Booked a same day appointment for 12.10pm and was told to arrive 15 minutes early. Arrived at 11.50am where I had to wait at the reception desk while the receptionist and a lady on her way out of the building (who turned out to be the doctor I had an appointment with) talked about holidays and their next catch up/ day off. Before walking out to allow the receptionist to attend to me, the doctor asked when her next patient was, where the receptionist told her it was 12.10pm and then asked if I was the next patient to which I said yes. The Doctor then asked if my appointment would be short as she had some personal things to attend to. I said I didn’t know, so the doctor left the building. As she had not returned by 12.20pm, I kindly asked the receptionist to cancel my appointment and walked out. From the minute I walked in the door I felt like that whole surgery was unprofessional. After the short encounter with the doctor I felt like she could not care about patients and this was nothing more than a “job” to her. I was looking for some guidance on a rather serious issue and felt reluctant to open up to this Dr. Wouldn’t return.

Now that Darlinghurst Medical Centre is charging a very high fee above the standard Medicare bulk billing, they need to pick up their game on being on time. If you're paying the fee, I feel you should be able to expect to have your appointment on time. The notion that it is acceptable to delay patients does not fit the size of the charge being applied.

Been attending Darlinghurst Medical Clinic since the doors first opened 20+ years ago. No reason to go anywhere else. Everything is here. I go to Room 13 first there was Dr Francis in the beginning and now Dr Rena in all that time. I’ve recommended Dr Rena to others seeking continuity with the one medico as I always have. Receptionist staff, nurses, pathology, X-ray personnel all professional and helpful.

The poor customer service and waiting times made sense when this place was fully bulk billed. They have changed their service to provide partially bulk billed appointments, which meant I was charged $90 for a prescription renewal appointment which took less than 5 minutes. Even with some Medicare payback I'm not sure how they can justify this pricing, I will not be returning. Please make it clearer the pricing costs before appointments are made, as I would not have made this appointment.

What is the point of making an appointment if doctor is 40 mins late. I've booked with Dr Vo twice, first time he was 40 minutes late, second time, I had to leave after 25 mins due to excruciating pain. Does any doctor keep appointments. Best try other practices is need real help. Such a shame inefficiency is rife. Bring on Ai online help soon, illuminate these time wasters..ones in excruciating pain meanwhile suffer, unfortunately.

my experience with the young receptionist at was deeply unsatisfactory. Her lack of professionalism, and customer service skills significantly impacted the overall impression of the centre. I strongly urge the management to address these issues promptly to ensure a better experience for all patients.

I had the privilege of consulting with Dr. Adriaan Nel, a skin specialist, regarding a troublesome spot on my leg that had been persistently bleeding. From the moment he laid eyes on it, he expressed genuine concern and wasted no time in taking decisive action. Dr. Nel promptly ordered a biopsy, skillfully sutured the wound, and ensured I received the necessary treatment. His professionalism and sense of urgency were truly commendable, and he even took the time to discuss the situation with the attending nurse, further exemplifying his dedication to my well-being. Comparatively, my previous encounter at a GP clinic on Oxford Street was quite dissimilar. The general practitioner barely glanced at the spot, dismissed it as inconsequential, and advised me to wait a full two weeks for the bleeding to cease, without further investigation. Their approach lacked the thoroughness and attentiveness that I experienced under Dr. Nel's care.

I just left this place after waiting the best part of 50 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor. I understand doctors are busy — but most people are. My time is as important as theirs. If you are running that late, don’t take the appointment or at least tell the patient so he/she/they can make arrangements. I’ve been to this practice a few times before for tests and the person in pathology is rude and unwelcoming. So after today I will never use this again and will be advising friends and colleagues to steer clear.

Dr Rena is absolutely fabulous! She is by far the most easy going and understanding/professional doctor I have come across in the Sydney CBD. Additionally, the Medical Center is clean, and the reception is friendly. With Imaging and a Chemist available, I see no need to visit any other medical center.

Dr Rena has been my doctor for more than 10 years now. Dr Rena is the most caring person you ever met. Always greats you with a smile and will look after you as a family member.

