👍👍 Enjoyed a master class of traditional morrocan cooking today. We made bread and took it to the communal oven in the middle of the medina to cook, we made a berber vegetable and chicken tagine with preserved lemons, zalook salad, tomato and cucumber salad and spongy semolina pancakes for dessert. Enjoyed a master class of traditional morrocan cooking today. We made bread and took it to the communal oven in the middle of the medina to cook, we made a berber vegetable and chicken tagine with preserved lemons, zalook salad, tomato and cucumber salad and spongy semolina pancakes for dessert. Best part is we got to eat it all! To start we had a traditional mint tea made and a presentation of all the herbs. Water was provided throughout. The kitchen is well set up with TV screens to watch the chef. Fatima the chef was excellent as was Kelly who talked us through everything. We paid 1160 dirham for 2 people which included a transport to and from our hotel. Well worth the money. It was so much fun and we have recipe cards to take home as a momento plus another suprise.

Great cooking class, the whole experience was filled with love, from the gentleman at the front desk to the server. Hamid was excellent as he provided a real insight into the culture. Amina the chef was awesome and clear in her direction. They made us feel comfortable and surprised my partner with a birthday dessert. Thanks Aneesa & Bilal

We had a great experience and I can highly recommend it. Our entire group graduated despite someone messing with the pancakes

My wife and I participated in a class at Lotus Chef and really enjoyed the experience. The recipes are all available on plastic coated cards so they are really easy to look after. Before the cooking begins a traditional tea ceremony is performed but more importantly it is also explained. Then many spices and their use in Moroccan cooking is explained. Then the class begins. Each dish is either displayed by the chef or you participate with verbal guidance and watch chef. The workstations have a display monitor so it is easy to see the chef at work. Finally you sit down and enjoy the good you have prepared. We were very happy with the result we achieved and are glad we attended.

We had a brilliant time at lotus chef making chicken tagine. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and overall it was a wonderful Moroccan experience. We got to sit down together in a private room to enjoy the meal we had prepared. We loved it so much we went back the next day and made pastries! It was great to learn traditional techniques and recipes and again eat everything we made! Would highly recommend.

A MUST DO in Marrakech! We had such a fun morning here learning about Moroccan food culture and spices and learning to make a delicious tagine! When we booked i thought it was expensive but it was well worth it, you get a traditional tea ceremony and delicious fresh mint tea as well as a full lunch they show you how to make with salads, taditional tagine and your own handmade bread cooked in the local communal ovens!! Kitchen facilities are great and teaching was varied and hands on! Courtyard location in the backstreets is really special

What a lovely experience we had at our cooking class! Layla was so friendly and sweet and explained everything perfectly. The chef who demonstrated the recipes was very accomplished and took great patience with us. The foods were all delicious and it was a pleasure to spend a few hours in this welcoming space. The whole sessions was so well organized and we all learned a great deal and had fun doing so.
