After reading the many glowing reviews of Bar Luca, I was very excited to try it for myself. To cut to the chase, it more than exceeded any expectation I had for the place. Safe to say that the burger I had, the Mr T-ruffle, was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It would take a lot to beat it! The beef patty was supremely tasty, juicy and packed full of flavour, the bacon was crispy and delicious. The mushrooms were absolutely divine. I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu on subsequent visits. Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality and taste. Tip, come early for lunch, as others have noted it does get very busy. Once you have ordered however, the food is pretty quick to come out. I will definitely be back.

Blame Canada is the UNDISPUTED BEST BURGER IN SYDNEY. Time and time again I think I'll get sick of having this incredible burger. Time and time again I'm proven wrong. Great staff, great vibes, great food. If you're just looking to enjoy a burger, highly recommend to go on a weekday mid afternoon. Dinner can often be booked out, especially on weekends.

Finally tried the legendary Bar Luca burgers and praise the Lord for one of the juiciest patty, crispiest fries and cheapest wings I had in my life, no wonder it’s called the burger institution in Sydney!

Lovely burgers, friendly staff and good tap beers. We ordered the poutine(nice), onion rings(nice and crispy) and the Blame Canada burger(very good) Even though the place is a little bit on the pricey side I had a very good experience. Highly recommended for after work drinks and burgers!

Group of 8, Stopped for a quick lunch during our trip in Sydney. The place was clean and neat, staffs were courteous and not racial in their behavior. The food was good and every dish was special in their own way. When you look at the menu, it’s just simple pub food but prepared with care. Our experience at Bar Luca was pleasant. We wish the team well and when we are visiting Sydney this place would be in our list.

We booked for 5pm dinner. Got ourselves some draft ale and beer to start. Place gets busy by 530pm. This place is very well staffed. Easy ordering and food is served fast. Like the lively music too. The burgers, shakes, onion rings, chicken wings, etc really met all expectations. Highly recommended.

One of the most iconic burger joints in Sydney CBD, and for a reason. The burgers are just so delicious! They have classics but also specials each week. I usually go for Mr Truffle, can't go wrong with that! Onion rings are great as well. The good thing is that you can also enjoy great beers with your food here. Gets really busy though so you may need to queue for a bit.

This place delivered burgers as good as we anticipated. The were so big and delicious. I got the Mc Daddy and it didn't dissipoint. The Blame it on Canada with peanut butter added was also a hit. Big feed for a very good price for what we got. When I go again I will probably get a get a smaller burger just because I might want to try a side as well.

Just love this place. Without doubt these guys have the best burgers in Sydney. The weekly specials are creative and delicious but even their usual burgers are just damn delicious. You must try the famous Blame Canada burger at least once in your life. It's a gastronomic masterpiece. The sides are yummy with wonderfully seasoned French fries the perfect accomplishment to any burger.

I am not usually fan of burgers, but I’ve had a great time dining at Bar Luca! Their burgers are delicious, and I love that I was able to swap to a plant-based patty for free! I had the Mr T-Ruffle and the truffle aioli made is so tasty! My partner was very hungry so he was satisfied with how big the Mac Daddy burger was. The oreo milkshake was great and the sweet potato wedges were well-seasoned and had a nice crispy coating. Overall, very happy with our experience at Bar Luca!

This used to be the best burgers in town however my last experience was terrible. From the time of ordering to getting the food took about 4 minutes burgers werent hot and fresh, I saw inside the kitchen they had a massive pile of precooked bacon just sitting there, also the size of the burgers have shrunk before I could barely finish a blame canada burger this time I was left hungry.

Great beyond burger, tasted exactly like beef. Nice place to hang out with friends. Be sure to make a reservation because it does get very packed. Also really nice cocktails, a bit on the expensive side.

Blame Canada is the best burger I've ever had. Can't say much more than that. It had everything it promised and so much more. I didn't want to finish the burger, it was that good. Also great eating spot, they were busy as but managed to fit us in, didn't have to wait too long for foods 👍

I really love their Mr.Truffle burger and you can add on pork ribs+fries for only $7. This is the best burger in town, MUST TRY 🍔 and make sure to make a reservation ahead especially on weekend if you come this place.

I had recently visited this shop and tried their special burgers.The staff was friendly and welcoming..I found the avocado chicken chipotle a bit dry and I expected a juicier bite. The ambience was comfortable and the prices was reasonable for the portion size.Overall it’s a good place to grab their special burger especially tequila and lime chicken burger😋

At the end of 2023, BL remains a relevant force in Sydney's burger scene. The Blame Canada burger is still at least every first, second and third burger that is looking for a table and there's still a weekly burger that tries to be a little different. It still tastes like how you remembered it and if it's your first time, don't worry it hasn't changed.