I walked in off the street, spent a few minutes giving my details and then I was called in to see a wonderful Doctor Nataliya. Very professional and personable. I felt confident with her explanation of why she was treating my issue the way she was.

I recommend Darlinghurst Medical Center but didn’t have the best experience with Dr Lynette Wallace. Having spent the night in emergency and having a series of test done, I was advised to follow up with GP the next day. Dr Wallace seemed to dismiss most of what I was telling her about my experience and further dismissed what the emergency room doctors told me to relay. I was also told I didn’t need follow up tests that the ER doctors told me to get. I left feeling like I wasn’t properly tended to. Not the best bed side manner.

Doctors are fantastic but when you make Telehealth appoints they are almost always 2 hours late. If you’re going to charge $75 for an appointment then you should not be prioritising walking ins and shoving patients with appointments to the end of the line. If this continues I will be seeking alternative medical care providers

Dr Adrian was very attentive to my medical needs. He even bulkbilled me . For which I was very Grateful. I would definitely recommend Dr Adrian and this practice. I don’t recommend the Pharmacy at the bottom. A bit pricey. Should have gone to Chemist Warehouse definitely cheaper

Friendly staff on reception, he was very pleasant and fitted me in without an appointment and being a new patient. Wait time was minimal and the doctor was good. Unexpected appointment but pleased with the service

The 2nd time I was tricked regarding bulk billing. Receptionist apparently pretended the Medicare gap rebate will be paid automatically. But upon tapping my card, that didn't happen. Receptionist could not give me a straight answer. So very disappointed with the deception, it's the second time. Not coming back.

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the lack of professionalism and communication at the vaccination center. After making an appointment and verifying the availability of the BCG vaccine twice, I arrived promptly only to be informed that they don't provide it. This is not only a waste of my time but also a concerning situation given the importance of vaccinations. The inconsistency and negligence shown by the staff are unacceptable, and I expect a prompt resolution and an explanation for this unfortunate incident. Such lapses in service can have serious consequences, and I hope this issue will be addressed promptly to avoid similar problems for others in the future.

Straight to the point. I wouldn’t say customer service is the strong suit here but if you want an in-and-out appointment this will do. Guy at the front counter is clearly only there to get paid, very unenthusiastic but he gets the job done. It works for me. I’ll go here again if I ever need a quick appointment.

I've been going to Darlinghurst Medical Centre for my medical needs for two decades. Dr. Rene Alexandrou is my main go-to doctor. She's never failed me. I also see Dr. Adriaan Nel, when Dr. Rene is away. The centre is lovely and efficient. I never wait more than 15 minutes for a booked appointment! Thanks DMC. Love your work!

I needed an appointment for my two year old daughter this morning and Dr Nell saw us as a walk in immediately with no prior booking even though his morning was fully booked. Hanj on reception was outstanding, professional, friendly, warm and accomodating. Very appreciative of the excellent level of care.

Not impressed! Last night I cut my finger open with a knife, potentially needing stitches, and came there at 7.30 as they are open until 8pm. As I was coming into the main door, someone came out with a script in his hand so there was obviously a doctor there. The guy who was the cleaner vacuuming said that there were no doctors on duty and no one could help me. When I asked to speak to reception, he said there was no receptionist on duty. Disgusting as you advertise being open until 8pm.

Everything went well. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I waited about 30 minutes beyond my expected call time, but that is understandable when there is so much Covid around and the doctors are so busy. Such a good service to be able to have Telehealth then the scripts Messaged to iphone.

Very positive experience today. Receptionist was all by himself in a busy environment, but was very polite and helpful. My appointment with Dr Vo was on time, and he was courteous and empathetical.

I cannot recommend this Medical Practice highly enough. I have been a patient at this Medical Centre for more than a decade and have always received exceptional care. The staff members are unfailingly polite and helpful, and I have witnessed firsthand their ability to handle even the most emotional and difficult situations with patients in a compassionate and professional manner. I am especially grateful to my GP, Dr Rena Alexandrou, who has provided me with exceptional care and support throughout the years. Her professionalism, medical expertise, patience, and compassion are unparalleled, and I have the utmost respect and appreciation for her. She truly is a one-of-a-kind GP who exemplifies the very best qualities in the medical profession.
