The most delicious modern Middle Eastern food! Just absolutely divine. Came here on a date night. We tried the tasting menu and everything was beautiful, full of flavour and decent portion sizes. The service was exceptional 👏🏽 Our waiter was so good we let her pick our wines! She knew what she was talking about. Thank you Nour for a lovely date night x

Thought I had one up on my Sydney friend when I told her I had been to this place in Surry Hills w terrific Middle eastern food....when I told her the name of the venue....” Oh, Nour, I love it. One of my favorite places “.... I’m usually wary of M-E cuisine as often I find the flavors lacking subtlety and balance. But not here. Very accomplished food, really good acid balance in all the dishes we tried. Complex flavours and generous servings. All delivered in a relaxed, stylish environment. Tick ✅✅✅

This restaurant was hands down the best restaurant I’ve been too since lockdown passed. The food was outstanding - so many incredible flavours. Jade was our waiter, he was very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests! Such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic dinner at Nour. The staff were really friendly and attentive, stellar service. The atmosphere was very lively as well! Food was amazing and really flavorsome. Standouts were the steak and the dessert, the basbousa is a must try!

Service was 5 star! Food I will give 4 star as eggplant and octopus has bit too strong in taste and similar taste in terms of taste! Beef rib and chicken shuwaruma was best! Desert was 2 star

Have been wanting to try out Nour for awhile now and I am so happy that I went. My friend and I got a table outside which meant we had a very long table that could handle all the food and drink orders that we made. The service by our lovely waitress called Polly was phenomenal. She was so knowledgeable and easily recommended food and drinks options for us. We went with the set menu and loved the surprise of the dishes that came out. The cocktails were incredible, they were presented in such a beautiful way and the flavours were delicate but complex. Everything for me was a 10/10!

We had an amazing evening dining at Nour. We had the Signature Banquet (with Fish of the day) at 119$pp. The dishes were simply delicious very well presented and served at perfect pace. The crew was kind, attentive and meticulous. Regarding the atmosphere, We were seated at the counter, watching the crew making their magic. A bit pricey, but you definitely get what you paid for, in all aspects. I would definitely recommend! (it was smelling and looking too delicious so did not have time to take photos 😆)

We booked this restaurant for my birthday and I had such a beautiful experience from the moment I stepped inside to the time we left. The staff knew it was my birthday and they made it extra special for me. The cocktails were well prepared and tasted delicious. The food was exceptional. Our waitress Polly was so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. Great first time experience and I would come back here again. Thanks Nour

Food and services are both amazing. We ordered few dishes and our servant Emma is very helpful in explaining the menu and facilitating our needs. Food are tasty and full of great favours. The restaurant environment is cozy and hygienic. It is obviously good and enjoyable time to spend dinner here.

Awesome is a word that’s used a lot, and Nour is very awesome. Without the use of these kind of words, let me describe our evening and share some photos of the food. It’s a cold evening in Sydney and we’re seeing good old friends we haven’t seen for 2years. A late seating at Nour, which was still buzzing and alive with activity and joy. The menu is a good selection of Middle Eastern fare, but with creativity (and as discovered really well executed). We couldn’t choose… so we look at the tasting menu, and it had what I would consider to be a well selected meal! It was brilliant, right sizing, wonderful mix of flavours. The recommended wine, paired nicely to the meal. There was warmth in the service and atmosphere - and we just caught up with friends I had made a mistake with the ordering… and thought that we had one more dish. The manager popped by almost immediately and explained (and I was a little embarrassed, secretly). Now here is the difference, he came back with some desert wine and hope we enjoyed the night. Have you ever been to a restaurant where you felt so well looked after? I have, and it’s by the generous gestures that cap off great service, a wonderfully executed menu in an atmosphere of warmth.

Absolutely amazing dining experience. We were casual diners, and yet this was one of the best restaurants we've come by anywhere in Sydney so far. The staff have excellent customer service. The recommendations were on point for us and the food absolutely hit the mark with the flavours and presentation. The cocktails are also fun. Highly recommended. Vegetarian friendly.