Yum yum yum I came here because I wanted some Poutine. I deffs wasn't disappointed. The Poutine was also vego friendly which was great. I was also stoked to see that they had a fish burger, which you don't see too many of on menus in Sydney these days. Great quality food, not the cheapest place, but the price is a reflection of the quality.

I went there for lunch and ordered Mr truffle and magic mushroom burger. Both are really good. It was surprisingly delicious. Fried mushroom was very crispy and juicy. Also chippy was crispy. Highly recommend!

Okay! So, my friend and I were looking for a good burger place and we found this! I got the chipotle chicken burger+wings, and guess what? It was disappointing… the fried chicken and the wings were way too dry, and the burger was semi cold! the cheese was cold and hard🥹 This is the 1st time that I didn’t finish my burger. Quite disappointing cos we expected something good with such high ratings.

Celebrated my husband's birthday at Bar Luca, and it was a delightful experience. The burgers and loaded fries were a hit, arriving fresh and hot. Ah i went for bar luca because of the blame canada that was recommended by the damn broadsheet🍻🍻these guys suck at rating or their reviewer's are white shmucks who think Shepard's pie is a dish. The burger is so mediocre and bland. (who puts fries in the burger and adds burger on the side, who puts fries in a burger!?! Doesn't work its like pineapples on pizza. Say what ever you want but it wrong, same goes for putting fries into the burger. Anyways better to go for the chicken burger than this blame abomination. Am sorry to rate the burger this bad but it really sucks(2nd worst burger ever to be honest after KFCs).

Accidentally found this place while looking for an afternoon snack for 2 people. The downside is that the burgers are burgers only - Comes with fries at an additional cost. However, the burgers are really great and the buns are so soft! The fries are nice and thin, so quite more-ish! The people in the kitchen definitely know the right amount of sauce to put into each burger! I visited again during lunch, and the ambience was definitely a lot more livelier! I was impressed when I ordered. Before I had even paid, my drink order was done!

Went in with high expectations after seeing a TimeOut review and wasn't disappointed. Loved the laid back approach of ordering at the bar and the BL Chicken Burger was delicious. The real standout surprise were the Fries! An amazing sweet, tangy, salty flavour that we couldn't put our finger on but absolutely loved!

By far the best burger restaurant in all of Sydney. There seems to be a new concoction every single week and each and every one is simply delicious. The current menu has a ‘Blame India’ burger which is buttery, juicy and loaded with a divine butter chicken sauce.

We came for the Fireball collaboration and it didn’t disappoint. That burger was too die for! So full and juicy and tasty and worth every penny! I loved the milkshake too, the donut on top was like an extra treat haha OH AND the pork ribletes had me licking my fingers!!!

The burgers were good! We ordered the Blame Canada and limited menu item Blame Fireball which were pretty delicious, id rate them 7/10 and 8/10 respectively. The poutine was sadly disappointing, the cheese curds just tasted and felt like plastic. The staff forgot about one of our orders and were rather blasé about it.

Best burgers in town. Every time I go I must have the Blame Canada burger. It has everything you need in a burger. Full of flavour and you won't leave wanting. Large selection of beers on tape. This place is always busy and I can see why. Despite being so busy we always manage to get a table in decent time. The staff are a fun bunch even though they are constantly working flat out. Bless 'em. You can tell everyone that works here are passionate about their jobs. It usually is quite loud here but don't let that put you off. A must visit!

Unique, creative specials and consistently delicious burgers keep me coming back to Bar Luca. The most important part of the burger for me, the patty, is always charred to perfection but juicy and delicious. The most recent special, the taco pill (pictured below) was a great flavour combination of spicy chillies and sweet onions. The only downside is that it was very messy and fell apart as soon as I started to eat it. This didn't stop me from picking up all the pieces and eating them because it did taste great.

Home to the one and only Blame Canada burger, which has to be one of the best burgers in Sydney. The service here is quick, the beats are always good, there are some nice beers on tap, and the atmosphere is great. Check out the weekly specials as well. I’d recommend booking ahead a few days out if you have a group - it’s popular so it can be hard to get a table!

Burgers are often way to sloppy and impractical to eat. Great selection of beers. The Poutine is always a highlight. Place is always packed at Lunch, get in early or miss out.

Juicy burgers, perfect with a beer. Get the Flame Canada, the poutine is out of this world! It is the same as the Blame Canada but with an awesome spicy kick. Gets very busy especially Thursday and Friday, so either book or turn up early.
