We booked out Dean’s Lounge for a private event with about 65 people and it was fantastic. So many of our guests raved about the venue - from the delicious food and drinks to the friendly service and the fun retro vibe. The Dean’s Lounge team were exceptional from start to finish. Louka helped us organise our food and drinks options ahead of time and was also there in person running the venue on the night. Throughout the event the team checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t praise the Dean’s Lounge team enough - they were fantastic.

This is an incredible place! My partner and I decided to go for cocktails after dinner and tried walking in. We were lucky to get a table as this place was packed! Vibrant, friendly environment, funky vibe with great cocktails and service. The waitress showed us this table that was a screen with fun games like pac-man and we played all night long for free. I highly recommend this place!

I feel kinda bad giving this super popular place 2 stars, but this is based on our experience. We popped by post dinner to partake in some drinks and nibbles. The place was busy, but the friendly fellow who greeted us found us a spot inside the back near the bar. Then another person who was our main server us could have been new. She seemed a bit lost and confused. We ordered a few small bites and drinks. We wanted to have more drinks, but as it took ages for someone to check in and ask after our second round, we decided against it. Everyone seemed busy but not always paying attention. We finally got the attention of the initial guy who welcomed us and asked for the bill. To our surprise, the bill had a few extra charges, nearly over $100 extra worth! When I questioned this, they only then realised they accidentally added the wines from the table next to us onto our bill. They did apologise and removed it, but they didn't seem to be fussed about the mistake. The drinks and food were just OK too. All in all, it was a disappointing experience. It could have been an off night, but we didn't really enjoy ourselves

I had an amazing time at Deans Lounge – it's a true hidden gem. The staff's friendliness and attention to detail made me and my guests feel incredibly welcome. The bar's layout is versatile, perfect for intimate chats or lively gatherings. The service was impeccable; the bartenders not only served fantastic drinks but also engaged with guests, enhancing the overall experience. The vibe of the place is simply spectacular. The decor lovely, with ambient lighting that sets the mood perfectly. The music selection added to the great atmosphere without being overpowering. Additionally, the staff responsible for organising the event were truly amazing and accomodating. Overall, this bar hits all the right notes – accommodating, top-notch service, and an atmosphere that's both cool and comfortable. I'll definitely be back again and would highly recommend having a function here.

Hands down, the finest cocktail bar I’ve been to in Sydney. Justin has an incredible knowledge, and has an incredible ability to bring the mixology lingo down to a level where you don’t feel foolish for not knowing certain things. He asked questions to help me get the perfect drink, explained certain spirits I hadn’t heard of, and made me feel totally welcome. Amazing place.

Visited for cocktails last night for the first time and was lucky enough to be served by Jem. He was so attentive, funny, and joyful. Really made our night! The cocktails were fantastic too. Can't wait to come back.

Ended up here completely on accident, but not disappointed about it. This quaint bar is the perfect spot to have a chat and a drink with your friends. Their outdoor seating area is relaxed and service was great. It also helps they can shake up something good. Or if you’re after something simple, they can do that too. If you did yourself wondering around The Cross, head down to Dean’s Lounge.