Nour restaurant in Surry Hills was an excellent experience. The food looked amazing and was absolutely delicious. The staff were really helpful and super friendly and happy to make changes to the menu to accommodate for everyone’s dietary needs. Everything was fresh and made in the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. Definitely five stars.

Came here for my partner’s birthday and ordered the $119 signature banquet menu. Nothing to fault - every dish was fantastic. The cocktails were also very delicious, highly recommend the lichee and tamuru passion.

I really wanted to love this establishment given the promising reviews. However, it just wasn’t for my partner and I. It’s recommended to select 6 dishes to share between 2, we opted for the dishes in the pictures. We didn’t find the food to be exceptional. The food was cooked well, but the flavours weren’t bold, and instead relatively flat. If you wish to visit this restaurant, I recommend making a reservation prior as they do get quite busy

The food exceeded expectations. We had the banquet and everything was delicious. The octopus was a real standout dish. I don’t love potatoes and I could have eaten a whole bowl of those that accompanied the octopus. Our server Vincent was attentive without being too present. Only downside is the tables are a bit close together. Overall a great experience. Definitely worth a visit!

A dinning experience that quite exceeded our expectations, as first time trying middle eastern cuisine was indeed a satisfying experience. Dishes were all from fresh ingredients and thoughtfully executed. Thank you team for looking after us and the yummy tahini ice cream dessert!

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. Upon entering, the vibe and atmosphere felt very warm and inviting. It's contemporary decor made it easy for us to fit in with our smart casual attire and the friendliness of the staff made it very welcoming. The food here is gorgeous and a very modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine, the flavour and the spices really shine in their woodfire dishes. My wife particularly enjoyed Fremantle Octopus and Woodfire Eggplant and I have to agree those were stand out dishes alongside their scallops. Would definitely recommend and go again the next time in the area.

Everything about this experience was great. We had the cheaper banquet option for 2 people. The staff was so friendly, whenever they brought a dish, they would explain how to best eat the dish. The timing of plates coming to our table was also perfect. We didn't have too many plates on the table ever and we didn't have to wait too long between plates until the next one came out. Food tasted phenomenal. The atmosphere was also very welcoming.

This pains me to write because I was so looking forward to trying our Nour. Not sure if the staff were still in hibernation but the service was really not good, from the glare we received on entry for being early for our booking, waiting 20 mins before our first drink arrived at the table and then dishes coming out cold. It tasted great, but beef tongue, short rib and pumpkin ravioli dish were all cold

Best fine dining experience I have had in Sydney. Lovely atmosphere, impeccable service with delectable food. The quality of the ingredients, all well balanced and so flavourful. The scallops were exquisite and the prawns dishes with pine nuts and artichokes was divine!! Very lovely manager who really made our experience looking after us knowing we were celebrating our 6th anniversary. Highly recommend fine dining place to have a fabulous cosy experience!!

  • 5/5 Liz N. 11 months ago on Google
This is now one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. The atmosphere was very easy going and sophisticated at the same time. The food was incredible. Each dish was well balanced and very creative. All the classic middle eastern flavours were present and were elevated even more with a new technique or new flavour addition. The entire menu was well thought out. Even the cocktails were incredible! We ordered at least 6 different ones and loved each one. My favourite was the double apole-tini. The staff were very friendly and our waiter Santiago was very attentive. Santiago made sure there were no periods where we were left waiting for the next dish to come out. He so took care to explain the dishes to us or warn us of a plate was too hot to handle. We definitely would be returning to Nour.

