I never give an undeserved 5. This place is charming. Excellent coffee (and I mean excellent) great food. The Egg Benedict salmon mini roll was astonishing. Service is warm, friendly and prompt. Vibe is funky and inviting. This place is a hidden gem in a thoroughfare arcade that's easily missed. Seek it out, and enjoy, straight up it's one of Rockdale's finest.

Absolute 10/10. Happy Alley is a bagel lover's paradise! Their bagel sandwiches are a taste sensation, with a wide variety of fillings and toppings that will leave you craving more. They offer a delectable selection of options. The bagels are fresh and perfectly chewy, and the combinations of flavors are simply divine. Whether you're in the mood for a classic lox and cream cheese or unique chicken creation sandwiches, Happy Alley has got you covered. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a delightful spot to start your day or grab a quick bite. They don’t only serve incredible bagel sandwiches but they also have a mouthwatering selection of cookies. Their cookies are baked to perfection, with a variety of flavors like chocolate chip, peanut butter, and and more. They are the perfect sweet treat to complement your savory meal. Don't forget to save room for a delicious cookie at Happy Alley! 🍪😋🥪

Nestled within the charming confines of Rockdale, Happy Alley Café beckons visitors with its cozy ambience and delectable offerings. Situated in a quaint alley near the train station, this hidden gem captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to venture inside. My wife and I recently indulged in a memorable breakfast at this charming café, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped foot into Happy Alley Café, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff members, with their radiant smiles and attentive demeanors, made us feel like cherished guests. Their passion for their craft was evident in every interaction, as they took the time to recommend dishes and answer our questions with enthusiasm and expertise. It was a pleasure to be served by such a friendly and dedicated team. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the sumptuous sujuk bagel and the mouthwatering smoked egg bagel. The sujuk bagel boasted a tantalizing blend of flavors, with the smoky richness of the sujuk sausage perfectly complemented by the freshness of the accompanying vegetables. The smoked egg bagel, on the other hand, showcased a harmonious marriage of textures and tastes, with the smoky and velvety egg paired flawlessly with the soft bagel. Both dishes were expertly crafted and left us craving more. To our delight, the café also offered warm cookies that were an absolute treat for the senses. The cookies arrived at our table slightly warmed, emanating a delightful aroma that instantly awakened our taste buds. The first bite was pure bliss, as the cookies melted in our mouths, revealing a perfect balance of sweetness and indulgence. The fact that the staff took the time to warm them up for us was a testament to their dedication to creating a memorable dining experience. While the culinary delights at Happy Alley Café were unquestionably superb, it is worth noting that the seating options were somewhat limited. The café's location in an alley, while undoubtedly charming, did come with a slight drawback. The space felt a bit cold and drafty, especially during the cooler months. However, the warm and inviting atmosphere inside more than made up for any temporary discomfort caused by the surroundings. In conclusion, Happy Alley Café is a hidden oasis that offers an unforgettable culinary journey. The friendly and welcoming staff elevated our experience, making us feel like cherished guests throughout our visit. The sujuk bagel and the smoked egg bagel were nothing short of sensational, bursting with flavors that left us yearning for more. The warm cookies were a delightful indulgence, showcasing the café's attention to detail. While the seating options may be limited, the warm and inviting atmosphere within Happy Alley Café more than compensates for any minor inconveniences. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend Happy Alley Café to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience filled with warmth, flavor, and exceptional hospitality.

Nice little joint tucked inside an alleyway right outside Rockdale Train Station. I tried the fried chicken sandwich. It was $16. Solid taste. Very friendly customer service. Will recommend. Thank you :) P.s. I asked for takeaway. And then drove to Brighton-Le-Sands.

The freshness and generous portions, coupled with an explosion of flavors, truly make them a culinary delight. Not to mention, the staff's warm and welcoming demeanor adds to the overall experience. Pro tip: Make sure to get in early, as these delectable offerings tend to sell out fast. Anticipation is building for my next visit, where I can't wait to explore the rest of the tantalizing menu items.

Almost missed the cafe cos it’s located in the alley. Once in the alley .. you won’t miss the bright yellow seatings. The color is a mood booster. Had simple breakfast of Cheese Melt on toasted sourdough + hot chai latte. The staff are friendly and they offered a taste of their famous cookie. That is called attentive friendliness to the customers. Cossy to sit in the alley and watch passer-by’s popping into the cafe. It’s therapeutic actually.

A true hidden gem. Don't let the alleyway fool you, Happy Alley is the real deal. It's not just the delicious food that makes this place worth the visit, it's also the great people that make it really stand out.

One of the best sandwiches in town. It's got quality ingredients, amazing flavours and nice presentation too. Glad we walked past this alley and saw this cafe. Thanks Ali and team for the great food and coffee (+ the Lox, it was a pleasant surprise!). Looking forward to coming back and trying more of your sandwiches and cookies.

10/10 amazing experience. their sandwiches are top tier - got the ruben & the salmon bagel and they were both unreal. i just wish they were in a bigger location where i could sit in the sun & enjoy their burgers on site rather than take away - maybe in the future !! other than that, no complaints

Bagels and cookies. The winners of the menu. The cookies in particular were exquisite. The Oreo flavor was great, a chocolate chip packed cookie with Nutella filling and somehow an Oreo packed inside.

Amazing service and food, and in my opinion, one of the best sandwiches in Sydney. My personal favourite was the Alley Deli, it had just the right ratio of every ingredient. The fig jam was something else, it completed the sandwich perfectly. The Parmi melt also had the right mix of all ingredients, the chicken was hot and juicy, the batter crispy, and the sicilian marinara sauce was amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have had.

nice little gem in Rockdale, had brekki burger, simple with surprisingly good taste, coffee is good too. Genuine people. Cookie is a bit too sweet for us but the taste is good. Really glad the reviews were spot on.

Absolutely amazing place, walked in and immediately hit it off with the owner and staff, food was amazing best sandwich I’ve ever had, coffee is spot on and the shop is in a perfect location only a short walk from Rockdale station. Highly recommend this place if you want a quality sandwich or coffee or even a home made style cookie, try the Nutella one! Highly recommend this place

Came here for breakfast and had the best experience, went for the Haloumi Kaak and and Lox Bagel and they were delicious. Of course it was impossible to go past the cookies, they did not disappoint. Coffee was amazing and the atmosphere and service were impeccable. Will definitely be back and can see Happy Alley being a regular go to for me.
