have
lunch
but
it
was
common
to
see
people
dining
at
lunch
and
dinner
by
candlelight.
There
is,
in
fact,
no
reason
to
leave
in
the
evening
as
the
riad
is
an
escape
from
the
madness
outside.
In
between
meals
though,
there
is
no
bar
service
apart
from
some
drinks
and
outside
food
is
not
allowed
on
premises
-
it
would
be
wise
of
management
to
consider
afternoon
snack
options
that
don't
require
cooking!
Staff
is
super
nice
and
friendly,
and
the
director
is
always
available,
kind
and
helpful.
While
inside
is
a
haven,
outside
is
more
a
reality
check.
It's
not
the
best
area
to
stay
in
Marrakech
but
then
again
it's
also
far
enough
from
the
chaos.
Keep
in
mind
that
the
immediate
neighborhood
isn't
the
best
with
lots
of
drunk
men
hanging
outside
and
on
the
streets
and
dark
alleyways
-
definitely
not
for
ladies
on
their
own.
A
bit
shocking
for
first-time
arrivals.
Be
sure
your
tour
guides
pick
you
up
from
the
front
door
and
drop
you
back
off,
too.
Marrakech
is
definitely
an
experience
and
the
riad
is
a
gem.