  • 4/5 hreem S. 2 years ago on Google
Beef ribs and lamb shanks were tender and cauliflower was delicious and my absolute favourite. Oysters were fresh, chicken bits shawarma, beef skewers and beetroot were all ok. Smoked eggplant was not what I expected, not sure if we didn't mix the sauce properly or there wasn't enough sauce with the dish.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. We were served by Andrea and their team. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The plates are small and the recommendation is to have about six plates between two people. I would definitely recommend booking in advance as it was very busy on a Friday night. Looking forward to our next visit here.

Yum! Menu design for sharing. Absolutely perfect for birthday celebrations, family get-togethers, or just friends hanging out. There are plenty of delicious options on the menu from vegetarian, seafood to meat. I love the flavour of each dishes and my personal favourite is the scallops and eggplant. It is located on the main street, beautiful decor, and great service. Definitely will be back again.

My partner and I had a wonderful date night at Nour. The staff were very friendly, the service was fantastic and every time a new dish came out they did a great job of explaining the dish. Flavor-wise, we had the Signature Banquet, which serves 129 per people. The portions were generous, well balanced, flavorful and definitely worth the price. The octopus legit blew me away, loved the smoky flavor and the crispy potatoes underneath. Highly recommended. I will definitely go back again!

Such a gorgeous restaurant!! Had a wonderful time here, the food was delicious and the ambience just stunning. Thank you to Eduardo for being so attentive and kind during our time here and to the chef for being so lovely and checking in. The food was incredible. It was my birthday and they made it extra special with an icecream dish and a birthday message. Love this place. A new fave for me in Sydney ❤️✨

The restaurant is beautifully presented in warm tones and almost every available staff member greeted us on the way in which added to a wonderful first impression. From the perspective of food, the chicken shawarma, waygu beef skewers, grilled octopus and 500gm beef short rib were definite stand-outs and we'd happily have these again. Luckily, the cocktails are delicious and I highly recommended the 'Tamuru Passion'! Overall, a nice restaurant, a bit on the $$$ side but definitely worth a try, especially for the cocktails. Just skip the Moreton Bay Bug!

I cannot get enough of Nour and love coming here time and time again. The modern middle eastern flavours are outstanding with special mention to the shawarma and tamir and olive oil cake. I could have had an entire meal with just those two dishes. The cocktails… they are absolutely delicious and I couldn’t fault the service at all. All in all, spectacular!

Nour takes Middle Eastern food to unexpected heights. It definitely exceeded my expectations and filled a food hole in me that I never knew I had - that tangy sour finish that perfectly complements the savoury umami of a dish often with a hint of smokiness 💫🥰 It was present in each dish in a surprising and inventive way with some amazing textures. It’s the sort of place where the vegetable dishes shine as brightly (if not brighter) than the meat ones. Out favourite was the beetroot with sheep’s curd, pomegranate dressing and house pita 👏👏👏 Some of the accompanying sauces were so delicious that we ordered extra pita bread to sop it up. But really, order anything and watch your taste buds explode. They also have an interesting wine list and opted for an orange/skin contact wine from Georgia which went well with the dishes. The service was also friendly and quickly fixed a mistake made relating to our wine. Loved it and will be back ✨

Amazing place - unpretentious vibe, food quality high and impeccable service. Santiago the waiter pulled out all the stops for our group of eight celebrating two different milestones on the night. No cakeage charged but there is a service fee. Highly recommend.

Had the most gorgeous dining experience for my birthday. John was attentive, funny and provided us with excellent recommendations. The signature banquet was delectable and the cocktails were presented beautifully. Cauliflower and beef rib were the highlights (and I rarely eat meat!) Can’t wait to go back!

Warm and friendly atmosphere. Professional service with good help to make order. Woodfired scallop cooked perfect. top with some spicy is surprisingly delicious and not over powdered. Raw Tuna was fresh and flavour was well balanced. We love the Glazed Lamb shoulder. tender and juicy. If you love flavoursome foods that’s the place you like to go.

