I've never had better food or service at a restaurant, and I'm not exaggerating! The Tajine and couscous and salad were impeccable. There are so many vegetarian options, too. The restaurant is on this unassuming side street and is great for some people watching. Ashraf is the nicest guy. Apart from being a natural conversationalist and fantastic server, he also recommended a spice shop near by where we got a bunch of fairly priced things. What was to be a quick stop on the way to Fes meandered into a six hour sojourn between the food, several teas, Medina, and great people of Marrakesh. I already yearn to be back.

Best service and hospitality. Warmth and quick. Food is so delicious. The atmosphere is very authentic with the local feel. Very near to Les Bains de Azahara Spa. Special mention to the Chef Ksh with a great smile and very friendly. She made our experience gastronomically filling and culturally enriching.

It's well located in the Médina, the food is good and the service is excellent! The owner & people working there are amazing: I spent so much time there savoring some local flavors, discussing with locals and simply enjoying my time in Morocco!

Everything about this place was nice. The food, the service, the atmosphere. Prices were fair. Nothing blew us away but everything was decent.

We just spent 5 days in Marrakech, and we ate in different restaurants just about every meal, so we definitely tried quite a few restaurants and Tagines, and this place was hands down my favorite, my only regret is not shifting things around to eat here more than once, although the owner? clearly remembered us and would wave or say hi as we walked by afterwards. The food: The Kebab Tagine, like I saw at least one other person say, wasn't like anything else in Marrakech, except I mean that as a huge complement, it was better quality chicken than we got pretty much anywhere else (without all the weird gristly chunks) and boneless. The flavor was wonderful. My only complaint is that this isn't the version other places have, it was so tasty! My wife had the chicken and lemon Tagine, it was like everywhere else, but still tied for her favorite version of it too. The service: The I believe owner, or at least manager was an absurdly friendly multi-lingual guy who never pressured us walking by (before or after eating there) was wonderful to chat with a little while we waited for food (we were a little between meals so it was slow), and remembered us and would wave even if he was talking to someone else and asked how our day had been another night as we headed back to our Riad. While I really, really, loved the food, his personality is the real reason I'm on here writing a review. The restaurant does have an air conditioner, but even if it didn't, I would 100% recommend giving this place a try if you are ever on that side of the Medina.

Like other have said, just a basic restaurant with casual dining that is good and fair priced, sandwiches omelette and stuff, nothing extravagant. Nice American dishes that tasted good. Good service the guys there spoke English and it was easy to get high speed wifi that was much better than our riads wifi.

Super friendly people and delicious food. Simple, pure and healthy. We went here twice during our holiday because we liked it so much! Had tajine chicken the first time, can definitely recommend and the second time we had a chicken sandwich and the minced meat skewers.

The owner of the restaurant was a lovely guy whom we met randomly one night. That's why we wanted to try his place, and ordered kebab tagine and skews. Tagine was okay but was with chicken and eggs for some reason, nothing like the proper Moroccan tagine we have seen and tried in other places. Skews were not even edible- undercooked, overcooked, or served cold. It was absolutely disappointing. If you MUST try this place, I would highly recommend to avoid eating there and to stick with a cup of coffee or tea that is much easier to make. The quality and taste of the food do not match the good reviews at all.

The waitress was extremely kind and also spoke good english - and also one of the best Tajine i’ve eaten so far.

  • 1/5 Sebastian L. 10 months ago on Google
Tajine was bland, tea was cold. There are too many better options around; don’t let this be your experience of the Moroccan cuisine.

I have lived in Morocco for over one year. So i know enough about Moroccan food and can tell the difference. I went to this restaurant today, a Friday. And couscous is sacred on Fridays. The couscous I ordered (Coucous Royal) was the worst couscous I have ever had in my entire time living in this country. First, I had asked specifically if the Royal was the couscous with 7 vegetables. The waiter, seeing that i didn't appear to be local, said a hasty Yes. It was not. Second, the blé itself was completely tasteless. Any couscous even just half the price, in any local restaurant, be it the humble vegetarian, or the simple chicken, or beef, the blé itself would be tasteful. But not this dish. The blé was completely bland - and it costs a whopping 110 dH, Couscous "Royal". I'm not Moroccan. I'm an American living in Morocco. But the quality of this couscous was so poor - and today is Friday! - made so carelessly, thoughtlessly, and apparently with such a nonchalant attitude, as the restaurant is aimed for tourists who usually do not know the difference, that even i was insulted by it. Don't go there.

Nice restaurant with seats on the street. Both chairs and low sofas. Food is ok, but there's a couple of other places close by too. Staff super kind and friendly. Nice and relaxed place to have an afternoon drink

The atmosphere was a bit off..one of the servers was very weird. The other really sweet but it made the whole experience a bit bizzare. The food was very salty but edible.

A humble restaurant, but serving the best chicken tajine I tried in Morocco! The staff is also lovely, very laidback and welcoming. We went 3x!

Ashraf who works there is perhaps the nicest man we met in Marrakech, gave us fantastic advice, super friendly. The food is also excellent here, and available for very good prices, the chicken tagine and the kofta tagine are both great, and cost around 40MAD

This place is amazing. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and really made this place feel like home. The food is excellent too. It's in the heart of the Medina and so you can experience a real cultural vibe whilst you eat delicious food outside. I would give this 10 stars if i could. definitely recommend to anyone staying in Marrakech.