We had wanted to try NOUR for a while and finally got a table for a dinner setting, we sat outside which was lovely and the windows are all open inside so you can see the atmosphere inside which I think really helped build the vibe. Service: 5/5 on service, we had two lovely waiters one female and one male and they were both amazing. They had great knowledge on the dishes and also didn’t hurry to take plates away. Food: 5/5. We did the $89 banquet menu and my god was it worth it ! The chicken in yogurt bread was so tasty! I’d never had a dish like that. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The tuna was fresh. The cauliflower gave all the meals a good substance, and the eggplant - amazing. Vibe: it’s a nice restaurant so I would say dress up. The atmosphere was relaxed but busy. It wasn’t loud at all, which is usually what you get at popular restaurants and it can get annoying - but Nour had the perfect volume of music and people talking. Would recommend

  • 5/5 Emma L. 1 year ago on Google
We had the $89 banquet and it was so delicious! The bursts and pops of different flavors, the tender falling apart meats and that eggplant was DEVINE! Staff and atmosphere was perfect. 100% would recommend and would go back!

Not sure where to begin!!! From the moment we Arrived they made me feel special ! Booked with for my Birthday Amazing taste!! Fantastic service regardless of them being to busy!! Great atmosphere for group of people or romantic dinner Great price for what you ordered We ordered 80 percent of the menu and felt full!! We go again and again and recommend it to friends and family! Thank you to the chef and the amazing team customer service and management!

  • 5/5 Narelle R. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing place, food and cocktails. All reasonably priced for this calibre of dinning. Highly recommended. Only negative was how fast they brought out each of the dishes in the banquet, just meant we couldn’t savour the food and the experience as well as we would have liked to - for example we were still on the second dish when the third and forth were brought out, there wasn’t enough space on the table for it all and we struggled to find the time to pick a bottle of wine in between.

  • 5/5 Michelle 1 year ago on Google
The set menu and bottomless brunch was delicious! Each dish was unique and packed with flavour. It was hard to pick a fave, but the chicken shawarma and eggplant were standouts. The service was great all-round, our server Allie, was lovely.

  • 2/5 David M. 1 year ago on Google
I’m struggling to understand how this place rates 4.8 on Google. The food was lacklustre and after the meal both my partner and I were ill. The scallops were presented nicely but were overcooked. The prawns were alright but were missing something, a bit boring. Octopus was the best thing we ate all night, had heaps of flavour and octopus was tender, but not enough to make me want to come back. The fish of the day was nicely cooked but the whole dish was bland. Finally the cauliflower was nice but far too sweet to be balanced. I didn’t chance dessert after a extremely disappointing dinner. Overall the food was wildly off the mark, and I don’t understand how this place was so full when the food is substandard.

  • 5/5 Sky R. 1 year ago on Google
The atmosphere here is lovely and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. My friends and I had the small set menu and every single dish was an explosion of flavour! All dishes stood out and it was hard to pick a favorite. Will definitely be back

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to NOUR and would highly recommend it. There are so many dishes to choose from and the ones my friends and I chose were impeccable. My highlights were the woodfired eggplant, the beef short rib and the Jerusalem artichokes. The staff are very friendly and strike the right balance of checking that you have what you need without being intrusive. Even at its busiest, the restaurant was never too loud and noisy. It had a lovely ambience for an intimate dinner with friends.

Had a great dining experience at Nour. I would call it experimental Middle Eastern cuisine..that Lebanese label made me expect something different.. but I was pleasantly surprised.. our group had about 6 veg. Starters and entrée- all were very good.

Great food, great service. We went here for a dinner and had the second banquet. Some food is not really my taste but the cooking style is very creative and diverse. The service is really good too, workers were super friendly and responsive. Overall it was a great experience.

What experience having lunch at NOUR. The Lebanese inspired restaurant bring classic dishes and creative ones with a great execution. All the dishes we had were well thought well executed with big range of flavours and textures. Out of the various dishes we had I can say few things about the eggplant with a tapioca cracker. It was delicious. The chicken shawarma was espetacular, a must try. The winner of the lunch. The octopus was also great, well executed and tender. I would recommend the place and would come back.

  • 3/5 Shiyang S. 8 months ago on Google
Service were good. The entrée we ordered (chicken shawarma, wagyu skewer, areesheh cheese) were good. However we were a bit disappointed with the main (lamb shoulder and steamed market fish) as we had higher expectations before coming in. The lamb shoulder were a bit tough and too rich that we can’t manage to finish it. The garnish for steamed fish weren’t the best to match with. We ordered fried cauliflower as sides which taste okay. Finally we ordered the recommendation from wait staff (woodfired coconut basbosa) as dessert. We were not fan of this hot dessert.

  • 1/5 Sara L. 3 years ago on Google
After Finding something hard and clear in our eggplant based food and having one of our friends find it difficult to swallow it.We alerted the waitress, who checked it with the chef. We were told it was because the eggplant stalk was burnt. Once our friend who is a chef explained that there was no way it was eggplant (besides the point really) the waitress was so aggressive in her approach. A simple I’m so sorry this was your experience would have been sufficient. We were not angling for anything. Instead our whole table was completely embarrassed by her coming back and arguing the point further. Twice. After this We discovered she was the manager..I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service. We continued with our meal as we had booked a table in the current economic climate. I have to say compliments to the chef. But your key person of influence over your client experience is arrogant, entitled And unprofessional. Upon the manager getting feedback that we were unhappy we were delivered a complimentary dessert and a round of free drinks. We insisted on paying for it. We won’t be returning. There are so many businesses that need your support. Please go to one that wants and cherishes your business.

The new 'Nour' restaurant is a hit from the start and it’s easy to see why with comfortable surroundings, prompt and polite service and delicious food reasonably priced but of course there has to be a 'minus' and for me that was the music which, for me, was the wrong sort and too loud !

The food was out of this world. We decided on the banquet and it did not disappoint. Every dish was a flavour hit. The cocktails were not only pretty but the flavours were amazing too. I would of given this five stars if it wasn’t for the service. The young girl was horrible; rude, uninviting, and unresponsive. On two occasions she came over to ask if we wanted any other drinks, yet she was walking away before we could answer. Her manner was one of someone who didn’t want to be there and it really showed. If we felt more welcomed this would of easily been five stars. We will be back, based off the food alone.

We like every dishes! The nour didn’t disappointed us. The Cabbage skewer is a must try I will say. So much flavor even it supposed to be a simple element. The octopus also...every bite with different textures which is joyful.

Return visit to Nour and just as good second time around. Such a stylish, comfortable setting with efficient and friendly service plus delicious food. The felafel crumpet and chicken yoghurt bread wrap were appetising starters. We followed with the grilled octopus, wood fired eggplant and roasted cauliflower all supported by their own sauces and crumbs. The camel milk 'panda cotta' with berry and pistacchios was delicious. Looking forward to a third visit.

Subtle fusion and flavours, was very impressed. A little on the expensive side but with the service and the food you know it is worth it. I went with this monkey who.. too much to explain! I'd recommend the pizza. As vegetarians my options are limited like every where else but they seemed to have got the balance just right. Also I noticed it was more a couple time kinda place.. so if you heading off there, don't forget to make a reservation and ask for the window seat.

Had an experience which was nothing short of outstanding. All the dishes and cocktails were cooked to perfection - you wouldn’t think there was much middle eastern food in it but at its roots, all the flavours and spices were present. I would highly recommend the Crudo Kingfish, grilled baby snapper and falafel. The spiced pumpkin ice cream was well balanced, with just the right amount of spice to juxtapose against the sweetness of the pumpkin, and the halva ice cream created a dynamic overall in the plate. We also had the lychee cocktail and passion fruit and it was delightful. A shout out to our fantastic waitress Shyana (aka Shiny) for making our experience very pleasant.

Great restaurant vibe, excellent service and delicious food. Staff member (female) was really attentive, caring and funny. (Recommended the right drinks) Food was delicious and flavourful , highlight was the Skewer cabbage (Yes, Cabbage!) It had bold flavours and had interesting texture base on its presentation. The chicken bits (Taco style) was flavourful and delicious but hard to eat, cured beef with dates was tasty and interesting, Wagyu skewer had a bold citrus flavour which blends well as the Wagyu was rich. But the biggest highlight was the dessert .... Woodfire coconut basbousa with Jersey milk ice cream, it was so good.

Always busy, advised to make an online booking prior. Amazing service with the super friendly waiters and waitresses. Make sure you ask them about the food before ordering in case you haven't tried the dish before. All dishes would be customized as per your needs.

Great food and service, some portions might be a bit small knowing you share it and for the price but the quality and taste is definitely here. We took the $69 pp banquet and it was for sure enough food for the both of us. Would recommend this place for a nice dinner and if you want to celebrate something special!

Beautiful food, great staff and service. I had Lemonade Martini at the bar prepared by a very guy that start the evening with a good note. Great atmosphere. The receptionist was a very friendly guy and always make sure we were being looked after. Moving on to the food. Cooked beautiful. All Meeze were very tasty (specially the cabbage entre. The best I've ever had) and main (beef ribs) was falling out of the bone. The Italian guy that served me and my wife while we were at the table was essential for us to have a good experience. Great guy as well. Overall, I highly recommend because of the food (authentic and unique. Not your normal bread and dips that everyone expects but a very original and authentic middle eastern food), beautiful place/location but most of all the staff makes up for the best Lebanese restaurant in Sydney. We'll done. Definitely will come back.

Exceptional. Probably the best service I’ve had in Sydney. Every waiter was beyond helpful and friendly (even when we asked to move table because it was a bit hot next to the kitchen). Food was stunning. Nothing I can fault. It’s not cheap but I felt it was worth it.

Eating brunch at Nour was a very good experience for me, friendly staff, pleasant ambiance, good service, tasty Middle Eastern food. Don’t miss it!

Really unique food, delicious and great wine! Also really friendly and knowledgeable service staff. We had a wonderful night but I would keep to special occasions due to their price point. We had a bottle of wine and two small plates and a large to share and spent around the $200 mark.

The food was incredible and generous and the service attentive and friendly without being at all overwhelming and the restaurant setting is beautiful. We had the brunch set menu and loved it, although I think it would be hard to go wrong with any of the menu offerings!

What an amazing restuarant. The best food and service my wife and I have ever had. Went there for an anniversary dinner and were blown away from start to the finish with the delicious flavours and classy dinning experience. Perfection is hard to come by, but this was it! The waiter was excellent and the owner was very friendly also. Will be my pleasure to come back again. Paris

My boyfriend and I dined at Nour for the first time this evening to celebrate my new job. From start to finish everything was exceptional! Highlights on the menu were the Crudo of Kingfish, the Coal Grilled Octopus and the Hummus from the Mezze section, however the mains that we had of the Lamb Shoulder and Fried Cauliflower were also incredible, as were the desserts...it was basically all amazing! Our night was topped off by fantastic service from both Francisco and Jason! Hats off to both of these guys for being so attentive and making our evening memorable! We’ll definitely be back soon for another visit!

If you are in Sydney and you love amazing food in a great atmosphere with fantastic customer service - you absolutely must not miss this place. We had the woodfired eggplant, kingfish, tomato salad, baby snapper and mujaddara. Wow. Superb food. The standouts were the tomato salad and snapper. Seemingly some food but packed full of flavour. The restaurant is modern in ambience but authentic to Middle Eastern flavours. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous. They are attentive without being overbearing, giving us space to enjoy the atmosphere and food in peace. Nour will be a stop on any trip to Sydney from now.

Amazing. The best modern Middle Eastern fusion dining experience in Australia. Takes all the traditional flavors you love and creates culinary artwork masterpieces on plates.
